Raja Shivaji Box Office: Riteish Deshmukh's Historical Epic Downs Sairat To Become Highest-Grossing Marathi Film

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, May 22 - The decade-long record of director Nagraj Manjule's social romantic tragedy Sairat has finally been broken as Riteish Deshmukh's historical epic Raja Shivaji has become the highest-grossing Marathi film of all time, taking just 22 days to achieve the historic feat. Produced by Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company, Raja Shivaji minted around 109.35 crores worldwide in three weeks (21 days), and it has surpassed the total gross of Sairat (110 crores) at the time of writing this piece to become the number 1 Marathi grosser ever. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Raja Shivaji, however, received support from its Hindi dubbed version, unlike Sairat, which was purely a Marathi-language release. Directed by and starring Riteish Deshmukh, the blockbuster has grossed approximately 29 crores from the Hindi version and over 76 crores gross from the original Marathi version in 21 days, while the overseas contribution stands at an estimated 4.20 crores so far. Released on May 1 on the occasion of Maharashtra Day, Raja Shivaji opened to record-breaking numbers with approximately 13.85 crores worldwide on its first day. The film remained exceptionally strong throughout the opening weekend, collecting around 41.65 crores worldwide in its first three days, setting a new benchmark for Marathi cinema. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The historical action drama, based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, showed a solid hold during the weekdays of its initial week. However, mixed word of mouth impacted the film's long-term theatrical run, with collections beginning to slow down after the second weekend. The 150 crores worldwide milestone, which looked possible after the huge opening weekend, now appears out of reach. Despite the slowdown, Raja Shivaji is still expected to finish its theatrical run close to the 125 crores mark, which would be a solid result for a regional-language title. The film has performed excellently in Maharashtra, where the subject and emotional connect with audiences helped it emerge as one of the biggest Marathi blockbusters ever produced. Bhooth Bangla Week 5 Box Office : Rs. 7.15 Cr; Needs Rs.36 Cr to Dethrone Sooryavanshi as Top Post-COVID Grosser

The horror-comedy genre has long been a favorite for Indian audiences, but every so often, a film comes along that truly captures the zeitgeist. Bhooth Bangla has done exactly that, proving that with the right mix of chills and chuckles, a movie can sustain interest well into its second month. As the film concludes its fifth week, the steady flow of moolah into the producers kitty suggests that this ghost story has plenty of life left in it. On its 35th day, which happened to be the fifth Thursday, the film added 0.70 Cr to its total. This represents a minor 12.5% drop from the previous day's 0.80 Cr collection, showing a very healthy hold in theaters. By the end of this seven-day stretch, Bhooth Bangla managed to rake in a stellar 7.15 Cr, bringing the total India net collection to a commendable 171.45 Cr. The India gross has now officially crossed the major milestone of 200 Cr, currently sitting at 203.21 Cr. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Bhooth Bangla - Week 5 Box Office Breakdown DAY COLLECTION (NET) SHOWS OCCUPANCY Day 29 (Friday) ₹ 0.75 Cr 2,297 11.0% Day 30 (Saturday) ₹ 1.40 Cr 2,397 16.0% Day 31 (Sunday) ₹ 1.90 Cr 2,442 21.0% Day 32 (Monday) ₹ 0.70 Cr 2,384 11.0% Day 33 (Tuesday) ₹ 0.90 Cr 2,439 18.0% Day 34 (Wednesday) ₹ 0.80 Cr 2,457 12.0% Day 35 (Thursday) ₹ 0.70 Cr 2,219 11.0% Total Week 5 ₹ 7.15 Cr - - When analyzing the screening frequency for the week, the film maintained a footprint of 16,635 shows across the country. The average occupancy for this fifth-week period stood at approximately 14.28%. While the weekdays saw a more modest turnout, the weekend surge—peaking at 21.0% on Sunday—significantly bolstered the average. On the international front, the film added 0.03 Cr on Day 35, taking its total overseas gross to 53.66 Cr. This pushes the worldwide gross collection to a massive 256.87 Cr, achieved across a total of 221,300 shows since its release. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Looking at the ground-level engagement through ticket sales, we see a logical and expected dip. In the major national multiplex chains like PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis, the film sold a combined total of 30,180 tickets during this fifth week. For context, the fourth week saw a total of 56,592 tickets in these chains, so the film is holding nearly half its previous week strength. The digital footprint on BookMyShow is equally impressive; the film recorded 128.66K ticket bookings this week, compared to 234K in the fourth week. Impressively, the total lifetime ticket sales on BMS have now hit 3.20 million, placing it at the 7th spot in the all-time ticket sales leaderboard for the 2025-26 season. What makes this fifth-week performance truly remarkable is how it comfortably towers over other post-COVID blockbusters. Bhooth Bangla has managed to outshine every major competitor in this specific time frame, showcasing a level of durability that most big-ticket releases lose after the first few weeks. To put things in perspective, the film has more than doubled the fifth-week earnings of some of the biggest hits in recent years, proving that its grip on the audience is uniquely strong. Here is how it ranks among the elite Week 5 performers: 1. Bhooth Bangla - ₹ 7.15 Cr 2. Sooryavanshi - ₹ 2.98 Cr 3. Jolly LLB 3 - ₹ 2.00 Cr 4. OMG 2 - ₹ 0.97 Cr 5. Sky Force - ₹ 0.70 Cr Ultimately, Bhooth Bangla's ability to tower over the charts this late in the game is a clear signal of its massive staying power. While most films run out of steam and screen space after the first month, this horror-comedy is still adding significant moolah to its already impressive tally. It has evolved from a strong opening into a historic theatrical marathon, setting a daunting benchmark for any upcoming films in the genre to try and match.

