Vetrimaaran Drops A Big Update On Suriya's 'Vaadivaasal'

Chennai, June 27 - Tamil director Vetrimaaran's highly-awaited film "Vaadivaasal" with superstar Suriya has been in the news ever since it was announced a long time back. However, even after so much time passed since the announcement, the movie hasn't rolled out yet. ## The film was announced a few years back and a test shoot with Suriya also happened several months back. It was supposed to go on floors in 2022 but due to Vetrimaaran's "Viduthalai", the shoot got delayed. Now, the filmmaker has provided a much-awaited update on the same and confirmed that it will go on floors soon. ## During a recent interview, Vetrimaaran stated that the pre-production work for "Vaadivaasal" is underway in London. The entire moments of the bulls that have to perform with Suriya have been scanned and transferred to high-end computers. ## The director said that he will start shooting for "Vaadivaasal" soon after completing the remaining shoot of "Viduthalai - Part 2" starring Vijay Sethupathi and Soori. Mumbai, June 27 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan are teaming up for the first time for an action thriller film. The yet-untitled film will feature SRK in an extended cameo while it will mark Suhana's theatrical debut film. ## The movie will be produced by SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand's Marflix Pictures. Now, according to Pinkvilla, the makers have locked Sujoy Ghosh to direct this action thriller flick. Ghosh is best known for his works in "Kahaani", "Kahaani 2" and "Badlaa". ## SRK and Sujoy Ghosh previously collaborated on Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu's "Badla" in the capacity of producer and director, respectively. The upcoming movie will mark their first collaboration as an actor and director. ## As reported previously, the pre-production work of the film is happening at a brisk pace and the stakeholders at Red Chillies are charged up to introduce the next generation of the family to their audiences. The filming will begin by the end of this year. ## Meanwhile, SRK is currently gearing up for the release of director Atlee's "Jawan" on September 7 this year. He will then be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's "Dunki" which is slated for Christmas 2023 release as of now. The industry has now big hopes for the musical romantic comedy film "Satyaprem Ki Katha" to conclude the first half of the year on high. ## The Sameer Vidwan-directed flick reunites Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani after the blockbuster "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2". The upcoming movie has been one of the most-anticipated ones of the duo and it is expected to start well at the box office.## The keenly-awaited film has been certified U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved runtime of 146 minutes (2 hours 26 minutes). According to the reports, "Satya Prem Ki Katha" will be released on over 2000 screens in India, with the majority of screens being of national multiplex chains. The final screen count may go higher towards 2500 screens.## Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment with Namah Pictures, "Satyaprem Ki Katha" is touted to be a content-driven love story, and if it manages to get positive talks then the makers have a winner in hand. Mumbai, June 27 - Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's "Bawaal", directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has been confirmed to bypass the theatrical release in order to stream directly on Amazon Prime Video. ## Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, "Bawaal" was originally planned for a big screen release, but the makers recently confirmed that it would be streaming directly on Prime Video in July this year. ## According to Bollywood Hungama, the makers originally thought of July 28 release, but now, it will be streaming from July 21. It is said that Varun Dhawan and others in the core team felt that it won't be a correct move as Karan Johar's "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani" releases on July 28. ## Varun Dhawan made his debut under Karan Johar's production with "Student of The Year" (2012) and share a special relationship with him. The actor reportedly didn't want his movie to clash with RRKPK so he convinced the makers to change the date which they reportedly agreed to. ## "Bawaal" is said to be about a small-town man who falls in love with the most beautiful girl in town. He wants to marry her one day because marrying her can rise up his social position. Mumbai, June 26 - Director Sudipto Sen and producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who recently scored one of the biggest blockbusters of all-time in the form of "The Kerala Story", have reunited for a new film, titled "Bastar". ## The makers announced that "Bastar" is based on true events. The movie is about a terrorist attack in which 76 CRPF Jawans and 8 poor villagers were killed in Chintalner village of Dantewada District of Bastar, Chhattisgarh in April 2010. ## The film's poster featured a forest in the middle of huge and ominous clouds of smoke after gunshots and a red flag. A rifle was also seen. The text on the poster read, "Hidden truth that will take the nation by a storm – Bastar".