While the Hollywood industry is awaiting the inevitable target of the $1 billion mark, the Paramount movie has crossed yet another milestone domestically (North America).## The sequel to 1986's film has flown past the $500 million mark at the domestic box office, becoming only the second movie after "Spider-Man: No Way Home" to do so during the covid-19 pandemic. It is also the biggest Hollywood movie domestically in 2022, having overtaken Marvel/Disney's "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness". ## "Top Gun 2" has projected to score $30 million in its 5th week, which will include it in the all-time top 3 Hollywood films in the fifth week at the domestic box office. The Hollywood trade experts are predicting its lifetime domestic run to finish over $600 million while worldwide with $1.10 billion. Hyderabad, June 25 - Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran has confirmed that he is doing Prabhas-fronted "Salaar". The actor hasn't started shooting for his portion yet and said that he would be meeting with director Prashanth Neel to find dates for the movie. ## Prithviraj also said that he was offered "Salaar" two years ago and he immediately said yes as he found the story very interesting. However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, a lot of things changed which tempted Prithviraj to back out from the project because he too had his other commitments. ## Prabhas, who is playing the title role of Salaar, convinced Prithviraj to do the role which he agreed upon. He will be playing a very important role for which the details are yet to be known. The movie is produced by Hombale Films which has bankrolled mega-blockbuster KGF films. ## "Salaar" stars Shruti Haasan as the female lead while it also stars Jagapathi Babu, Madhu Guruswamy, and Easwari Rao in key roles. It has now been reported that the "Sooryavanshi" actor has signed one more film with director Mudassar Aziz titled "Khel Khel Mein". ## According to Pinkvilla, director Mudassar has been discussing "Khel Khel Mein" with Khiladi Kumar for a while now and the actor has finally greenlit the movie. It falls in the place of an out-and-out comic entertainer. The movie will reportedly be produced by Bhushan Kumar and Ashwin Varde, however, the timelines for the shoot are not known yet. ## Akshay Kumar is currently shooting for the Hindi remake of the Tamil movie "Soorarai Pottru". It is being directed by Sudha Kongara who helmed the original movie. The first look poster features a deadly gun-toting SRK. ## "Pathaan" is being directed by "War" fame Siddharth Anand and he chooses this special day to present SRK as Pathaan to his millions of fans globally. Mumbai, June 25 - Universal Pictures' Jurassic World Dominion has crossed the $100 million mark at the China box office, becoming only the 3rd Hollywood movie during the entire covid-19 pandemic to achieve the feat. ## While most Hollywood movies have failed to get permission to release in China, the final film in the Jurassic World trilogy is ruling the country's box office and has grossed over $105 million through Friday (15 days). Leading local ticketing app Maoyan currently projects Dominion to finish its China run with $124 million, which will be the biggest for a Hollywood title since the start of the pandemic. ## Directed by Colin Trevorrow, "Jurassic World Dominion" was slammed by the critics, calling it the worst Jurassic World movie out of 6 films in the franchise. However, the movie has been received very well by the audience, giving a solid A- CinemaScore.## Set four years after the events of Fallen Kingdom, "Jurassic World 3" has so far grossed over $276 million at the domestic (North America) box office and approx. $374 million internationally for a total worldwide cume of $650 million. Los Angeles, June 25 - Marvel Studios will be returning to San Diego Comic-Con after 3 years. Marvel president Kevin Feige confirmed the development during a virtual press conference on Friday for the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.## San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) is scheduled to take place in July this year and the announcement of Marvel's presence has come out as a major boost for the event. SDCC canceled its in-person conventions in July 2020 and July 2021 due to the COVID pandemic.## Although a pared-down Comic-Con did take place at the San Diego Convention Center over Thanksgiving weekend in 2021, Marvel did not hold any panels during the event nor did it participate in the virtual Comic-Con@Home events that replaced the July 2020 and 2021 conventions. ## Marvel panel has always been the center attraction at SDCC as people have been keen to know what Marvel has in its store for the future.
