Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' Debuts On Netflix With Staggering Viewership
Mumbai, November 8 - The highest-grossing Indian movie of 2023 Jawan starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan, debuted on Netflix with a staggering viewership. The movie grossed over 1150 crores at the worldwide box office during its theatrical run and was released on OTT after 8 weeks on November 2nd with an extended version. ## Directed by Atlee Kumar, the Hindi version of the action thriller scored 14.9 million viewing hours from 5.2 million views during its opening weekend of November 2 - November 5. It was the 4th most non-English movie worldwide on Netflix during the week of October 30 - November 5. The movie is trending in the top 10 in 18 countries, including number 1 in India, Sri Lanka, UAE, and 8 other countries. ## The Tamil and Telugu extended cut of "Jawan" also made it to the top 10 most-watched films in India during the same week, however, the viewership numbers for both weren't revealed by Netflix. In India, the Hindi version of the film easily topped the viewership chart, followed by the Telugu movie "Mad". ## Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, "Jawan" is an action thriller, revolving around the social injustice in society and the corruption done by the politicians. It stars Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role as father and son who team up to rectify corruption in society. Nayanthara plays the female lead while Vijay Sethupathi appears as the main antagonist.## Deepika Padukone plays an extended cameo appearance in the movie alongside Sanjay Dutt in a cameo role. Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, and Mukesh Chhabra have also appeared in other prominent roles in the film.## Stay tuned...
