Actor Sonu Sood has been one of the hottest topics in media in the last few months for good reasons, of course. While the nation was put on hold, thanks to the covid-19 pandemic, Sonu Sood emerged as a hero who went all-out to help the people. Each and every person appreciated the actor for his selfless deeds during the tough times of lockdown.
However, it was also the time when many people speculated about his political entry, and time and again there are rumours doing rounds that he may join politics soon. But now, the actor has put a full stop to rumours and said that he has plans to join politics, at least for the next 5 or 10 years.
"As an actor, I still have a long way to go. The dreams with which I came, those are yet incomplete. I feel it's necessary to fulfill that first. There is no particular time to enter into politics, there is no fixed period for it. Can join after 5 years or 10 years. I got offers 10 years back, I still get offers. But, I am not interested", the actor said while talking to a daily.
"I think I should do things which I am an expert at and can do justice. If I am given a responsible position and I am unable to go to villages and towns to help people then what is the point. So, when I can become a part of them and live with them and serve them, then I will think about it. For now, as an actor there is a lot that needs to be done, a lot has to be achieved, there is time for the rest", he added.
Sonu Sood recently launched his autobiography, "I Am No Messiah". Co-authored by Meena Iyer, the book accounts the experience of Sonu Sood during the COVID-19 pandemic. It features the stories Sonu Sood heard and his interactions with the migrants and others. The book will reveal the emotional and often challenging journeys Sonu undertook along with the people he rescued.
On the work front, Sonu Sood is playing the antagonist opposite Chiranjeevi in the Telugu film 'Acharya'. Starring Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady, the social actioner is directed by Koratala Siva and the shooting is underway at a rapid pace in Hyderabad.
