Mumbai, June 26 - The countdown has begun for Yash Raj Films' mega-budgeted spy action thriller War 2, which is set to hit the big screen in 50 days on August 14. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR, and Kiara Advani, it is easily the most anticipated Bollywood movie of the year, carrying massive hype among the audience. ## On Thursday (June 26), the makers dropped new posters featuring the lead trio and confirmed that War 2 will also be released in IMAX along with other formats in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil languages. It is said that YRF has already booked all the IMAX screens available in India for the movie. Ajay Devgn's 'Son Of Sardaar 2' Complete Cast Details Revealed

Mumbai, June 25 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn returns as Jassi Randhawa in the upcoming romantic action comedy Son of Sardaar 2, which is slated to hit the big screen on July 25 amid big expectations. Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, it is a spiritual sequel to the 2012 film Son of Sardaar. ## Son of Sardaar 2 will see mostly a new-looking star cast as Sanjay Dutt, Sonakashi Sinha, and Juhi Chawala, who were part of the first movie, won't be returning for the sequel. It was already confirmed that Mrunal Thakur is the female lead this time, alongside others. ## Meanwhile, ahead of exactly a month before the release date, the makers have revealed the complete star cast of Son of Sardaar 2 with a new poster. Mumbai, June 24 - Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's comedy drama Sitaare Zameen Par scored a good hold on Monday after the better-than-expected opening weekend collection at the domestic and worldwide box office with around 96 crores gross. ## Enjoying the superb word of mouth, Sitaare Zameen Par has topped 100 crores worldwide gross collection on Monday, becoming the 8th Bollywood movie of the year to achieve the feat. In India, the film has minted around 80 crores gross, while overseas collection is an estimated 30 crores, for the worldwide cume total of around 110 crores in 4 days. ## Needless to say, Sitaare Zameen Par is one of the surprise box office successes of the year. Released amid low buzz, the film opened to around 13 crores gross, before showing near-perfect 100% growth on Saturday, followed by another solid jump on Sunday as the opening weekend finished around 69 crores in India. ## The good hold on Monday has ensured that SZP may have a solid run; however, there is Ajay Devgn's production horror thriller "Maa", starring Kajol, that is releasing this Friday amid a decent buzz. The weekend biz of the movie is a classic case of the unpredictability of the box office, which can turn the tide either way of expectations. ## SZP, directed by RS Prasanna, scored the opening of a little over 10 crores net, something which would have been considered a disaster start for an Aamir Khan-starrer before the COVID-19 pandemic, but not in the present time, when big openings are no longer guaranteed, even for a superstar's film. ## It was still the lowest opening for Aamir Khan since Ghajini (10.20 crores net), but it can be called decent given the fact that there weren't high expectations from it, as trade was expecting below the double-digit start. This is the biggest second-day jump for a Bollywood movie with a double-digit start. ## According to early estimates, the film has scored in the range of 21-22+ crores net on Saturday, which takes its total collection to around 32 crores net in 2 days. The opening weekend, which looked like it might finish in the mid-40s, is now aiming for 55 crores net or might be even higher as pre-sales for Sunday are excellent. ## The huge second-day growth has made up for most of the lost ground of the opening day, which saw a decent start, but it couldn't be called good, given the fact that Aamir's film used to take much bigger openings in the past. The third instalment of it was recently confirmed for October 2, 2026, release. According to the report by Pinkvilla, the movie will start its shooting journey exactly a year before its theatrical debut. ## "The Gandhi Jayanti date holds a lot of significance for the Drishyam franchise (those who have watched would know why), and hence, the makers are embarking on the journey for the final Drishyam film from October 2, 2025", says the report. ## Ajay Devgn has already reportedly allotted his dates for Drishyam 3, which will be shot at real locations of Maharashtra, as well as the studio set up during a marathon schedule, spanning 3 months. The script of the film is already locked, and the makers are working on the dialogue draft at the moment. ## The entire cast of the franchise, along with director Abhishek Pathak, will return for the third instalment. The film picked up well towards the evening and night shows, and managed to cross the double-digit mark by a decent margin. ## According to early estimates, SZP has scored in the range of 11-12 crores net collection. It was also released in Telugu and Tamil, in which, it has earned around 15-20 lakh collection. The trade was expecting an 8-9 crores opening, so considering that, it is a decent start. ## The opening of Sitaare Zameen Par is almost in the same range as Aamir's last film, Laal Singh Chaddha, which scored around 11.75 crores net in all versions. Mumbai, June 20 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's romantic action comedy Son of Sardaar 2 is reportedly getting a solo release as Maddock Films' romantic comedy Param Sundari is set to be delayed, according to the report by Peepingmoon.com. ## There had been speculation about the postponement of Param Sundari for some time, but the makers recently announced that it would be released on July 25, on the same day SOS2 hits the big screen. But the Maddock has now decided to postpone Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's film. ## Producer Dinesh Vijan of Maddock believes that Param Sundari has a strong chance of succeeding at the box office, and he doesn’t want it to get lost in a crowded release schedule. Both SOS2 and Param Sundari are in the same genre, but the former has more face value due to star power and franchise. ## Vijan has strategically opted to reposition the film to ensure it receives the attention it deserves, both for its narrative and its music. It is set in the era of the 1970s and 1980s in Pakistan when Doval worked as a spy. ## The shoot of the film is going on at a brisk pace, with nearly 75% of the total filming already completed. Now, the makers are gearing up to launch the teaser on Ranveer's birthday on July 6.
