Mumbai, April 26 - Salman Khan-fronted Kick 2 has been in the news for a long time. The movie was announced a few years back with Salman and Jacqueline Fernandez returning to their roles. After no update for almost 3 years, the rumours about the movie started spreading on social media recently.## It was reported recently that producer Sajid Nadiadwala of Nadiadwala Grandson is in the process to lock the script as the makers were reportedly intended to release the movie on Eid 2024. Akhil Akkineni's 'Agent' Scores High Pre-Release Worldwide Theatrical Business

Hyderabad, April 26 - Telugu actor Akhil Akkineni's long-awaited spy action thriller Agent is getting ready to hit the big screen this Friday, April 28. The Pan India movie is directed by Surender Reddy who last directed a movie was Chiranjeevi's "Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy" in 2019. ## A few months back, "Agent" was one of the most-anticipated Telugu movies of the tier 2 heroes, but, the continued delay in the production hit the hype. However, the trailer and the unique promotional activities have brought the movie into the scene again and it is currently carrying a decent buzz among the moviegoers. ## Meanwhile, the makers have locked the worldwide theatrical business, and irrespective of the buzz around the movie, it has managed to close a high business for a non-superstar movie. According to T2BLive.com, the pre-release theatrical business of "Agent" is approx. 36.20 crores, which is the second highest ever for Akhil's movie. ## The makers have sold Telugu theatrical rights for around 29 crores while the rest of India's theatrical business is around 4 crores. The overseas rights are locked for around 3 crores. Mumbai, April 26 - After enjoying festive first few days, Salman Khan's family action drama Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has got the first taste of negative critics reviews and audiences' word of mouth in its box office collection after it dropped by 40% on the first Tuesday, one of the biggest first Tuesday drops for an A-list star post the covid-19 pandemic. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan" was probably the least hyped Salman Khan film in many years, plus, the pre-Eid release ensured it takes an underwhelming opening of around 13.50 crores net. Not many films scored much after the low start, especially with the negative reviews but it has proved that such things don't apply to Salman and his stardom. ## After an underwhelming start, KKBKKJ jumped by nearly 90% on its second day, Eid for around 25.75 crores net, followed by another jump on Sunday for around 26.60 crores. It managed to score a decent to good opening weekend of around 67 crores, purely because of the huge pull of Salman. ## There was fear that the movie would tank on Monday, however, being a partial holiday in some places, KKBKKJ did well by holding strong for around 10.20 crores net, but the negative reviews were going to hunt it at some point and this happened on the next day, i.e. Tuesday on which it scored just around 6.10 crores, a harsh 39.82% drop from Monday. ## The total net collection of the film after 5 days is 82.15 crores, and one would feel that such box office numbers with poor reviews in the post-pandemic times could become possible only because of Salman Khan's stardom. In current times, when superstardom is becoming irrelevant, KKBKKJ was a litmus test for Salman to show his star power, and he managed to prove it to some extent. ## However, despite all odds, KKBKKJ was destined to cross 100 crores net, a landmark box office figure most of the films have failed to achieve in the post-covid-era. In a new interview, Gunn especially praised the "Simadri" actor when asked about the one Indian actor who is the best fit in the Guardians universe. ## "Who is the guy from RRR that's so good... What's his name? RRR, the big one from last year? With all the tigers coming out of the cage and everything? That guy (referring to Jr NTR)! I would love to work with that guy someday. And it seems, the wait is going to be worth it for this Ezra Miller-fronted which is being hailed as one of the greatest comic book movies ever. ## Directed by Andrés Muschietti, "The Flash" had its first screening at CinemaCon 2023 by Warner Bros., and the critics are sharing their strong reactions to the movie, especially to the unexpected cameos. It stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen / The Flash along with Sasha Calle as Supergirl while Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck reprise their Batman roles.## Have a look at some of the early reviews for "The Flash" from the CinemaCon event - ## Erik Davis of Fandango calls "The Flash" a tremendous and everything you want from a superhero film. A Film Based On Galwan Valley Clash Is In The Works

Mumbai, April 24 - A film based on the Galwan Valley Clash is officially in development. ## Filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia has acquired the rights of a chapter from the book, titled "India's Most Fearless 3" for the big screen adaptation. The chapter focuses on the events that took place between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan region in 2020. ## The book, written by journalists Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, narrates the brave story of the Indian Army during the deadly clash with Chinese troops on 15-16 June 2020. During the clash, the Indian Army fought bravely and caused China heavy casualties, but, unfortunately, 20 Indian soldiers also lost their lives.## The story-screenplay will be adapted for the film by Suresh Nair in association with Chintan Gandhi who will also pen the dialogues. The third installment in the blockbuster franchise will feature Deepika Padukone as the female lead for the first time in Shetty's Cop Universe.## The shoot of Singham 3 will kickstart in August this year, and as announced recently, the movie will be hitting the big screen on August 15, 2024, worldwide. It was earlier announced for Diwali 2024 release, but the makers preponed the release date for Independence Day. ## Singham 3 has locked possibly the best release date of 2024 and as of now, there is no competition for it. It will have a Thursday release and it could make the most of it because of the Independence Day holiday.