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge Week 9 Box Office Collection: Rs. 2.19 Cr Net; Steady Footfalls for the Spy Epic as it Completes a Historic 64-Day Marathon

BY SACNILK

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has done more than just break records; it has effectively redefined the impact of a franchise film within the larger spy universe. This cinematic world has built significant trust with the audience, and this sequel has capitalized on that goodwill to reach heights rarely seen in Indian cinema. When we talk about the landscape of modern Indian cinema, the spy universe has emerged as a juggernaut, creating a level of excitement that few other franchises can match. Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is the latest titan in this cinematic world, and its performance has been nothing short of historic. As the film navigates its ninth week at the box office, it is not just fighting for numbers; it is solidifying its legacy as a once-in-a-generation blockbuster. Let us dive into the data to see how this heavy hitter is wrapping up its record-breaking journey. As we enter the twilight of its theatrical run, the momentum remains remarkably steady. On Day 64, which was the tenth Thursday, the film brought in a net collection of 0.20 Cr. What is interesting here for those following the trends is the absolute stability; this figure is an exact match to the 0.20 Cr collected on Wednesday. Holding its ground across 368 shows after more than two months is a clear indicator that the audience interest has not completely evaporated, even with newer releases hitting the screens. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge - Week 9 Box Office Breakdown DAY COLLECTION (NET) SHOWS OCCUPANCY Day 58 (Friday) ₹ 0.26 Cr 389 15.2% Day 59 (Saturday) ₹ 0.53 Cr 418 28.0% Day 60 (Sunday) ₹ 0.63 Cr 436 32.8% Day 61 (Monday) ₹ 0.15 Cr 389 14.0% Day 62 (Tuesday) ₹ 0.22 Cr 408 27.0% Day 63 (Wednesday) ₹ 0.20 Cr 409 16.0% Day 64 (Thursday) ₹ 0.20 Cr 368 16.0% Total Week 9 ₹ 2.19 Cr - - When analyzing the screening frequency and theater fill-rates for the week, the film maintained a footprint of 2,817 shows across the country. The average occupancy for this seven-day period stood at approximately 21.28%. While the weekdays saw a more modest turnout, the weekend surge—peaking at 32.8% on Sunday—significantly bolstered the average, proving that the film still has enough legs to draw in crowds during leisure hours even after two months of dominance. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The bigger picture is where the numbers truly become staggering. To date, the total India net collection has reached 1,146.75 Cr, while the India gross stands at 1,372.42 Cr. When we factor in the overseas market, where the film has grossed 426.67 Cr, the worldwide total hits a massive 1,799.09 Cr. This officially makes it the second highest-grossing Indian film of all time globally. This feat was achieved through a marathon run spanning 524,278 shows, showing just how wide the film was distributed to reach every corner of the audience. Looking at the ground-level engagement through ticket sales, we see a logical and expected dip. In the major national chains—PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis—the film sold a combined total of 20,963 tickets over the last seven days. While the weekend saw the usual spike, the weekday numbers show a predictable cooling off. Similarly, on BookMyShow, the movie recorded approximately 41.70K ticket sales for the week until the tracking concluded on Day 62. To give you some context, the eighth week saw about 81,000 tickets booked through the same platform, so the sales have effectively halved as the film reaches its natural saturation point. In the end, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has proven that the spy universe is a goldmine when backed by the right scale and storytelling. While a 2.19 Cr ninth week might seem small compared to its opening days, it is the finishing touch on a colossal mountain of revenue. The film has already done its job, rewriting the record books and setting a daunting benchmark for any future blockbusters to follow.

