Mumbai, March 26 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited action thriller Bholaa which arrives on March 30. Apart from playing the title role, Ajay has also directed and produced this entertainer which is the adaptation of the Tamil movie "Kaithi".## After the release of "Bholaa", the actor will directly head to director Neeraj Pandey's romantic thriller Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha and will resume filming in April. It has Tabu, who is also in "Bholaa", as the female lead along with Jimmy Shergill and Saiee Manjrekar in a prominent roles. ## Meanwhile, producer Shreyans Hirawat of NH Studioz has reportedly revealed that they are planning to release the film on Diwali 2023. He stated that the principal filming will be wrapped up by May as they gear up to release it this year. ## Though the makers haven't fixed a release date yet, AMKDT might clash with Salman Khan-fronted mega movie "Tiger 3" which is already slated for Diwali 2023 release. However, it is highly unlikely that both movies will arrive on the same day but it now remains to be seen if Ajay Devgn-fronted clashes with Tiger 3 or does it release a few weeks before or after Diwali.## Produced by Shital Bhatia, Narendra Hirawat, Reliance Entertainment, and Kumar Mangat Pathak, the movie is an epic romantic drama with elements of thrill spanning 20 years and is set between 2002 and 2023. Mumbai, March 25 - The 2015's comedy-drama Bajrangi Bhaijaan is considered a landmark film in superstar Salman Khan's career. It not only became his biggest blockbuster but also won him critical acclaim. ## Directed by Kabir Khan, the film featured Kareena Kapoor as the female lead and child actress Harshali Malhotra in a prominent role. In 2021, writer V. Vijayendra Prasad revealed that he was writing the sequel of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and he would soon be able to complete it. ## Salman Khan himself confirmed that he would be returning to the sequel and he revealed that it was titled "Pavan Putra Bhaijaan". Now, according to Bollywood Hungama, Salman has brought Pooja Hegde as the female lead, replacing Kareena Kapoor. ## The report says that Pooja Hegde's character details are not known yet whether she will play the same character that Kareena played in the first film. Ajay Devgn Talks About 'Bholaa' Cinematic Universe

Mumbai, March 25 - Actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn's action thriller Bholaa is getting ready for its worldwide release on March 30. The much-awaited movie is the adaptation of the Tamil hit "Kaithi" which was directed by Lokesh Kangaraj and featured Karthi in the lead role. ## "Kaithi" was part of Kangaraj's cinematic universe which also includes Kamal Haasan's "Vikram". Now, with "Bholaa", Ajay Devgn is set to turn this into a franchise that will be completely different from Lokesh's version. ## During a recent interview with Variety, Devgn revealed that Bholaa ends on a note which will give the feel of the second part. He said that in the upcoming parts, new characters will be introduced and some of them might be revealed in "Bholaa" itself.## "Bholaa ends at a note where you will feel that there is going to be a part two, it would not be a similar part two like 'Vikram' or an adaptation. Because we will be bringing in different kinds of new characters. So yes, it will be a continuation, that's the approach to it", said Devgn.## Also starring Tabu, "Bholaa" is Devgn's 4th directorial and he promised never-before-seen action in this. "It's a big scale film, it's an action film, and the kind of visuals and action we have, we thought that we'd enhance the whole drama and action sequences and the tension. Akhtar is currently on the location hunt for the movie and he shared a picture in which he can be seen in the desert area of Rajasthan. Mumbai, March 23 - Telugu star Nani is heavily promoting his upcoming period action drama film Dasara in the Hindi belt. Directed by debutante Srikanth Odhela, "Dasara" is scheduled to release on March 30 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. ## "Dasara", which also stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead, is expected to take a bumper opening at the Telugu box office, however, it won't be that easy in Hindi as it will be clashing with Ajay Devgn's mass action entertainer Bholaa which is slated for same day release. ## "Bholaa" is easily one of the most-anticipated Bollywood films but Nani seems confident about "Dasara". During a recent interview, Nani was asked to comment on Dasara clashing with Bholaa at the Hindi box office to which the Natural Star gave a heartfelt response. ## Nani said that when he came to Mumbai for the first time to promote "Makkhi" (Eaga), Ajay sir was also present in that press conference, so I was introduced here with his support. Mumbai, March 23 - Director Anubhav Sinha's drama film Bheed seems to be going nowhere with its pre-sales and chances for its dull start at the box office looming large. ## Starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, "Bheed" is set during the events of the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown in India. It tells the story of how several characters in the film deal with the covid-19 lockdown and migrate to a place they feel safe. ## The movie did hit by controversy, however, despite the desperate attempt, it failed to generate any sort of buzz