'Race 4' Officially In Development; Makers Share Casting Update
Mumbai, April 6 - Over the last year or so, there have been reports about the 4th installment of the action thriller franchise Race being in the making, and now, the makers have confirmed that Race 4 is indeed in the making and will begin filming soon. ## It has been reported that Saif Ali Khan will make his comeback in the franchise after missing out on Race, and the actor to join him in the upcoming film is Sidharth Malhotra, who is going to be the newest addition to the blockbuster franchise. ## Meanwhile, there were a lot of rumours regarding the casting of the female leads and other actors of the film, but the makers have denied all the rumours. Producer Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films released a statement addressing the casting rumours of Race 4 while confirming that the movie is in the scripting stage. ## "We would like to clarify that we are currently in discussions only with Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra for the next installment of the Race franchise, which is currently in its scripting phase. No other male or female actors have been approached at this stage. We sincerely request that the media and social media pages avoid engaging with false news and wait for an official confirmation from our PR team", the statement reads. ## The third installment, Race 3, was released in 2018 with superstar Salman Khan as the lead. The movie was directed by Remo D'Souza and produced by Salman Khan Films and Tips Industries.
