RRR Japan Box Office Collection: Becomes The 3rd Highest-Grossing Indian Film

Tokyo, November 7 - SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster RRR has become the third highest-grossing Indian film at the Japan box office, crossing Aamir Khan's comedy-drama "3 Idiots". ## The Jr. NTR and Ram Charan-starrer completed 17 days at the Japan box office and crossed the 10 crores mark. It grossed ¥185 million (Rs. 10.34 crores) through the third Sunday. "3 Idiots" grossed ¥170 million in its lifetime run in Japan and is now slipped to 4th position. ## The period action drama film also scored 122K footfalls in Japan in 17 days. The movie has been running on 209 screens, including 31 IMAX screens across 44 locations. It is the fastest Indian film to achieve these footfalls, scoring another milestone in Japan. ## "RRR's" worldwide gross collection has now reached 1125 crores, including over 220 crores at the overseas box office. In Japan, the film might reach at number 2 in its full run. It was announced before the release of SS Rajamouli-directed "RRR", which itself had been delayed multiple times before finally hitting theaters in March this year. ## Gowtam Tinnanuri's film was supposed to be Ram Charan's immediate next after later's currently on the floor "RC15" with director Shankar. However, due to the delay in "RRR" and now "RC15" is also getting delayed, Ram Charan is believed to be not interested in Tinnanuri's film anymore as reports say he is not fully satisfied with the script and that the project has been shelved. It was supposed to be produced by UV Creations.## According to reports, Gowtam's film which was to happen with Ram Charan will now be headlined by Vijay Deverakonda with UV Creations producing it. It may be announced soon and is expected to start production in 2023. ## There is another film that is on the verge of getting shelved is superstar Pawan Kalyan's "Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh" with director Harish Shankar. It was announced in 2020 and the title of the same was announced in 2021. The combo created magic with their maiden collaboration "Gabbar Singh" (2012) and since the fans were waiting to see them together and their wish finally came true with the announcement of "Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh".## Director Harish has been hyping his film with Pawan Kalyan and had said that "Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh" will be bigger than "Gabbar Singh" and raised the expectations of the fans. However, it is not easy to make films with PK nowadays because of his political commitments and this is the reason he is not being able to start shooting for new films. ## Despite Harish Shankar's continued efforts to keep the hopes alive of this mass entertainer, the future of the movie is looking blick. Tokyo, October 29 - SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster RRR scored the biggest ever first-week collections at the Japan box office for an Indian movie. ## The period action drama film, which grossed over 1100 crores worldwide in its initial run at the worldwide box office, was released in Japan on October 21 on over 209 screens, including 31 IMAX screens across 44 locations. ## According to Variety, the big-screen spectacle grossed JPY73 million ($495K or Rs. 4.05 crores), making it the highest first-week collection for an Indian film in Japan. It opened at No. 10 and the top nine films were all local Japanese films. "RRR" was the highest-grossing non-Japanese film of this week. ## The website reported that "RRR" will recover its total release cost and will enter into a profit zone within 10 days or during the second weekend. RRR Japan Box Office Collection: Clocks A Good Opening Weekend

Tokyo, October 24 - SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster RRR has had a good debut at the Japan box office, grossing approx. ¥65 million (Rs. 3.61 crores) in the opening weekend.## The movie was carrying big anticipation among the Japanese audience and the presence of Rajamaouli along with Jr. NTR and Ram Charan further raised the excitement. It opened at Rs. 1.06 crore which is the biggest for an Indian movie in Japan. ## "RRR" did see some growth on the second day for approx. Rs. 1.33 crores, followed by approx. Rs. 1.22 crores on Sunday. It was released on around 210 locations in the country, which is probably the biggest-ever release for an Indian title. ## The opening weekend total of "RRR" is probably the highest ever in Japan as far as the Indian movie is concerned.
