Superstar Aamir Khan's Next With Director RS Prassana Gets Interesting Title

Mumbai, October 6 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen in "Lal Singh Chaddha" in 2022, has set his next release on Christmas 2024. According to reports, Aamir will be headlining the official adaptation of the Spanish sports dramedy, Champions, with RS Prassana as the director. ## Aamir was supposed to headline the "Champions" adaptation immediately after LSC, but after the later movie failed at the box office, the superstar dropped the idea of taking another remake before he finally decided to headline as well as produce it. The shoot for the same is expected to commence in January 2024 for Christmas release later in the year. ## The pre-production of the movie is going on at a brisk pace. Meanwhile, according to Pinkvilla, Aamir and his team have locked the title which is very much identical to one of his past blockbusters. It is said that the movie has been titled "Sitaare Zameen Par" which is about a sports coach bonding with and training a team of specially-abled kids, much like "Taare Zameen Par", which chronicled the journey of a teacher and specially-abled student. ## The film is a slice-of-life sports drama which Amair has mastered over the years. The movie will clash with Akshay Kumar's "Welcome to The Jungle" aka "Welcome 3". Mumbai, October 5 - Last year, it was reported that Bollywood star Ajay Devgn would be returning to reprise his role of Jaswinder "Jassi" Singh Randhawa in the sequel to his 2012 movie Son of Sardaar. However, there have been no updates regarding the same since then until yesterday.## According to reports, Son of Sardaar 2 is officially in the works and it will go on floors around summer next year. It is said that Ajay Devgn is trying to turn SOS into a franchise and has been working with his team on the idea for the sequel to take the franchise forward.## Ajay and the team have finally locked an idea for SOS 2 and the official announcement of the movie is expected to be made soon. Sunny, who just yesterday announced his reunion with Rajkumar Santoshi for a period action drama film Lahore 1947, has been in talks for the sequel to Border and there is finally good news regarding the same.## According to a report by Pinkvilla, actor Ayushmann Khurana is in the advanced talks to join Sunny Deol in this epic war drama sequel. The actor will play the parallel lead alongside Sunny in Border 2, to be directed by JP Dutta who will also produce it with Bhushan Kumar of T-Series.## The makers have planned to make Border 2 on a grand scale and have a vision to make it the biggest war drama film in Indian cinema. The movie is currently in the scripting stage and will start shooting in mid-next year. December 2023 To Become The First Month To Register 1000 Crores Net Collection At The Hindi Box Office?

Mumbai, October 4 - The revival of the Indian box office, especially of Bollywood post the horror of the COVID-19 pandemic has been heartening. In 2023, the box office soared to new heights and has already crossed 8000 crores gross in India with still 3 blockbuster months left in the tank.## This year, the Hindi film industry rose from Phoenix and created new records at the domestic box office. It all began with Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Pathaan in January and this box office juggernaut is continuing with his latest blockbuster, Jawan, starring SRK again. ## Such has been the response from moviegoers that 2023 recorded the biggest signal month collection of all time in August when Sunny Deol's monster blockbuster, Gadar 2: The Katha Continues and Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 released. With 814 crores net collection, August is now the biggest single month ever at the Hindi box office. The following month, September is second best with 689 crores net, thanks to Jawan which became the biggest Bollywood grosser of all time.## The Bollywood industry is hook-a-cook over the historic box office performance this year, but be rest assured, the potential biggest month of the year is yet to come. December 2023 is packed with, not one but multiple blockbusters. If there is no postponement from the current schedule, the last month of the year will potentially become the biggest ever in Hindi domestically.## The December month carnage will begin with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal and Vicky Kaushal-starrer Sam Bahadur on December 1st. The gangster action drama, Animal, which is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is particularly having a sky-high buzz and it is expected to emerge as Ranbir's one of biggest grossers ever. ## Sam Bahadur, which is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw who was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, is directed by Meghna Gulzar and as far as the box office is concerned, it carried the potential of turning beast as Kaushal has proved his mettle with patriotic film in the past.## A week later, Sidharth Malhotra's aerial action thriller, Yodha and Katrina Kaif's Merry Christmas will take on each other on December 8. Originally scheduled for December 15, both movies recently advanced their release dates. Yodha vs. Merry Christmas is perhaps the lesser-hyped clash at the moment but it can generate buzz after the teaser/trailer launch and can emerge as the dark horse at the box office.## The biggest box office clash of the year, or possibly the Indian cinema, superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas-fronted Salaar will take place on December 22 during the Christmas weekend. SRK, after delivering two back-to-back mega-blockbusters, will look to score a hat-trick and with Rajkumar Hirani in the director's chair, Dunki is already looking like a box office volcano.## Salaar, from the makers of the KGF franchise, can emerge as another big hit at the Hindi box office from South India. It is easily the most-awaited Pan-Indian movie and with superstar Prabhas in the lead role under the direction of Prashanth Neel, Salaar should score a big success in Hindi.## There is enough scope for the aforementioned films to make December 2023 the biggest month of all time, and eventually the first 1000 crores net or more. However, all the movies released in December will have to fight out for the screens, not only with each other but also with the holdover movies. Mumbai, October 3 - After the good extended holiday weekend, comic caper "Fukrey 3" sees a drop on its first working day. The drop from Monday, which was a Gandhi Jayanti holiday, is around 60% while the same is around 40% from Friday which is a bit higher than expected. ## On its first Tuesday/6th day, "Fukrey 3" scored an estimated 4.50 crores net collection (can go higher) which takes the total collection to around 59.50 crores in 6 days. A 5+ crore net Tuesday would have been a nice hold. The first 8-day extended weekend is looking to be around 67 crores. ## "Fukrey 3", despite the underwhelming first working day, is in a safe position due to the controlled budget. The movie is still in the race to join the 100 Crores Net Club, but if it falls short, the movie will be a box-office success. It should be able to cross the lifetime collection of its predecessor which scored approximately 80 crores net in 2017 in the second weekend.## "Fukrey Returns" had scored 50 crores net in the first week which the latest hit crossed in just 5 days. Mumbai, September 29 - Director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba's "Fukrey 3" had a good opening at the domestic box office with 8.82 crores net collection upon its Thursday release. It is the biggest opening in the franchise which has been super successful at the box office.## The movie is showing a drop of around 10-15% on its second day/first Friday for an estimated 7.50 crores net collection. The drop was expected as the Thursday opening day of the movie was a partial holiday due to Eid in some states. ## The collection of the movie is strong in Delhi and UP where the previous two films have done well and the latest movie continues the trend. Mumbai, September 28 - Director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba's "Fukrey 3" has taken the franchise's best opening at the domestic box office. The comic caper manages to surpass the opening of "Fukrey Returns" which scored 8.10 crores net. ## "Fukrey 3" released some expectations, mainly due to the strong franchise recall value. It started on a decent note in the morning shows and witnessed some growth as the day progressed as it scored an estimated around 8.50 crores net and might go towards 9 crores. ## The three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis) have contributed over 50% to the opening day collection of "Fukrey 3". The mass centres are not that strong though they should come in the picture over the weekend as the movie is carrying decent word of mouth. ## The second release of the day, Vivek Agnihotri's "The Vaccine War" has a low start as it scored around 1.50 crores net on opening day. The buzz for the movie died down in the last few days after generating awareness a few weeks back. ## Agnihotri's last film "The Kashmir Files" was a massive blockbuster but here, the opening of "The Vaccine War" is not even half of TKF which minted 3.55 crores net. The opening of TKF was itself not big but it went on to score over 250 crore net after managing to connect with sentiments of the audiences.
