Shahid Kapoor Confirms His Thriller Film With Sultan Director Ali Abbas Zafar

Mumbai, November 12 - Actor Shahid Kapoor has started shooting for director Ali Abbas Zafar's next, a crime thriller film, in Abu Dhabi. It was first reported in August this year that Kabir Singh star would be teaming up with Sultan director, though at that time, the shooting timeline wasn't confirmed. ## The yet-untitled film is said to be the Hindi remake of a French film, Nuit Blanche, in which, Shahid will reportedly be playing the role of a cop who is chasing drug lords across the city. The film is being produced by Ali Abbas Zafar himself under his banner Offside Entertainment. ## Shahid took to Twitter and shared the picture with Ali as both having a laugh. "Blood... Crime ... The script has been adapted to cater the Indian audiences. ## Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor recently completed the shoot of his debut web series for Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Raj&DK, the show also stars Raashii Khanna and Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles. Shahid, on the other hand, is looking forward to the release of Jersey which is scheduled to come out on December 31. Mumbai, November 12 - Akshay Kumar-led "Sooryavanshi" has turned the table for Bollywood and enjoyed a fantabulous opening week at the box office. The early box office trends for Thursday promise that this Rohit Shetty-directed cop-drama flick will finish the first week (Fri-Thu) with over ₹ 120 crores net, which is more than double of "Bell Bottom's" worldwide gross of ₹ 54 crores. ## The first film in (possible) "Sooryavanshi" franchise and 4th in Shetty's cop universe, "Sooryavanshi" remained solid throughout the weekdays after finishing the first weekend on ₹ 77.08 crores net (best ever 3-day start for Akshay Kumar film). On Thursday, the film netted ₹ 8.30 crores, for a total domestic net collection of ₹ 120.66 crores.## "Sooryavanshi" is the first Bollywood ₹ 100 crore net collection film since Ajay Devgn-fronted "Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior". The pandemic-hit Hindi film industry got a new lease of life with "Sooryavanshi", which surely has set the bar high for other biggies (Antim, SMJ2) to follow and maintain the good box office run. ## Overseas, "Sooryavanshi" has grossed approx ₹ 36 crores in the first week, helping the film's total worldwide gross to finish over ₹ 177 crores over the first week. It will get one more week for the free box office run before YRF's "Bunty Aur Babli 2" arrives next Friday (November 19). Mumbai, November 11 - Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has set the bar a notch higher with each of the films in his cop universe, which had begun with Ajay Devgn-fronted "Singham" in 2011. Akshay Kumar-starrer "Sooryavanshi", which was released on November 5, is the latest film in Shetty's cop world and with this, he has maintained his hit status. ## The maverick director will once again be back to give the third installment of the Singham franchise, and with this, he aims to take his cop franchise to the next level. The last Singham film, "Singham Returns", was released in 2014, and since then, there were rumors of the third part but it wasn't made official. ## While Shetty hasn't announced "Singham 3" officially yet, it was revealed that after the release of Sooryavanshi, the filmmaker has locked the plans for the third Singham installment. The movie will kick off where Sooryavanshi ended, and according to reports, Ajay Devgn will be up against terrorists in the film and it will reportedly be set against the backdrop of the removal of Article 370 in Jammu & Kashmir. ## Reports have also stated that the draft is still in progress and the makers are all set to take the project on floors next year in September after Ajay Devgn completes his ongoing projects. The buzz around the development is that it will be shot in the real locations of Kashmir apart from Delhi, and Goa in a quick span. ## The makers have reportedly set the Independence Day 2023 big screen release date of the film. The online video sharing and social media platform, YouTube has announced that it will soon make the dislike count private. A decision, which has been taken to protect video creators from harassment. ## However, viewers will be able to like or dislike a particular video, but it will only the creator of that video be able to see the number of dislikes. Youtube had conducted a test run earlier this year, following which it learnt a reduction in dislike attacking behaviour. ## "Based on what we learned, we're making the dislike counts private across YouTube, but the dislike button is not going away. This change will start gradually rolling out today", YouTube said.## Youtube company, however, is very well aware that this decision could also make certain users unhappy as the dislike count helped them see whether or not a video can be watched. The company has said that protecting creators from harassment is its utmost priority and it will keep making changes in future to make creators feel safe on the platform. ## "We know that you might not agree with this decision, but we believe that this is the right thing to do for the platform. We want to create an inclusive and respectful environment where creators have the opportunity to succeed and feel safe to express themselves. Mumbai, November 11 - Netflix's recently released South Korean show, "Squid Game" has taken the worldwide digital audiences by storm. The show has not only become the most viewed show on Netflix but also has been a monster hit on Youtube. ## According to the content analytics firm Vobile, "Squid Game" has dethroned HBO Max's "Game of Thrones" on Youtube, attracting a staggering 17 billion views across a spectrum of long- and short-form videos. "Game of Thrones", which had a decade to amass its fan army, has attracted 16.9 billion from 420,000 uploaded videos on Youtube. ## The viewership comes from numerous types of video content, including official trailers and clips from the series, fan recreations of iconic moments, real-world challenges inspired by the plot, and even narration of user-generated video games based on the property (found on services like Roblox). ## Vobile estimates that the 17 billion views for "Squid Game" have come from 129,000 uploaded videos, including traditional long-form YouTube clips and their recently-launched TikTok competitor YouTube Shorts. Those videos also count for 533 million engagements (likes, dislikes, and comments).## Earlier, Netflix had announced that the Dystopian South Korean drama series became the streamer's biggest series launch ever with attracting 111 million views worldwide and had topped Netflix charts in more than 80 countries in less than four weeks of its debut.## Stay tuned...

