Kartik Aaryan, Sreeleela's Untitled Love Story With Director Anurag Basu To Be Postponed?
Mumbai, May 29 - Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan and director Anurag Basu have teamed up for the first time for an untitled musical love story film. The film, which was originally supposed to be titled Aashiqui 3, features Sreeleela as the female lead, also marking her Bollywood debut. ## The film was announced earlier this year with a Diwali 2025 release date. However, according to the latest report by The Hollywood Reporter India, the love story is set to be delayed to a new date, possibly to 2026. ## It is said that Anurag Basu has completed 40% of the total shoot of the film after it went on floors in March this year. Kartik, meanwhile, recently started filming for Dharma Productions' "Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri," while Basu is also busy in the post-production of his next, "Metro... In Dino,". ## Given the current commitments of both Kartik and Basu, the report states that the next schedule of their film is likely to kick off in August this year, and this makes things difficult to ready the film by October, which means the film is unlikely to be released on Diwali this year. ## THR India reports that the makers are likely to look for a Valentine's Day 2026 release, however, that date is also impossible as Kartik Aaryan's "Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri" is already scheduled for February 13, 2026, release. ## Meanwhile, with the postponement of Kartik's film is certain, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna's "Thama" with Maddock Films is set to get a solo release this Diwali. ## Stay tuned...