## Produced by Vipul Shah and Aashin A. Shah under the banner of Sunshine Pictures, "Bastar" will be released in theaters on April 5, 2024. It will clash with Jr. NTR's Pan India movie "Davara" which is currently in production. ## The upcoming movie marks the second collaboration between Sudipto Sen and Vipul Shah after TKS which grossed over 300 crores at the global box office. Mumbai, June 26 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next release "Jawan" which is scheduled for September 7, 2023. The actor is expected to score another success with this Atlee's directorial after setting box office records with "Pathaan" which was released earlier this year. ## Apart from "Jawan", SRK also has Rajkumar Hirani's "Dunki" which is expected the wrap up the shoot soon as the movie is scheduled for December 2023 release. After Hirani's social comedy-drama film, SRK was supposed to start YRF's "Tiger vs Pathaan", but according to the latest reports, the actor will start a new film before that. ## According to Pinkvilla, SRK and his daughter Suhana Khan will headline an untitled film that will be produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Siddharth Anand's Marflix. The pre-production work is said to have already commenced and it will be SRK's immediate next after "Dunki". The filming will commence in the last quarter of this year. ## The director's name has been kept under wraps for now. SRK will have an extended appearance much like what he did in "Dear Zindagi" which had Alia Bhatt in the lead role. The upcoming movie will mark the maiden collaboration between SRK and Suhana Khan who will make her theatrical debut with this. Mumbai, June 26 - The sequel to Maddock Films 2018's blockbuster horror-comedy "Stree" was confirmed recently and the pre-production work is going on at a brisk pace.## Amar Kaushik returns to direct "Stree 2" while Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao will reprise their respective roles in the sequel. On Sunday (June 25), Kaushik shared pictures of Shraddha prepping for the film and now, the shoot details have been revealed. ## According to reliable reports, "Stree 2" will go on floors on July 10 and the first schedule will go on till August 10. It will be shot in Chanderi and Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh state. The remaining schedule will be completed in Mumbai in a studio. ## It is also said that the sequel will be heavy on VFX and the makers have collaborated with the same team which done the VFX of Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon's "Bhediya". The plans are to make "Stree 2" a bigger cinematic adventure than the first part which was itself hugely successful and got praise from critics. ## It is known to everyone that Dinesh Vijan is building his horror-comedy universe and "Stree" was the first film in it, before "Roohi" and "Bhediya" joins it. Two of the most awaited movies, Ram Charan-starrer Game Changer and Prabhas-fronted Project K are such films which were announced a long time back but the shoot is still not completed. ## "Game Changer", which is being directed by Shankar, does not seem to getting completed anytime soon. Due to Shankar's other commitment to Kamal Haasan's "Indian 2", the shoot for Ram Charan's movie is having long delays, and as per the latest reports, around 80 days of shoot is still pending for the movie. ## The film was announced for Sankranthi 2024 release in multiple languages, but the latest reports have suggested that it won't be ready by that time. It is said that the "Game Changer" release date is now pushed to the Summer of 2024. It is produced by Dil Raju and the makers are unlikely to provide an update anytime soon as there is so much work still pending. ## Prabhas-fronted "Project K" is perhaps the most-anticipated Indian movie in the works at the moment. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi action epic boasts a legendary cast that also features Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in prominent roles. ## "Project K" is believed to be a two-part feature film, however, the makers haven't made any official announcement regarding the same yet. The movie, produced by C. Aswani Dutt's Vyjayanthi Movies, is currently slated for January 12, 2024, release worldwide in multiple languages. ## The makers didn't mention the release date in their announcement of Kamal Haasan coming on board the film which led to speculations about its postponement. Rumors have been going on for the past few weeks that "Project K" might not be releasing this Sankranthi as it needs a long time in post-production. ## In case of both the aforementioned films move out from Sankranthi 2024 race, then Mahesh Babu's "Guntur Kaaram" remains the only big film to release during this festival. Aswani Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. ## The movie, which was announced in February 2020, is led by Pan India superstar Prabhas while legendary Amitabh Bachchan, actress Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani are also playing prominent roles. Now, the makers have roped in legendary Kamal Haasan to play the lead antagonist role in the film. ## On Sunday (June 25), Vyjayanthi Movies confirmed the veteran actor on board. Mumbai, June 25 - Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films has scored a big box office win in the form of the comedy-drama film "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke" starring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan. ## Directed by Laxman Utekar, ZHZB has crossed the 100 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office on its 4th Saturday, becoming the 6th Bollywood movie of the year to do so. It is only the second film of Vicky Kaushal as well as Sara Ali Khan to hit 100 crores worldwide gross as lead stars. ## ZHZB has so far scored 76.14 crores net or 89.90 crores gross collection in 23 days. Overseas, the movie has grossed an estimated 10.50 crores, which takes the total worldwide collection to 100.40 crores approx. and emerged as a superhit venture for the makers. ## The movie has shown a stronghold so far despite the competition from other movies. In its opening week, ZHZB grossed 44.10 crores domestically, followed by 30.30 crores in the second week and 11.30 crores in the 3rd week.
