Shahid Kapoor's Digital Debut Series With Raj & DK To Begin Next Week In Goa!

Shahid Kapoor is all set to kickstart his digital debut series with the director duo Raj & DK. It was revealed last year that Kabir Singh actor will be leading Amazon Prime Video's next action thriller web series which is said to be a two-part series. According to reports, Shahid will be in the title role in & as 'Sunny', and the shooting is said to be begun next week in Goa. ## Shahid took to his Instagram stories and shared a picture with Raj & DK. "It's taking offfff...... These bad boys got a hard vibe and a dark plan..", he wrote on the picture. ## "Raj & DK's show with Shahid has been titled Sunny. It's an explosive action-thriller with their usual quirks infused in it. Planned as a two-season project, this series will see Shahid in the titular role, performing some acutely designed daredevil action sequences. He is excited to dive into the quirk world of Raj & DK and will fly off to Goa today to join them", said a source quoted in Peepingmoon.com. ## South film industry superstar Vijay Sethupathi has reportedly been signed to play the villain which also happens to be his digital debut. Earlier, it was said that Malavika Mohanan will play the leading lady, however, the South Indian actress Raashi Khanna is now reportedly cast as the female lead. Actor-director Amole Gupte will also play a pivotal role and will join the sets on 2nd February. The show has been planned to be wrapped by the end of April 2021. ## This web series marks the third collaboration between Raj & DK and Amazon Prime Video after their two seasons of Manoj Bajpayee-fronted The Family Man with the second season set to premiere on Fabruary 12. Even before the official announcement, Shah Rukh Khan's comeback film, tentatively titled 'Pathan', is creating a lot of buzz. However, one can be assured as the movie is happening and is already on floors. Pathan is not the only film, Shah Rukh Khan will headline, according to reports, he has multiple projects in his kitty, though, he is not in any kind of rush to sign all of them.## Apart from Pathan, SRK's film with the director Rajkumar Hirani is keenly awaited. The movie was reportedly scheduled to go on floors around Diwali last year, however, due to the pandemic situation, and Pathan, the film which is said to be a social drama, couldn't start that time. Now, according to reports, Khan has given his dates post-Pathan, and it is set to begin around mid-this year. ## "It's known to all that SRK is doing Rajkumar Hirani's film but there was no clarity when the film will get off the ground as the filmmaker was taking so much time in scripting. However, things are finally locked now and the film is all geared up to hit the floors in June 2021. Hirani has already got his team ready and will soon begin the recce and other pre-production work officially", a source quoted in Peepingmoon.com said. ## "SRK will complete Hirani's film by October and only after that he is expected to dive into any new project. SRK has given his nod to Atlee's commercial potboiler too but he hasn't signed that film yet. Moreover, his film with Raj & DK that was rumored last year is not happening now", the source further added. ## Meanwhile, the report also stated that Taapsee Pannu who featured in SRK's home production Badla (2019) has been roped in to play the female lead. She is more or less finalized and will sign on the dotted lines once the shooting timelines are locked. ## On the larger note, Shah Rukh Khan is marking his comeback after 2 years with Pathan. His last outing, Zero was a box office disaster that led SRK to take some time off before doing his next film. SRK will be headlining Pathan alongside John Abraham and Deepika Padukone. He ended up taking a five-wicket haul in the last match at Gabba, Brisbane. His contribution helped India become the first team in 32 years to beat Australia in a Test in Brisbane.## Shubman Gill, on the other hand, impressed everyone with his eye-catching batting against the Aussie's bowlers. He has helped many people reach their home during the lockdown, provided many students with internet facilities so that they can pursue online education. Now, he has taken another major step to support blood cancer and blood disorder patients.## India ranks third highest in reported cases of hematological cancers in the world and it remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related death among children as well. There was a massive demand for the sequel of Disney+Hotstar's action espionage thriller web series, Special Ops, headlined by Kay Kay Menon. The series gained a homogenous response from the viewers and now, filmmaker Neeraj Pandey and Disney+ Hotstar on Friday announced a multi-series franchise, titled "Special Ops Universe". ## The first show in the franchise will be "Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story", which will see Menon reprising his role of Himmat Singh from the 2020 series. The new series will tell Singh's backstory and form a pivotal part of the universe in three episodes which will start production later this year. ## "We are starting off with a unique 'Special Ops 1.5' which is neither a prequel nor a sequel. The series will start with Himmat Singh being assigned to another case, but the deflection point is the same parliament attack that started the series of events. Amid much speculation, the Daniel Craig-starrer James Bond adventure, No Time To Die, has been delayed yet again. An update on the official Twitter handle of the film on Friday stated that Craig's final outing as Agent 007 has now been pushed to October 8 for a theatrical release.## The release has been pushed amid the ongoing pandemic, with theatres still trying to recover business post lockdown. The film, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, was originally scheduled for release in April 2020 but was pushed to November last year owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