And now, the makers have officially announced the film on Thursday (Nov. 11). ## The yet-untitled film is being directed by ad filmmaker, Shirsha Guha Thakurta and is produced by Applause Entertainment and Ellipsis Entertainment. The film is a progressive, uninhibited take on modern relationships. The British star, who played Superman in three films, said that he won't like to play a character which has already been played and that he would like to play Captain Britain. ## "I'm never going to say a Marvel character that is already being played by someone else because everyone's doing such an amazing job. However, I have the internet and I have seen the various rumors about Captain Britain and that would be loads of fun to do a cool, modernized version of that — like the way they modernized Captain America. Los Angeles, November 10 - With the Fast & Furious film franchise is nearing its end, star and producer Vin Diesel has requested former Fast & Furious co-star Dwayne Johnson to come back for the two-part finale F10 that is in the works. ## In the recent Instagram post, Diesel openly sent a message to Johnson, hoping to put an end to his feud with Johnson, with whom he fell out while collaborating on The Fate of the Furious. In the post, Vin requested him to return to play Luke Hobbs and reunite with Dominic Toretto (played by Diesel in the Fast franchise).## "My little brother Dwayne… the time has come", Diesel wrote in the Instagram caption. "The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don't send well wishes… but the time has come. Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo [Paul Walker]".## "I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10! Mumbai, November 10 - Rohit Shetty-directed "Sooryavanshi" has done what other Bollywood films couldn't do in the last one and 1 half year. The Akshay Kumar-starrer cop drama becomes the first Hindi film during the covid-19 pandemic to cross ₹ 100 crores net at the domestic box office. ## The 4th installment in Shetty's cop universe, "Sooryavanshi" remained super solid on weekdays after taking the biggest 3-day opening weekend start for Akshay with ₹ 77.08 crores (Fri-Sun). It netted ₹ 14.51 crores on Monday (excellent by all means) and dropped 22.67% on Tuesday for ₹ 11.22 crores (another superb hold). The five-day total stands at ₹ 102.81 crores with a gross total of ₹ 122.50 crores. ## It has become the 93rd Hindi film to enter the 100 crore club. It also becomes the 15th 100 crore film for Akshay Kumar, jointly most with Salman Khan. For Rohit Shetty, it is hit 9th ₹ 100 crores netted film. Interestingly, all his last nine movies (including Sooryavanshi) have crossed ₹ 100 crore net at the box office while for Katrina Kaif, who plays the female lead, it is her 8th 100 crores netted film. ## Overseas, "Sooryavanshi" has earned approx ₹ 30 crores in the first five days, and takes its total worldwide collection to over ₹ 150 crores (₹ 152.50 crores). The opening week collection of "Sooryavanshi" is expected to finish in/over ₹ 120 crores, which will be an excellent box office response for the film. The Entire Shoot Of Prabhas-Fronted 'Adipurush' Is Completed

Mumbai, November 10 - The entire shoot of possibly the most-awaited and the biggest film of the Indian cinema, "Adipurush", led by Prabhas, has been completed on November 9. The magnum opus feature film was shot in over 100 days, after taking off in February this year. ## The shoot went through a lot of hurdles due to the covid-19 pandemic, but the makers have done very well to complete it 10 months before the release is planned. Kriti Sanon was the first to complete her portion, followed by Saif Ali Khan. Prabhas had wrapped his part on November 4. ## Directed by Tanhaji fame, Om Raut, "Adipurush" is an adaption of the Hindu epic Ramayana. Prabhas plays Lord Ram in the film while Kriti Sanon essays the role of Sita/Janaki. Saif Ali Khan, who played the antagonist Udaybhan Singh Rathore in Raut's Tanhaji, portrays Lankesh/Raavan in Adiupursh while Sunny Singh plays Laxman and Vatsal Sheth plays Indrajeet in the mega-budgeted film. ## "Adipurush" will be mounted on a heavy VFX, and as reported earlier, it will take nearly 10 months in post-production work. The good thing in favor of post-production is that the release date of Adipurush, which is set for 11 August 2022, is nearly 10 months from now, so it should be completely ready by then. ## It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair under the banners of T-series and Retrophiles. Adipurush is being made in 3D and has been shot in Hindi and Telugu simultaneously.
