Kota Ibushi Officially Signs With All Elite Wrestling (AEW)

Los Angeles, 15 November - All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has officially welcomed Kota Ibushi into its roster.

The announcement came following a Like a Dragon Gaiden Street Fight where Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, Kota Ibushi, and Paul Wight emerged victorious against Konosuke Takeshita, Powerhouse Hobbs, Kyle Fletcher, and Brian Cage. Tony Khan confirmed Ibushi's signing on the X platform.



Kota Ibushi marked his AEW debut on the July 13, 2023 episode of Dynamite as the surprise partner for The Elite in their Blood And Guts match against the Blackpool Combat Club. This reunion with Omega led to the reformation of the Golden Lovers, now operating under the "Golden Elite" moniker, considering the involvement of Hangman Page and the Young Bucks. The team secured victory in the subsequent week's match.

Having spent the past several years competing in Japan, Ibushi has earned a reputation as one of the world's premier wrestlers. Renowned for his high-flying acrobatics and innovative maneuvers, his AEW debut was met with an enthusiastic response from fans. Ibushi is anticipated to play a significant role in the company and may even vie for the AEW World Championship in the coming months.
