'Tumbbad' Re-Release Sets A Major Record On Book My Show
Mumbai, October 8 - Producer Sohum Shah's folk horror thriller Tumbbad has become a big success in its re-release run. After the dismal show upon its original release in 2018, the movie was re-launched on September 13 this year and since then it has managed to turn things upside down. ## Tumbbad has been re-writing history for a re-release title at the Indian box office. It has become the highest-grossing re-release movie in India by beating Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli. Now, the movie has set a new record on the ticketing platform, Book My Show. ## Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, the movie has sold 1+ million tickets so far on BMS, making it the first re-release movie ever to achieve the feat. At the box office, it has grossed approximately 36 crores so far in 25 days.## Tumbbad was a box office flop in its original release, but thanks to the tremendous response to its repeat run, the movie has managed to overturn the verdict to emerge as a hit. Including the original gross collection of 16 crores, the movie has grossed approximately 52 crores (43.75 crores net) worldwide. ## A sequel to the movie has been confirmed and is likely to start rolling next year.## Stay tuned...
