Telugu superstar, Pawan Kalyan has donated for the construction work of Ayodhya's Ram Mandir. The actor, who is in Tirupati, has announced a sum of Rs 30 lakh as donations to Ram Mandir Trust. Pawan said people across the nation are voluntarily offering donations towards building Ram Mandir.
Kalyan's colleagues and leaders of the Janasena Party – who are from various religions including Christians, Muslims- have also made an additional contribution. Pawan handed over both these cheques for the amount to RSS AP unit head Bharat, in the presence of former minister Kamineni Srinivas.
During the announcement of his donation, the actor-politician expressed his love, bhakti for Lord Shri Ram. He said Rama is a symbol of Dharma and India as a nation is held strong for these many centuries despite fighting against several attacks is due to the inspiration Lord Rama has set.
Recently, Bollywood superstar, Akshay Kumar, and actress Pranitha Subhash had also contributed to the same cause. They also urged people to contribute on whatever scale they can. "It is a matter of great pleasure that the construction of our grand temple of Shri Ram has begun in Ayodhya. Now it is our turn to contribute. I have started, hope you will join together. Jai Siyaram", Akshay wrote on Twitter along with a video message.

Notably, Ayodhya's Ram Mandir's groundbreaking ceremony was performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in August 2020. Earlier, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Shetra Trust had announced that the Ram temple in Ayodhya will be constructed using only domestic funds collected from the general public through a mass contact program.