which was clearly visible in the advance booking which finished below 10 lac gross for the opening day. ## Given the fact that there was hardly any awareness among the moviegoers and dull response in the pre-booking, "Bheed" was always going to struggle at the box office and that's what happened with it with the opening of around 30 lacs. Sinha's last directorial, "Anek" (2022) too bombed at the box office and the prospects are not looking promising for his upcoming film either. ## The lack of curiosity for "Bheed" is set to benefit Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's "Tu Jhoothi Mein Makkaar" for another week before Ajay Devgn's "Bholaa" arrives on March 30. There is Keanu Reeves' "John Wick 4" this weekend but that will mainly acquire the premium screens. Mumbai, March 22 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's much-awaited romantic-action drama film Bawaal starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor has been announced to release in theaters on October 6, 2023. ## The movie was supposed to release in April this year, however, due to the delay in post-production, the makers decided to postpone the release. In between, there were rumors that Bawaal would be released directly on digital platforms before makers denied such development. ## The movie marks the second collaboration between producer Sajid Nadiadwala and Nitesh Tiwari after their National award-winning film "Chhichhore". Also, it is the first time that Varun, Janhvi, and Nitesh Tiwari have teamed up.## "Bawaal" is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson, and is co-produced by EarthSky Pictures. The actor wanted some time off from acting though he still wants to produce this film under his banner Aamir Khan Productions. ## A few weeks ago, Aamir reportedly offered the script to superstar Salman Khan who liked the idea initially. However, as per the latest reports, Salman might turn it down as things not falling in place.## According to Peepingmoon.com, "Salman recently watched the original Spanish film and suggested some changes in the Hindi adaptation. Mumbai, March 21 - Ranbir Kapoor-fronted romantic-comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar is keeping up with study run at the box office during the weekdays. ## After scoring 92.31 crores net in the extended first week, Luv Ranjan's directorial movie did well on the second weekend to score 16.83 crores, a drop of approx. 61% from like-for-like first Fri-Sun weekend. It held well on its second Monday for approx. 2.40 crores, pushing total net collection to over 111.50 crores in 13 days.## TJMM has entered among the top 5 highest-grossing films of Ranbir Kapoor at the domestic box office. On its second Tuesday, the movie crossed the lifetime net collection of Ranbir's "Barfi!" (112.10 crores) and "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" (113.20 crores) to become his 4th biggest net scorer. ## Produced by Luv Films and T-Series, TJMM is Ranbir's 7th 100 crores grosser. It will finish as the 4th biggest of him as it is still approx. 75 crores away from topping "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" which looks unlikely. ## Meanwhile, TJMM is the 6th 100 crores net-grossing film of Shraddha Kapoor's career. The movie has crossed the lifetime net total of "Ek Villain" (105 crores) and "ABCD 2" (106 crores) to become the 4th biggest for the actress and is likely to finish at number 3, ahead of "Stree" which scored approx. 130 crores net.## At the worldwide box office, TJMM is approx. 172 crores and has a shot at crossing 200 crores gross at the end of its run.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, March 20 - Ranbir Kapoor-fronted period action drama film Shamshera was one of the most anticipated movies of 2022, however, it bombed at the box office and turned out to be the biggest disappointment for Bollywood. ## Directed by Karan Malhotra, Shamshera met with poor reviews from critics which didn't help the movie to take a big opening and then, the poor reception from audiences as well made sure it go nowhere at the box office. The movie got criticism for poor writing and direction which led to its major disappointment. ## Now, the dialogue writer of the film, Piyush Mishra opened up about its failure at the box office. In a candid chat with Hindustan Times, the veteran actor and writer said that "I also didn't understand why it didn’t work. People said it didn’t work due to the script". ## "I think we have already seen fantastic stunts so many times. Now you will have to compete with them, the revolution in the South. Baahubali was not merely CGI, it also had a very solid script. To compete with a Baahubali, you will have to write an equally brilliant script. Pushpa also had a very good script, it wasn't made just like that. Adding CGI is only beneficial when you have a solid script, CGI without a script is of no use", he added.## Though there wasn't too much criticism for dialogues, Mishra said that it's the screenplay that decides the quality of dialogues in a film. "I derive my inspiration only from the screenplay. Dialogues depend on the screenplay. It's not possible to write dialogues for a bad screenplay, at least for me it's not possible", he concludes.## Produced by Yash Raj Films on a budget of around 150 crores, Shamshera did a worldwide business of approx. 60 crores, including approx. 48 crores domestically.
