Buzz: Vijay Sethupathi To Play Antagonist In Prabhas Starrer Salaar?

Tollywood superstar, Prabhas is all set to commence the shooting of his high voltage action entertainer, Salaar from February and it will be completed in a record time. The Prashanth Neel directorial is one of the most-awaited films of the year and the buzz around the film is already making a big noise. ## Prabhas to play the title role as Salaar in the film of which the muhurat ceremony was held on January 15 in Hyderabad. Director Neel is currently busy finalizing the rest of the cast including the lead antagonist. While the search for the key actors is on, what we are hearing is that the Salaar team has approached Vijay Sethupathi to play the lead antagonist opposite Prabhas. As per reports, Sethupathi is one of the choices for Prashanth Neel and he is in the best position to come on board for this film. ## Apart from Sethupathi, Neel is also considering a couple of Bollywood actors to get enough mileage for the mega-budgeted project. Things will be finalized in the next couple of weeks after key casts get approached and give their nod. Going forward, Sethupathi has as many as 10 projects in the pipeline in which he is playing lead roles. ## On the other hand, Prabhas will next be seen in Radha Krishna Kumar directorial, Radhe Shyam in which he will be romancing Pooja Hegde. The multilingual movie is eyeing Baahubali 2 weekend to get a Pan India release. ## Apart from Radhe Shyam, Prabhas has two more projects in the pipeline. He will start shooting for Om Raut's magnum opus, Adipurush which is an adaption of Ramayan. Adipurush will release on 11 August 2022. His current personal best time for the London Marathon (2003) is 6 hours 2 minutes, and his marathon record, for age 90-plus, is 5 hours 40 minutes at the age of 92, at the 2003 Toronto Waterfront Marathon. ## Omung Kumar has previously directed the biopic of boxer Mary Kom who is the only female to become World Amateur Boxing champion for a record six times. Priyanka Chopra portrayed the role of Mary Kom in the movie. A Biopic On Col Narinder 'Bull' Kumar's Life Story Announced

Producers Ramon Chibb and Anku Pande have announced a biopic on late Colonel Narinder 'Bull' Kumar, who carried out reconnaissance trips to Siachen before Operation Meghdoot of the Indian Army in 1984. Titled "Bull", the film will depict the life of the late hero who helped the Indian Army claim critical forward posts of the Siachen Glacier as part of the operation. ## Rights for a biopic have been acquired by producers Ramon Chibb and Anku Pande, although no official announcement has yet been made about the casting of the film, which is written by Balwinder Singh Janjua.## Chibb, an ex-army officer, is incidentally from the same regiment as Colonel Narinder Kumar and has spent hours with the late army man.## "We are elated as a team to be the ones to bring this extremely amazing story of heroism and true leadership to the screens soon. We are grateful to the late Colonel Narinder 'Bull' Kumar's family to trust us and give us the responsibility to retell his deeply inspiring story and give us the opportunity to do our part in forever commemorating his life. We currently have interest from several studios and look forward to kickstarting this project and let the world know the heroic story of an unfathomably brave, adventurous, and true patriot", Chibb said.## Ramon Chibb, incidentally, has also written the story and screenplay of the Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone starrer action film "Fighter", which was recently announced. BCCI Announces India Squad For The First Two Tests Against England

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday (January 19) announced the India squad for the first two home Tests against England. Captain Virat Kohli, all-rounder Hardik Pandya, and fast bowler Ishant Sharma return to the 18-member India squad for the first two Tests which will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. ## Virat Kohli, who had flown back to Mumbai after the first Test against Australia to attend his first child's birth, will be returning to lead the side. Ishant Sharma, who has recovered from his side strain injury and is currently representing Delhi in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, will lead a four-pronged pace attack comprising Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Shardul Thakur.## All-rounder Hardik Pandya, who recently lost his father, has got some good news as he has been named to the squad. After playing the white-ball leg Down Under, the 27-year-old was left out from the Test squad to work on his fitness and bowling long spells. ## Some of the prominent names to have missed out in the first two tests due to injuries are Ravindra Jadeja, Hanuma Vihari, Navdeep Saini, Umesh Yadav, and Mohammad Shami are yet to attain full fitness. The only player dropped on the basis of performance is the 21-year-old opener, Prithvi Shaw. Actor Rana Daggubati will be seen in the new show of discovery plus 'Mission Frontline'. He says working on the documentary, which highlights the life of jawans of the Border Security Force, has given him a perspective on what goes into guarding our frontiers.## "India's Border Security Force - or the country's first line of defense has no holidays, no breaks and no breathers. If it isn't for those brave-hearts always on their toes, our nation stands at risk. I feel grateful to have been able to meet them, live with them and train with them", Rana said.## "As a civilian and countryman, this experience gave me perspective on what goes into guarding our frontiers, 24/7. In the show, he will be seen performing several tasks, including physical training routines and running drills. FIR Against 'Tandav' Makers Lodged In Lucknow For Insulting Hindu Gods

Amazon Prime Video's new web series, Tandav has lent in big trouble after an FIR against the makers of the series and the streaming platform for insulting Hindu gods, lodged in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The case was filed hours after the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting reportedly sought a response from Amazon Prime on a complaint filed by Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam.## The director, producer, and writer of the Saif Ali Khan-Dimple Kapadia starrer "Tandav" and Amazon's head of India Original Content have been accused in the case of promoting religious enmity and defiling a place of worship. The complaint has been filed at Lucknow's Hazratganj police station by a sub-inspector who is also posted there.## Soon after the case was registered, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's media adviser Shalabh Mani Tripathi shared a copy of it on Twitter on Monday, January 18. ## "There is no tolerance for playing with people's sentiments in Yogi Adityanath's Uttar Pradesh. A serious case has been registered against the entire team of Tandav, which is spreading hate in the guise of cheap web series. In the web series, the character of the person occupying the high post of India's Prime Minister has been shown in a very indecent manner... The series depicts lower and higher castes and scenes that insult women, and the intent... seems to be to hurt the religious feelings of one community and to spread conflict", the complaint reads.## Tandav is a political thriller series that is created and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. Apart from Saif Ali Khan, and Dimple Kapadia, the series also stars Sunil Grover, Kumud Misra, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Sarah Jane Dias, Gauahar Khan, Dino Morea, and others in key roles.
