Mumbai, December 15 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's spy action thriller Tiger 3 has almost completed its box office journey and emerged as a hit with a domestic collection of around 340 crores gross and worldwide approx. 464 crores.## Directed by Maneesh Sharma, Tiger 3 was released on the day of Diwali amid huge expectations considering Salman Khan's stardom and the brand value of YRF's Spy Universe. The film took the biggest Diwali opening and went on to score a solid opening weekend in India and worldwide which ignited hopes of another massive blockbuster.## Tiger 3, however, couldn't continue the strong momentum of the holiday period in the long term and was affected by the mixed word-of-mouth which dented its chances to go well past 500 crores globally. The cricket World Cup matches on crucial dates in the first 10 days also affected that film's business, but mainly it's the word of mouth which played a part in reducing the film's blockbuster chances. ## The film, despite not being able to repeat the success of previous Spy Universe films, managed to find its spot in the top 5 biggest Bollywood grossers of the year.
