Mumbai, August 21, 2021: The Hindi remake of Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde starrer Telugu movie "Ala Vaikunthapuramaloo" has been in development for quite some time now. The Hindi remake will reportadly reunite Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon after Luka Chuppi. ## Kartik had been finalized since some time while Kriti Sanon was juggling with dates for the film in question. The movie, which will be directed by Rohit Dhawan, was expected to kick-off in June this year but that didn't happen due to various issues. ## Now, according to the latest reports, Kriti has confirmed her availability for the movie and the movie is set to go on floors by November this year. The makers were said to be in talks with two other actresses in the last few months but those talks have all been closed now after Kriti's nod. ## The Hindi remake will see Kartik and Kriti stepping into the shoes of Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde. Mumbai, August 21, 2021: Akshay Kumar's big-budget spy thriller, Bell Bottom has been released in theaters worldwide on August 19 and running decently amid some restrictions on cinema halls. The movie was always meant for a theatrical release and despite the risk of covid-19, the makers go ahead with its non-OTT release. ## Bell Bottom is the first big-ticket Bollywood movie during the covid-19. Theaters across India were in dire need of some sort of relief, especially the northeast theaters. While the collection of Bell Bottom has been largely been affected due to the pandemic, Akshay Kumar and producers of the film have earned the respect of cinema chains, who thanked them for bringing the movie to theaters amid the trying times. ## INOX, one of the leading multiplex chains, took to Twitter and lauded Akshay Kumar as a true hero. Melbourne, August 20, 2021: The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) announced its winners for its 12th edition, which was held virtually on August 20 (Friday). This year's festival had a line-up of feature and short films from across India, representing the theme of diversity through cinema.## Pankaj Tripathi, who has been winning accolades for his versatility in films and web shows, was honored with the Diversity in Cinema Award presented by LaTrobe University. On winning the award, Pankaj Tripathi said, "This award is special for me, I'm humbled and it's really inspiring for me, my craft. The man who is here to give me this award, he is the one who discovered my talent. So thanks to Anurag Kashyap sir. He is the one who rediscovered my talent. I’m grateful to all my directors, writers for having me part of their projects". ## Tamil film Soorarai Pottru walked away with the Best Feature Film and Suriya won the Best Actor award for the same. Soorarai Pattru was released last year on Amazon Prime Video and has been winning accolades around the world since. It is also the highest-rated Indian movie on IMDb and the third-highest worldwide with a rating of 9.1. ## Suriya, on his part, thanked his fans and Soorarai Pottru director Sudha Kongara, saying, "I'm sure all the nominees have given their best. This film is very special, and this is the first award I'm getting for this film. Thanks to all the fans who have given us so much love. In my career, I felt bored with what I was doing after having worked for 20 years. So thanks to my director Sudha — this film was her 10 years dream — she worked four years on writing or his film. The character of Maara will not be anything without her. I couldn't ask for more". ## Among the other top honours, Samantha Akkineni and Manoj Bajpayee won the best actress and best actor award for a web series. The duo headlined Prime Video's "The Family Man 2", which marked Samantha's digital as well as Hindi debut. Vidya Balan also won the best actress award for her movie Sherni, which also premiered on Amazon Prime Video. ## Indian filmmakers like Anurag Kashyap, Shoojit Sircar, Thiagarajan Kumararaja, Sriram Raghavan were amongst the presenters. Mumbai, August 20, 2021: Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, a romantic family drama film that marks Karan Johar's directorial return after almost a gap of four years, has commenced filming today. The movie stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as Rocky and Rani. The movie marks the second collaboration of the actors after Gully Boy (2019). ## The movie, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, also stars a stellar cast of veteran actors — Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in prominant roles. The opening day of the shoot was fun-filled as could be seen in a video shared by Ranveer, Alia, and Karan. The video revealed Alia's traditional look dressed in Indian clothes with a red bindi on her forehead. ## Ranveer could also be seen practicing dance moves and also shooting a scene with Alia as Karan supervised the shoot. Johar's last film as director was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). Those who have watched the movie hailed Sidharth for portraying Batra in the film. ## Directed by Vishnuvardhan in his Hindi debut, Shershaah premiered directly on Amazon Prime Video on August 12. Mumbai, August 18, 2021: Ever since the trailer of Akshay Kumar starrer "Bell Bottom", has released, the transformation of Lara Dutta as Indira Gandhi has become a talking point among the fans on social media. ## In an interview with IANS, director Ranjit M. Tewari shared why Lara Dutta was selected for the role despite her facial features not being similar to those of the late former prime minister. The director revealed casting Lara as Indira Gandhi was Akshay's idea while her transformation could be possible because of the science of prosthetics. ## "This was one of the important casting decisions for my film. If we look at Lara in real life, she carries herself with a lot of dignity and has a very strong personality. Initially, the idea of casting Lara came from Akshay sir, so the credit goes to him. Then I was wondering how to make her look like Mrs. Gandhi. She does not look like her in any way", Tewari said. ## "I had two options: either we make Lara look exactly like Mrs. Gandhi, or create a similar look, keeping the essence of the 'Mrs. Gandhi look'. Then I sat with (the makeup artist) Vikram Gaikwad and after several discussions and photoshop sessions, finally, we went for prosthetics". ## "For the first time, when she had 70 percent of her prosthetics on, I saw Lara in her Mrs. Gandhi look. I was like, 'That's it! We found the look!' I am very happy that the effort that has gone into her look has been appreciated. Dangal Girl Sanya Malhotra Joins The Cast Of Shah Rukh Khan - Nayanthara's Film With Director Atlee?