Dhurandhar: Raw and Undekha Gets Streaming Release Date On Netflix And JioHotstar

BY SACNILK

Mumbai, May 21 - The first Dhurandhar is not done yet. After the record-breaking box office run and setting viewership records on Netflix, the extended and uncensored version of Aditya Dhar's directorial is set to stream on both Netflix and JioHotstar. On Thursday, both platforms announced that the Dhurandhar: Raw & Undekha version will start streaming on May 22 in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. The announcement quickly grabbed attention on social media, with fans expressing excitement over the alternate version. Many viewers had previously claimed that the earlier OTT release featured trimmed sequences and toned-down dialogues compared to the theatrical cut. The newly announced Raw & Undekha edition is expected to restore several of those moments while presenting the film in a grittier format. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) Soon after the streaming date was revealed, confusion spread online as some users assumed the announcement was related to Dhurandhar: The Revenge. However, reports later clarified that the upcoming release is an alternate cut of the original Dhurandhar and not the sequel, which will begin streaming on JioHotstar on June 4, followed by Netflix on June 19. The film, headlined by Ranveer Singh, emerged as one of the biggest action entertainers of the year and performed exceptionally across theatrical markets. With the extended version now arriving on OTT, viewers who wanted a more uncensored experience are expected to revisit the film once again. The dual-platform release on Netflix and JioHotstar is also likely to boost the film's digital reach significantly.

Dhurandhar 2 Day 63 Box Office: 0.20 Cr Net Collection With Record-Breaking BMS Sales Streak

BY SACNILK

We are looking at the final stretch of a historic journey as Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge completes its 63rd day at the box office. If you have been tracking this film since its massive opening weekend, you know we are witnessing a rare level of theatrical stamina. As of today, the active ticket sales on digital platforms have finally come to a halt, marking the end of a record-breaking 62-day run on BookMyShow. On its ninth Wednesday, the movie added another 20 lakh rupees to its domestic net total. When we compare this to Tuesday's collection of 22 lakh, we see a very logical 9 percent dip. For a film that has been playing in theaters for over two months, this kind of stability is quite impressive. The movie operated across 409 shows today, which is just a small fraction of the massive 523,910 total shows it has screened throughout its entire run. To give you some perspective on this longevity, this sequel has officially outlasted the first Dhurandhar film (59 days). It also comfortably moved past other major hits like Chhaava (58 days), Stree 2 (57 days), and even Pushpa 2 (53 days). This 62-day streak has now set a new benchmark for modern blockbusters, showing just how much the audience was willing to keep coming back to the big screen. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) If we look at the ticket sales in the major national chains for the day, the numbers are modest but tell a consistent story. PVR recorded about 535 tickets, while INOX and Cinepolis contributed 210 and 148 tickets respectively. This brings the total tickets sold across these three major chains to 893 for the day. While these might seem like small numbers in isolation, they have been the final building blocks in pushing the total India net collection to a staggering 1,146.55 crore rupees. The global picture is even more massive. With a domestic gross of 1,372.19 crore and an overseas contribution of 426.67 crore, the worldwide total now stands at 1,798.86 crore rupees. The Hindi version alone has been the primary engine for this success, contributing over 1,078 crore to the net total, followed by significant contributions from the Telugu and Tamil markets. Even on day 63, the occupancy levels remained surprisingly healthy in key regions. In Mumbai, the film still managed a 17 percent occupancy rate, with afternoon shows peaking at 21 percent. In the National Capital Region, the overall occupancy stayed around 12 percent. These figures suggest that even with a limited show count, the film continued to find a dedicated audience in the major metros right until the end. Ultimately, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is finishing its theatrical run exactly how it started: by rewriting the record books. It is not just about the final 1,800 crore gross milestone, but about the incredible endurance it showed over nine long weeks. As the curtains finally close on this run, it leaves behind a legacy that will be a massive challenge for any upcoming release to match.

