Box Office: 'Jaat' First Tuesday (Day 6) Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 15 - After the good 5-day holiday period, Sunny Deol-fronted action drama Jaat has witnessed a good hold on the make-or-break first Tuesday at the domestic box office, which has put it on course to emerge as a success. ## The movie has witnessed a drop of around 20% on the first Tuesday (day 6), which is well within the normal range after the holiday, as early estimates suggest collection to be in the range of 5.75-6.25 crores net collection. This has pushed the total around 53+ crores net in 6 days. ## Jaat is heading for an extended 8-day first week in the range of 60 crores, which is a good total. The movie will have a solid competition in the second weekend in the form of Akshay Kumar's Kesari: Chapter 2, but a good hold during the weekdays will keep Jaat in the race to score in the 2nd weekend.## The coming weekend is crucial for Jaat to enter the 100 crores net club, but it has shown enough promise to emerge as a success and hit the coveted box office milestone. The movie is certain to become the second biggest domestic grosser for Sunny Deol (in terms of Net collection). Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is currently at number 2 with 76+ crores net, and Jaat will be looking to cross this figure during the weekend. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: 'Jaat' Fourth Day/First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 13 - Sunny Deol's action drama Jaat has packed a solid punch on its first Sunday at the domestic box office. The film has witnessed a fantastic jump of around +40% and comfortably crossed the double-digit mark for the first time. ## According to early estimates, Jaat has scored in the range of 13.50-14.50 crores net collection on its first Sunday, pushing the extended 4-day weekend to around 40 crores net, which is a good total. This is the second biggest opening weekend ever for a Sunny Deol-starrer after Gadar 2 (135+ crores net in 3 days). ## The movie remained super solid in mass pockets, while multiplexes too have come on board and saw a healthy jump on Sunday, which was expected since the film witnessed a marginal growth in multiplexes on Saturday collections. These are positive signs which show the movie has found acceptance beyond the masses. ## Jaat will be looking at another good hold on Monday due to the Ambedkar Jayanti holiday, which might take its 5-day total to around 50 crores net. The lack of competition is also an advantage for the movie, and this is likely to help it during the weekdays, as word of mouth is positive. ## There will be a big competition for Jaat in the second weekend in the form of Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2, but if it manages to hold steady after the Monday holiday, the movie stands a very good chance to enter the 100 crores club, which should be deemed as a success for it. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: 'Jaat' Third Day/First Saturday Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 12 - The Sunny Deol-led action drama Jaat witnessed a good jump of around 40% on its first Saturday after a decent hold on Friday to stand a good chance of scoring in the double-digit numbers for the first time. ## According to early estimates, Jaat has scored in the range of 9.50-10.50 crores net collection, which pushed its total collection to 26+ crores net in 3 days. The 4-day extended opening weekend is expected to be around 37-40 crores, which is a decent to good total. ## The film continued to remain strong in the mass pockets, while multiplexes also witnessed a marginal growth. These things will help the movie on Sunday as well, but the real test will begin on Monday, which will determine the film's longevity at the box office. ## Jaat has a positive reception, especially among the masses, and that should help it to maintain a steady hold during the weekdays, which is a must for its chances to emerge as a success and potentially hit the 100 crores net mark. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: 'Jaat' Second Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 11 - Sunny Deol's action drama Jaat has seen a decent hold on its second day after the good first day collection of around 9.50 crores net. The movie is having a drop of around 20%-25% today, which was expected due to mid-week release. ## According to early estimates, Jaat is looking to score in the range of 6.75-7.25 crores net on its first Friday, which pushes its total collection to around 16.50 crores in 2 days. The movie had a low start in the morning but picked up well towards the evening and night shows to come close hit the 7 crore mark. ## The word of mouth for Jaat is on the positive side among the masses, and that was again on display as mass pockets have much better hold compared to multiplexes, which remained on the lower side. However, the reception in mass centers is where the movie has a chance to score, and it will look to capitalise on Saturday and Sunday to break the double-digit barrier. ## Depending on where Saturday collection lands, Jaat is expected to score around 40 crores net collection in the extended 4-day weekend, which is a good to decent total. The movie's real test will begin on Monday, which will determine how far it can go at the box office. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: 'Jaat' Opening Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 10 - Sunny Deol-fronted action drama Jaat has taken a decent to good start at the domestic box office with collection flirting with double-digit opening. The response in mass belts, which is its target audience, is easily among the best of the year. ## According to early estimates, Jaat is looking to score in the range of 9-10 crores net collection, which is the 4th biggest opening for a Bollywood title of the year. The industry has been feeling the heat due to the low success ratio this year, and Jaat comes as a much-needed relief. ## The film is best in mass belts, which show an upward trend throughout the day due to positive word of mouth. However, at the same time, it is poor in metro cities, which is expected as the content of the movie is not aimed at them. ## Jaat also benefited from the poor performance of Salman Khan's Sikandar, which goes down further under the 1 crore mark, and with no hope to bounce back, the Sunny Deol-starrer has a clear road for at least a week before Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2 arrives. ## The movie is likely to see a little drop on Friday, but is expected to score well on Saturday and Sunday as the initial reception among its target audience is positive. At this point, the 4-day opening weekend is heading for 40-50 crores net, which is good. ## Stay tuned...