Mumbai, August 18, 2021: The fans of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan have been waiting for official updates on his upcoming films, which have been a talk of the town for the last year. Even though the movies are yet to be announced, SRK has reportadly locked his next three films, which promise his return on the big screen with a bang. ## Among the three confirmed films of SRK, his film with Tamil director Atlee has been making a lot of noise for a couple of months now. The movie is believed to be SRK's immediate next after his currently on floors, Pathan, with director Siddharth Anand. Talking about Atlee's film, it will be a Pan-India film that will feature an ensamble cast from Bollywood and South film industry. ## Recently, it was reported that lady superstar Nayanthara approached to play the female lead opposite SRK. While the official confirmation is yet to be made, the actress has been confirmed and set to make her grand Bollywood debut in Atlee's film. Nayanthara has already worked with Atlee in Raja Rani and Bigil, and she is said to be the first choice of director for SRK's film. ## Now, the latest reports say that Dangal fame Sanya Malhotra has also been roped in to join the ensemble team. The actress who's already doing Love Hostel for SRK's banner Red Chillies, will play one of the main characters in this Atlee directorial. She is signed and locked for the film and is very excited to share screen space with the SRK who is set to begin his career's new phase with some global-standard, big-scale, content-driven movies.## Atlee is a popular face down south and has delivered three box office blockbusters with Thalapathy Vijay. He would be hopeful to recreate same magic with SRK's film, which is said to be made in a budget of Rs. 200 crores. The film's pre-production work is already going on in full is expected to kick off by the end of October in Mumbai. ## SRK will also be doing Rajkumar Hirani's social drama film based on immigration. Amitabh Bachchan To Play An Important Role In R Balki's Psychological Thriller Film With Sunny Deol & Dulquer Salmaan

Mumbai, August 17, 2021: Director R. Balki has already started shooting for his next film that is a psychological thriller starring Sunny Deol and Dulquer Salmaan in the lead roles. The yet-to-be-titled film is the first directorial venture for Balki after Akshay Kumar starrer Padman. ## Meanwhile, ever since the movie was announced, there were rumors that legendary Amitabh Bachchan is also a part of the film considering that he shares a good rapport with the filmmaker and has done guest appearances in Balki's previous films too. Well, the filmmaker has now himself confirmed that Big B is indeed an important part of the film and that his role will be decisive. ## Speaking about Big B's role in the film, the director told Spotboye, "He has to be there. I've cast him in every single film of mine beginning with Cheeni Kum where he was the lead to Pad Man where he made a special appearance. In my thriller, Mr. Bachchan will come in at a crucial juncture in the plot. His presence would be decisive, as it always is in my cinema. I'd never cast him just for the sake of casting him". ## Balki is directing Sunny Deol for the first time. Speaking about his decision of casting Sunny in his film, the Paa director said, "I've never worked with him. I don't know why I thought of him. But this was a role that needed a man with an understated machismo. Strong yet vulnerable. A man of a few words whose presence alone makes people pay attention to him. Sunny can command respect without raising his voice or fists. I wanted that personality for this character". ## The film will also have his first collaboration with Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan. "Dulquer is one of the most talented actors today. I wanted to work with him for the longest time. This thriller requires Dulquer presence. His fans will see him in an entirely new light", reveals Balki.## Written by R Balki and co-written by Rishi Virmani and Raja Sen, the movie also has Shreya Dhanwanthary and Pooja Bhatt as the female leads. Ayushmann Khurrana To Jump Into Action Genre To Clash With Jaideep Ahlawat In Aanand L Rai's 'Action Hero'?

Mumbai, August 17, 2021: Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who is currently shooting for Junglee Pictures' campus-comedy drama Doctor G in Prayagraj, is known for doing pathbreaking and different films that have left lasting impressions on people. Recently, it was reported that Badhaai Ho actor would be reuniting with Anand L Rai for a multi-genre film, which Rai would produce. ## Now, the latest development suggests that Ayushmann's film with Rai is a big-scale action film, which will mark the actor's first attempt in the action genre. The movie is said to be different from the regular masala action movies and has reportadly been titled, "Action Hero". Paatal Lok actor Jaideep Ahlawat has been roped in to play the antagonist in this film. ## According to a source quoted by the peeping moon, "Ayushmann is gradually trying to change his image and exploring different genres to prove his versatility as an actor, and this action film is going to be the starting point towards that. The actor will be seen in a distinct look in this film and will undergo rigorous physical training before its principal photography begins later this year. It's Jaideep Ahlawat playing the villain and Ayushmann must build up to look believable against him". ## Anirudh Iyer Ganapathy is said to be making his directorial debut with this movie and he has already started the pre-production. The makers are planning to shoot the movie in the UK sometime in December. Action Hero is expected to have an ensemble supporting cast alongside Ayushmann and Jaideep. ## Meanwhile, Ayushmann is gearing up for the release of his next film, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, co-starring Vaani Kapoor. It will be released in theaters soon after they reopened with full capacity.