Dhurandhar 2 Day 62 Box Office: Sequel earns 0.22 crore and posts a massive 46% jump in ninth week

BY SACNILK

Entering the ninth week of a theatrical run is a significant milestone for any modern blockbuster, but doing so with a visible growth spurt is nearly unheard of. Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues to rewrite the record books, proving that its theatrical lifecycle is far from over even as it enters its 62nd day of release. On Tuesday, the film added a net of 0.22 crore to its kitty. While the absolute number is smaller due to the natural reduction in screen count, it represents a substantial 46.7 percent jump compared to Monday's collection of 0.15 crore. For a film to post a nearly 50 percent mid-week increase in its ninth week is a clear signal of sustained demand for the 408 shows still running across the country. With this daily haul, the total India net collection has reached a staggering 1,146.35 crore. A deep dive into the language breakdown shows the Hindi version leading with 1,077.81 crore, while the Telugu and Tamil versions have contributed 43.07 crore and 19.83 crore respectively. The total India gross for the film now stands at a towering 1,371.95 crore. Regionally, the film is holding fort exceptionally well in major metros. Mumbai led the charge on Day 62 with an impressive 30.8 percent occupancy over 38 shows, with night screenings peaking at 38 percent. The National Capital Region followed closely with 27.5 percent occupancy across 70 shows. Even in Ahmedabad, the film maintained a 21 percent occupancy rate, demonstrating that audience interest remains geographically diverse even after two months in theaters. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) In the national multiplex chains, the film recorded 3,570 ticket sales across 280 shows, resulting in a daily gross of 5.30 lakh from these specific venues. PVR remained the top contributor among the chains with 1,645 tickets sold. The 7.5 percent occupancy in these premium formats suggests that the film is effectively filling its allocated seats, ensuring that every show remains commercially viable for exhibitors. Digital tracking through BookMyShow further validates this late-stage surge. Daily ticket bookings climbed from 5.24 thousand on Monday to 6.8 thousand on Tuesday. Since its release, the film has sold a historic total of over 1.83 crore tickets on this platform alone. This level of digital footprint reflects a level of popularity that few films in the history of Indian cinema have managed to achieve. The global story is equally impressive. The film has grossed 426.67 crore in overseas markets so far. When combined with the domestic performance, the total worldwide gross for Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge now stands at a massive 1,798.62 crore. The film is now just a few steps away from breaching the 1,800 crore global milestone, a feat that would further cement its place in the all-time record books.

The Dhurandhar franchise is currently witnessing a rare phenomenon on Netflix, where both the prequel and the newly released sequel are dominating global and regional charts simultaneously. While the sequel, Dhurandhar The Revenge (Raw & Undekha), is making waves across international markets, the original film continues to hold its ground in India with remarkable consistency. In its debut week between May 11 and May 17, 2026, Dhurandhar The Revenge has secured the number 5 spot on Netflix's Global Top 10 for Non-English movies. The film garnered 1.8 million views (18 lakh views) in its first weekend alone. Despite its massive runtime of 3 hours and 52 minutes, it clocked an impressive 6.8 million hours viewed (68 lakh hours), indicating high audience retention despite the length. What makes this global success particularly interesting is that the sequel is currently not streaming in India. Despite this, the film has managed to hit the number 1 spot in 9 different countries and featured in the Top 10 across 17 countries worldwide. The franchise's reach has expanded across continents, including significant traction in Europe, Africa, and Oceania. Additionally, it trended in the Top 10 in Nigeria (Africa), Malta (Europe), Australia, and New Zealand (Oceania). This widespread appeal showcases the franchise's transition into a global action brand. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) While the sequel conquers the world, the prequel, Dhurandhar, is creating its own legacy in the Indian market. The original film has remarkably spent 16 weeks in the Top 10 in India, currently sitting at the number 5 position. This longevity is nearly unheard of in the streaming era, where content cycles usually last only a few weeks. The prequel is also trending in the Top 10 in Bangladesh and Pakistan, making the franchise a dominant force across the entire South Asian subcontinent. India: Prequel has spent 16 weeks in the Top 10 (Sequel not released). Bangladesh: Sequel is ranked #1; Prequel is currently in the Top 10. Pakistan: Sequel is ranked #1; Prequel is currently in the Top 10. UAE / Qatar: Sequel is ranked #1. The fact that both installments of the franchise are holding the number 5 spot simultaneously—one on the global chart and the other in India—highlights a very efficient viewership cycle. It suggests that while the sequel is successfully capturing the international market, the Indian audience remains consistently engaged with the original film and the character of Hamza.

