Shamshera Teaser Talk: Yash Raj Films Saved The Best For The Last?

Mumbai, June 22 - Yash Raj Films has been one of the biggest production houses in India, yet it has been very tough last few months for the studio. YRF has released three films since October last year but none of them could create magic at the box office as all three failed to attract the audience. ## The studio is now gearing up for its 4th release in the form of "Shamshera". It is the last film in YRF's current slot, and guess what, it promises to be the best of them. The teaser of this Ranbir Kapoor-fronted period action drama film was released on June 22, and surprisingly, it makes a solid punch. ## One of the biggest reasons for the failure of YRF's previous three films was that promos of them weren't not promising which couldn't create a positive first impression on the audiences. However, this time it looks like YRF has learned a lesson and released an exceptional teaser of "Shamshera", which has become the talk of the town. ## Everything about the "Shamshera" movie, from first look poster to teaser, has been up to the mark so far. The first look poster of the movie was revealed a couple of days ago and it was striking. And now, the teaser has further raised the expectations.## The biggest talking point of the teaser is the scale with which the movie has been made. The cinematography by Anay Goswamy looks spectacular. While this 1-minute 21 seconds teaser didn't reveal much it has surely got the attantion of the audience, and director Karan Malhotra deserves praise for this. ## The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor as Shamshera along with Sanjay Dutt as Inspector Shudh Singh, Vaani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Saurabh Shukla, Ronit Roy, and Tridha Choudhury in key roles. One such clash will take place during the Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan week in the form of Akshay Kumar's "Raksha Bandhan" and Aamir Khan's "Laal Singh Chaddha". ## Akshay Kumar, who released the trailer of his movie on June 21, does not see his movie coming on the same day as LSC, a clash, and hopes that both films do well at the box office. The actor stated that because of the covid-19 pandemic, many movies couldn't release and such things will happen for some time. ## "Two movies releasing in the same week is natural, so I wouldn't say we are clashing, we are trying to bring out films to the people. "Avatar 2" is slated to release on December 16, 2022, worldwide. ## Ormax Media is a leading media consulting firm in India that tracks OTT viewership and audience interests in cinema. According to the recent survey by Ormax, it was found the Indian audience is most eager to watch a Hollywood movie is "Avatar 2", followed by Tom Cruise's "Mission: Impossible 7". ## "Avatar 2" is the second film in Cameron's Avatar franchise, following Avatar (2009). The film is set more than a decade after the events of the first film. YRF has been on the losing side during the pandemic with three back-to-back failures, however, the makers are hoping for a change in fortunes this time around with Ranbir Kapoor-fronted period action drama film. ## The promotion of "Shamshera" will kickstart with the trailer on June 24. The primary cast of the film - Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Vaani Kapoor along with director Karan Malhotra will be traveling to three different cities of India to launch the trailer for this much-anticipated film. ## "I am very excited to start promoting Shamshera. It's a film that we want to take to a large audience. It's a film made for a large audience. Whatever we can do to market the film, to create the buzz, we're gonna go all out. I am looking forward to the audience's reaction to that", Ranbir said. ## Sanjay Dutt shared that he has seen the film and is sure that it will connect to the whole of India. Mumbai, June 21 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be seen on the big screen for the first time since 2018 in the upcoming multilingual movie "Rocketry: The Nambi Effect". He has played the cameo role in this biographical drama film, headlined by R. Madhavan. ## Written and directed by R. Madhavan, the movie is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), who was falsely accused of espionage. The story spans Narayanan's days as a graduate student at Princeton University, before exploring his work as a scientist and the false espionage charges placed upon him.## Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan and Suriya, who is also playing a cameo role in the film, didn't charge a single penny for their roles. R. Madhavan, while promoting the movie in New Delhi recently, confirmed the same. ## "I mentioned about 'Rocketry' to Shah Rukh Khan sahab when I worked with him in 'Zero'... he vividly remembered it that during one of his birthday parties he asked me about the film's status and expressed his desire to be a part of the film. I thought he was joking. Two days later my wife Sarita asked me to thank Khan saab for his kind words. I dropped a message to Khan Saab's manager asking her to convey my gratitude to him and I instantly got a text from the manager saying, 'khan sahab dates puch rhe hai shoot ki'.. and that's how he became a part of our film", he said. ## Madhavan further said that Suriya used to fly to Mumbai for the film's shoot on his own money. "The two (SRK and Suriya) did not charge a single penny for their work in the film. They did not charge anything for caravans, costumes, and assistants. In fact, Suriya flew out to shoot in Mumbai with his crew on his own money. He did not charge for the flights or for the dialogue writer who translated his lines in Tamil", he added. ## Madhavan will be seen playing the role of Nambi Narayanan in the film, which is slated to release on July 1. Recently, the producer and co-founder of Excel Entertainment Ritesh Sidhwani shared a picture of Farhan on social media, saying he was writing a script. ## As soon as Sidhwani shared the picture, it went viral as fans thought he has begun working on Don 3 script. While it was just a rumor at that time, the latest reports say that he has indeed started to work on the next chapter of Don. According to Pinkvilla, the script is still in the early stage and will take some time before it gets ready. ## "Don is a subject close to everyone at Excel. The team has been trying to crack and develop an idea for Don 3 for a while now. The team has finally scummed upon an idea that's exciting and will take the franchise to the next level.
