Actress Disha Patani is looking forward to reuniting with filmmaker Mohit Suri on the set of their upcoming film, Ek Villain 2. The actress had earlier collaborated with Mohit on their 2020 film 'Malang' which also starred Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Kunal Khemu. ## "Starting the new year on the set is the best way to begin the year for me. Over the last 10 months, hundreds of single screen/ Independent cinemas have pulled down their shutters permanently & this has resulted in the loss of livelihood for lakhs of people who were employed by them directly & indirectly".## "Films are to theatres what fuel is to a car. Without a constant supply of content that is relevant to its audience, running a cinema hall is close to impossible. For over a decade now, your films have played an important role in bringing audiences to single-screen cinemas, which are otherwise starved for content that caters to the sensibilities of people who patronize them", they added.## "Your film Radhe - Your Most Wanted Bhai is among the few that are capable of resurrecting the fortunes of independent / single-screen cinemas across the country. A film like that, if released widely can give not just financial support & relief, but also a ray of hope to owners & employees of theatres in the context of their future. The International Film festival of Kerala (IFFK) Will Be Held In February

The silver jubilee of The International Film festival of Kerala (IFFK) will be held from February 10 onwards in four places including Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Palakkad, and Thalassery. The people who will participate in the festival will require Covid negative certificates and the delegate fee is reduced to Rs 750.## The festival will be inaugurated at Thiruvananthapuram on February 10 and will be conducted here from February 10 to 14 before moving to Ernakulam from February 17 to 21, From February 23 to 27 at Thalassery, and from March 1 to 5 at Palakkad.## This was announced by the state minister for culture AK Balan yesterday (Jan 1). He said that the film festival which was generally held in December each year has been postponed to February 10 owing to the Covid pandemic. Nearly 14,000 delegates used to attend the festival each year but owing to Covid-19, this won't be possible and hence, the festival will be conducted at four venues.## Speaking to media persons Balan said, "All the cultural festivals as part of the film festival are cancelled owing to the Covid pandemic. Meet the Director, Press meet, Master class and discussion with foreign guests will be conducted online".## He further said that IFFK will have competition section films, Malayalam cinema today, Indian cinema now, Kaleidoscope, Retrospective, and Homage sections. Four films will be screened in a theatre a day and five theaters will screen movies in each district. ## The Kerala State Chalachithra Academy who is the host of the festival will have antigen testing facilities at the venues in association with the state health ministry. Vikrant Massey will step into Sundeep Kishan's shoes in the Hindi remake. Maanagaram, which released in 2017, was an edge-of-the-seat thriller directed by young filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. Mumbaikar will be produced by Shibu Thameens that happens to be his Hindi debut production. ## Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathy is waiting for the release of his next film Master which stars Thalapathy Vijay in the title role. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Master is the first big Tamil movie releasing in theaters post lockdown. Bollywood star, Ranbir Kapoor has started 2021 with a bang and announced his next movie with the Kabir Singh director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The talented actor, who was last seen in a biographical-drama movie, Sanju, has been working on Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra for quite some time now. He also has Shamshera, of which, that shoot has been completed.## The actor will also be starring in Luv Ranjan's next romantic comedy. He will start the year by announcing his film followed by the release of the much-awaited film Brahmastra which is expected to hit the theatres in the summer of 2021.## On the other hand, Anil Kapoor will star next in 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' alongside Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, and Neetu Kapoor. Parineeti Chopra also has three movies already in the pipeline. She will be starring opposite Arjun Kapoor in 'Sandeep Aur Pinky' Faraar while her 'The Girl on the Train' is in pre-production. Parineeti is also doing Badminton star, Saina Nehwal's biopic of which the filming is underway. ## Bobby Deol who received a lot of praise for his recently released debut web series, Aashram will next be seen in the sequel to his Apne with his father Dharmendra and brother Sunny Deol.