Bhooth Bangla Day 33 Box Office Collection: Film earns 0.90 crore with a remarkable 28.6% growth on its fifth Tuesday

BY SACNILK

Bhooth Bangla is exhibiting a rare level of theatrical longevity as it moves through its fifth week. On Day 33, the film recorded a net collection of 0.90 crore, which represents a noteworthy 28.6 percent growth compared to the 0.70 crore earned on the previous day. For a production to post such a significant mid-week uptick this late in its run suggests a sustained demand that defies the usual downward trend seen after the first month of release. Operating across 2,439 shows nationwide, the film has pushed its total India net collection to 169.95 crore. In terms of domestic gross, the film has officially crossed the major milestone of 200 crore, currently standing at 201.47 crore. This performance highlights a highly efficient run, where the film continues to maximize its footprint even as show counts naturally consolidate. A closer look at the regional data reveals that the National Capital Region continues to lead the charge. With 297 shows, the region saw an overall occupancy of 23.3 percent, showing a clear build-up from 11 percent in the morning to 27 percent by the night. Mumbai followed a similar pattern of late-day strength, securing 21 percent occupancy over 90 shows. Ahmedabad also remained stable, contributing 14 percent occupancy across 165 shows, with its night screenings peaking at 20 percent. In the high-end multiplex circuits, specifically the national chains, the film maintained a steady pace. The film moved approximately 5,770 tickets across 817 shows, resulting in a gross of 7.50 lakh. While the occupancy in these specific chains hovered around 4 percent, the volume of shows ensures that the cumulative daily total remains impactful. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The digital engagement metrics further validate this growth. Ticket sales on BookMyShow saw a jump from 15.09 thousand on the fifth Monday to 21.7 thousand on Tuesday. Total digital bookings on the platform have now reached an impressive 31.73 lakh. This level of consistent ticket movement via online platforms is a strong indicator of the film's continued relevance among urban audiences. The global performance remains a key part of the success story. With an additional 0.05 crore coming in from international markets on Day 33, the total overseas gross has climbed to 53.60 crore. When combined with the domestic gross, Bhooth Bangla now stands at a worldwide total of 255.07 crore. Analytically, the 28 percent jump on a fifth-week Tuesday is the highlight here. It indicates that the film is not just lingering in theaters but is actively pulling in audiences who may have missed it during the initial rush.As it approaches the 170 crore net mark in India, the film has firmly established itself as a major success in the horror-comedy space, securing its place as one of the most profitable and well-received entries in the genre recently.

Raja Shivaji Day 18 Box Office: Earns Rs. 1.15 Cr; Now Just 5 Cr Away From Surpassing Sairat's All-Time Worldwide Record

