World's Richest Person, Elon Musk Buys Twitter For $44 Billion

Mumbai, April 26 - The Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion on Monday. Once the deal is done, the richest person in the world will own arguably the most influential social platform in the world. The deal will close this year itself, pending approval from shareholders and regulatory agencies.## Elon Musk said at a conference that he made the offer to buy Twitter because it had "become kind of the de facto town square, so it is just really important that people have the reality and the perception that they are able to speak freely within the bounds of the law". ## "This is not a way to make money. My strong intuitive sense is that having a public platform that is maximally trusted and broadly inclusive is extremely important to the future of civilization. I don’t care about the economics at all", he added. ## After owning Twitter, Musk said in a statement on Monday, shared on Twitter, "Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated. I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential — I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it". ## Meanwhile, Twitter co-founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey, has supported Elon Musk's Twitter takeover and said that he is the right man to take the platform to new highs. "In principle, I don't believe anyone should own or run Twitter. It wants to be a public good at a protocol level, not a company. Solving for the problem of it being a company, however, Elon is the singular solution I trust. Sony Pictures Officially Greenlit 'Venom 3' & Also Reveals The Title Of Third 'Spider-Verse' Movie

Los Angeles, April 26 - Sony Pictures has officially greenlit the third "Venom" movie at CinemaCon 2022. The first two Venom movies have collectively grossed $1.4 billion at the global box office to date. ## The first "Venom" movie was released in 2018 and grossed more than $850 million at the global box office along with an 81% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes. The last movie, "Venom: Let There Be Carnage", was released in October 2021 and went on to score $502 million worldwide. ## Sony Pictures, however, hasn't revealed much about "Venom 3", just the pic's logo in a closing sizzle reel, and no talent attachments were revealed. Venom might have a crossover with Spider-Man in the third movie as teased in "Venom 2". ## Meanwhile, Sony has revealed that the third "Spider-Verse" movie has been titled "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" and it is dated March 29, 2024. The movie is going all guns blazing in all circuits and bringing cheers to movie lovers and cinema owners. ## The Yash-fronted movie had scored 268.63 crores in the first week, which is the highest ever opening week total in Hindi. The second weekend total of 52.49 crores takes the film past 300 crores net in just 11 days, making it the second-fastest ever to reach the milestone. Radhika Madan joined Akshay as the female lead and she will be reprising the role played by Aparna Balamurali in the original movie. ## The Hindi remake, not titled yet, is being directed by Sudha Kongara who has also helmed the original Tamil movie. Hyderabad, April 25 - Telugu movie, Acharya is all set to hit screens on April 28. The movie stars megastar Chiranjeevi in the title role along with Ram Charan, Pooja Hegde, and Sonu Sood in key roles. Directed by Koratala Siva, the action drama movie was also supposed to feature actress Kajal Aggarwal in a key role, but her role has now been chopped off. ## Earlier, there were reports that Kajal's role was chopped off because she opted out of the movie due to her pregnancy. Director Korala Siva, however, has now revealed that Kajal's role was trimmed because it was not fitting with the premise of the movie because it was not concluded well. ## "Initially, I designed a very funny character for Kajal Aggarwal in Acharya and we also shot her portions for 3-4 days. But when I watched the rushes, her role was not really fitting with the flow of the movie, and also I was unable to conclude her role properly in the story, so I decided to trim her character and informed the same to her", the director said during a media interaction for Acharya promotions. ## Koratala Siva further said that the actress understood her concern and took the decision in a positive way. He also said that Kajal will be seen in the Lahe Lahe song with megastar Chiranjeevi. Ram Charan Gives Update On Acharya Hindi Release

Hyderabad, April 24 - Telugu superstars Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan will be headlining the upcoming Telugu action drama film, "Acharya", which is scheduled to release on 28 April. Directed by Koratal Siva, the pre-release event of the film was held in Hyderabad on April 23. ## "Acharya" was also supposed to release in the dubbed Hindi version simultaneously with Telugu, however, the Hindi version will now be released at a later stage. During the press meet for the "Acharya" promotion, Ram Charan provided an update about the Hindi release. ## Ram Charan said that they originally planned "Acharya" to release only in Telugu due to its subject. However, considering the fact that some of the Telugu movies have done wonders in Hindi belts, Charan said they will also release the Hindi version also nearly after 1 month. The thriller movie, based on real incidents, is one of the most anticipated Hindi movies that also features legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. ## The makers of "Runway 34", meanwhile, have already completed the censorship formalities nearly 3 weeks before the release. According to the reports, the movie has been certified with a 'U/A' certificate by CBFC with zero cuts. Stranger Things season 4 is being released in two parts, with Part 1 coming on May 27 and Part 2 on July 1. ## Now, it has been revealed that each episode of Season 4 of this science fiction horror drama series has cost Netflix approx. $30 million. The 9-episode series overall cost the streamer $270 million, which makes it the costliest ever for Netflix. This is a significant increase in Stranger Things' previously reported episode budgets, which were said to be less than $10M per episode in season 3. ## While Netflix has not confirmed this reported price tag for the series, costs could've increased due to its long production schedule and potential salary increases for its stars. If Stranger Things season 4's reported budget is correct, it will make these the most expensive episodes of television ever. ## "Stranger Things 4's" $30 million per episode cost won't make it the most expensive show ever though. The website did a survey on over 6000 people and found that the sequel to 2016's movie is number 1. ## Fandango's study also revealed the main factors that moviegoers consider when choosing what they want to watch next on the big screen. In the top 10 most anticipated movies of summer 2022, almost all films in Fandangos' ranking belong to a well-established franchise. ## While Marvel's "Doctor Strange 2" takes the top position, the studio's "Thor: Love And Thunder" was voted as the second most anticipated title. The Prashanth Neel-directed movie has earned approx. 280 crores net in the first 9 days, which takes it past, Kabir Singh to enter the top 10 list. ## The Yash-fronted movie has also become only the second dubbed Hindi version of all time in the top 10 after SS Rajamouli's, Baahubali 2 The Conclusion, which is also the biggest earning movie ever in Hindi with 510.99 crores net. KGF Chapter 2 is eyeing to become the second-biggest movie in Hindi by outscoring Aamir Khan's Dangal (387.38cr). ## The Hindi box office run of KGF 2 has been unprecedented so far.
