Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan's 'The King' Reportedly Put On Hold

Mumbai, January 31 - Last year, it was reported that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be teaming up with his daughter Suhana Khan to headline director Sujoy Ghosh's directorial. The movie was reportedly titled The King and was supposed to go on floors early this year. ## Suhana Khan recently made her acting debut with director Zoya Akhtar's "The Archies" which was directly released on Netflix. The film failed to provide a memorable launch pad for Suhana, and it looks like she will have to wait a bit longer to taste the success. ## According to the latest reports, SRK has put "The King", in which he was supposed to play an extended role, on hold as it is said that he isn't keen on his daughter being subjected to unfair comparisons to the superstar, especially after "The Archies". SRK himself is looking to play larger-than-life roles after the king of success he has had in the last year in the form of "Pathaan", "Jawan", and "Dunki". ## "I don’t think that project is happening, not after The Archies. Suhana needs to find a project as far removed from her father as possible. Earlier, SRK was tempted to get on camera with his daughter ASAP. Mumbai, January 31 - After the glorious box office journey, Ranbir Kapoor-led Animal is proving to be a jackpot for Netflix with record viewership. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the action drama film was put on streaming on January 26, eight weeks after the theatrical release in all versions. ## Animal, a topic of discussion on social media over its sensitive subject, scored a massive 20.8 million viewing hours from 6.2 million views in the first 3 days. It is easily the most-viewed post-theatrical release on Netflix in the opening weekend and it could become the most-viewed Indian film for the streamer. ## The movie has comfortably beaten the viewership of the recently released Pan India movie Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, which has scored 10.30 million viewing hours from 3.5 million views in the first 10 days. Mumbai, January 28 - Actor Vicky Kaushal was one of the few actors who succeeded at the box office in 2023. The actor hasn't had much success since Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) until last year in which two of his three theatrical releases emerged as box-office hits and he also played a vital cameo in Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki. ## One of the successful films of the actor was biographical drama Sam Bahadur. The Meghna Gulzar's directorial film was released on December 1, 2023, in a direct clash with mega blockbuster Animal. Despite the juggernaut of Ranbir Kapoor-starrer, Sam Bahadur managed to get the love of its target audience. ## Produced by RSVP Movies, Sam Bahadur opened to a decent collection of 6.25 crores net and with positive word of mouth, the film managed to clock around 25.50 crores net in the first weekend and approximately 39 crores net in the full week. The movie showed a good hold in the second weekend earning around 26 crores net, followed by another good hold in the third week for 17.35 crores net. ## Sam Bahadur, after the arrival of Dunki and Salaar, found things tough but still kept pushing due to the positive word-of-mouth as it scored around 12 crores net in the next 5 weeks. Mumbai, January 27 - Hrithik Roshan's Fighter, after the big jump of around 75% on Republic Day, shows a very good hold in the collection on Saturday/third day. The movie did well to beat the opening day numbers and beat them comfortably. ## The film needed to score above the first-day collection and try to reach around thirty crores net which it has done as early estimates suggest the third-day collection in the range of 28 crores net (final collection may vary on either side depending on single screens). Mumbai, January 25 - After a decent opening day collection of approximately 22.50 crores net, Hrithik Roshan and director Siddharth Anand's Fighter has witnessed a massive turnaround on Republic Day as collection jumped by around 70% which is excellent. ## A more than 50% jump was a must for Fighter on the second day to take advantage of the holiday after the decent start, but here, the film showed a huge improvement over the opening day as early estimates suggest collection in the range of 38 crores net. ## The positive word of mouth showed its effect as mass centres scored big jumps as a collection in some of the centres doubled up from the first day. Mega Blockbuster 'Animal' Final Worldwide Box Office Collection and Records

Mumbai, January 25 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's action drama Animal, which marked the duo's maiden collaboration, has started playing on Netflix, but not before setting new box office benchmarks for Indian cinema.## Animal was released on December 1, 2023, and instantly caught the moviegoers' attention despite the criticism from a section of society for the subject of the movie. The movie was censored with adult adult-only certificate and despite age restrictions, it opened to historic numbers at the box office by taking the opening of 76 crores gross (63.80 crores net) in India. ## The opening of the film was just a trailer for what was coming next as it went on the score over 200 crores net (240+ crores gross) in the 3-day opening weekend and 337+ crores net (402 crores gross) in the first full week. Mumbai, January 25 - Hrithik Roshan and director Siddharth Anand's third film together Fighter hit the big screens today. The film had underwhelming pre-sales for the opening day which left so much on-the-spot booking for the chances of a big opening at the box office.## The movie had a slow start in the morning with an average occupancy of around 10-15% before witnessing a minor jump in the afternoon and a further improvement in the evening and night shows, however, the big jump in the occupancy was missing throughout the day. ## Fighter managed to cross the 20 crores net mark as early estimates suggest the opening in the range of 21-22 crores net. The opening can be called a decent though a much better start was expected from the combo of Hrithik and Siddharth. Mumbai, January 23 - Bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone Fighter has failed to get censor approval in Gulf countries. The Siddharth Anand's directorial aerial action flick is scheduled to be released on January 25. ## According to the latest reports, entire Gulf countries, except for UAE, have banned "Fighter". The film was submitted to the censor on January 10, and on January 23, it was officially communicated that the movie wouldn't be hitting the big screen in the Gulf. However, the film will be released in UAE as scheduled with a PG-15 rating. ## The reason behind the ban has not been revealed yet. Recently, superstar Salman Khan's "Tiger 3" was also banned in Kuwait and Qatar for its theatrical release.