BY SACNILK

Raja Shivaji has maintained a steady presence at the box office as it enters its third week of release. While the initial momentum has naturally slowed down, the film is now approaching a significant historical milestone in Marathi cinema. On its 18th day, which was the third Monday, the movie collected a net of 1.15 crore across India. This represents a 66.7 percent drop from the previous day's collection of 3.45 crore, a trend that is expected for a weekday following a weekend. The language-wise breakdown for Day 18 shows that the Marathi version remains the primary driver of revenue, contributing 1.00 crore from 1,401 shows with an overall occupancy of 17 percent. The Hindi version added 0.15 crore from 764 shows, operating at an 8 percent occupancy level. These numbers bring the total India net collection to 85.70 crore, with the Marathi version accounting for 62.00 crore and the Hindi version contributing 23.70 crore so far. The total India gross has now reached 101.42 crore. Regional occupancy data for the Marathi version highlights strong interest in key cities like Pune and Mumbai. In Pune, the film saw an overall occupancy of 19.8 percent across 270 shows, with night screenings peaking at 23 percent. Mumbai followed with 337 shows and an overall occupancy of 15.3 percent. On the Hindi front, the film saw a 7.8 percent occupancy in both Ahmedabad and Surat, while the National Capital Region recorded 6 percent occupancy across 45 shows. This suggests that while the Marathi version holds strong in its home state, the Hindi version is finding its audience primarily in specific urban pockets. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) The film's performance in national chains on Monday saw a total of approximately 3,540 tickets sold. Breaking this down, PVR contributed 1,310 tickets, INOX followed with 1,240, and Cinepolis added around 990 tickets. On the BookMyShow platform, the movie sold 38.92 thousand tickets on its third Monday, bringing the total ticket sales on the site to over 23.32 lakh. These figures indicate that the movie still has a functional level of demand despite the length of its theatrical run. Looking at the broader financial picture, the film added 0.10 crore from overseas markets on Day 18, taking the total overseas gross to 4.00 crore. This brings the total worldwide gross collection to 105.42 crore. In North America, however, the film has struggled to find significant footing, closing its recent gross at 202 thousand dollars, which is categorized as a flop in that specific territory. Domestically, the film had a strong start with a Week 1 collection of 52.65 crore, followed by 24.30 crore in its second week. The most important story for Raja Shivaji right now is its pursuit of the all-time Marathi box office record. The film is currently just 5 crore away from surpassing Sairat to become the number one Marathi movie of all time. If it continues at this pace, it is projected to reach a worldwide total of 110 crore by the end of its third week. Achieving this would cement its legacy as a historic success and a new benchmark for Marathi cinema on the global stage.

Bhooth Bangla Day 32 Box Office:Crosses 200 Cr India Gross; Now Rs. 11.55 Cr Away From Surpassing Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Worldwide

Bhooth Bangla has successfully completed its first month at the box office, and as it enters its fifth week, the film is showing the kind of steady hold often seen with successful horror-comedies. On its 32nd day, which was the fifth Monday, the movie earned a net collection of 0.70 crore. This marks a 63.2 percent drop compared to the previous day's 1.90 crore, a typical trend for a weekday following a strong weekend performance. With this, the total India net collection has reached 169.05 crore, while the domestic gross has crossed the 200 crore milestone, currently standing at 200.45 crore. The film has also found a decent audience in the international markets, contributing 53.50 crore in overseas gross. This brings the total worldwide gross collection to 253.95 crore, cementing its position as a solid performer in this genre. What makes this 32nd-day performance interesting is how it stacks up against the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise. According to historical data, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 collected 0.76 crore on its 32nd day, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 collected exactly 0.70 crore. By matching the numbers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 on this specific day, Bhooth Bangla has proven that it is operating in the same league as some of the biggest horror-comedy hits in recent years. While it remains slightly behind the second installment of that franchise, the consistency in these numbers suggests a very healthy theatrical run. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) While Bhooth Bangla is currently trailing behind the domestic lifetime numbers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, it has already managed to score a significant victory in the international markets. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 finished its overseas run with 49 crore, a figure that Bhooth Bangla has already eclipsed with its 53.50 crore collection. However, the domestic challenge remains. To surpass the 184.32 crore India net lifetime record of the Kartik Aaryan starrer, Bhooth Bangla still needs to collect an additional 15.27 crore. The film currently requires about 11.55 crore more to overtake the 265.50 crore worldwide total of the second Bhool Bhulaiyaa installment. The ticket sales data from BookMyShow also reflects this steady interest. On its fifth Monday, the film sold 15.09 thousand tickets, taking the total ticket count on the platform to over 31.51 lakh. Even with the reduced show count, the film managed to pull in an audience across 2,384 shows nationwide. Looking at the major national chains, PVR contributed approximately 760 tickets, INOX saw about 1,150, and Cinepolis added another 600. This brings the total sales from these three major chains to around 2,510 tickets for the day. Regional occupancy also highlights where the film is still drawing crowds. In Mumbai, the movie recorded an overall occupancy of 12.8 percent across 87 shows, with afternoon screenings peaking at 17 percent. The National Capital Region followed with 290 shows and an overall occupancy of 9.8 percent, where both afternoon and evening shows saw a 12 percent turnout. In Ahmedabad, the film maintained a 7.5 percent overall occupancy across 160 shows, with evening screenings being the most preferred at 12 percent. Bhooth Bangla is currently in a stable position as a box office success. The fact that its late-run figures are on par with established franchises indicates a steady interest in this genre. For the rest of its fifth week, the main goal will be to see how close the India net collection can get to the 175 crore mark before the theatrical run concludes.
