Superstar Allu Arjun's Pan India Movie 'Pushpa - The Rule' Release Date Locked

Hyderabad, August 25 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's highly-awaited Pan India movie "Pushpa - The Rule" release date has reportedly been locked. Directed by Sukumar, the film is the second part of "Pushpa - The Rise" which is the highest-grossing film of the actor with a worldwide gross collection of over 360 crores. ## The film is currently in the production stage and according to Aakashavaani, the makers have locked a March 22, 2024, release date in multiple languages. It will be released two weeks before superstar Jr. NTR's Pan India movie "Devara" which is slated for April 5, 2024, release.## "Pushpa 2" is produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings. It stars Allu Arjun in the title role alongside Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, among other prominent roles. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan", which is scheduled to release on September 7, has faced such challenges as many set pics as well as video clips have been leaked online, and to prevent such things, makers had to take a legal route.## Prabhas-fronted "Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire", which is probably the biggest Pan India movie of the year at the moment, has reportedly shifted the post-production to a different place to safeguard the movie. While the actor's "Akhanda" (2021) became his first 100 crores worldwide grosser, his "Veera Simha Reddy" topped it earlier this year and emerge NBK's biggest grosser yet.## Nandamuri Balakrishna is now gearing up for his next blockbuster, titled "Bhagavanth Kesari". Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the action comedy-drama is one of the most-anticipated Telugu movies of the year. The movie is expected to continue the winning streak for the actor, and considering the hype around it, the makers have been able to fetch record pre-release theatrical business for the same.## According to Telugu media reports, the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) theatrical rights have been sold at approx. 62 crores. Renowned producer Dil Raju is said to have bought Nizam area rights for approx. 14 crores while Ceded area rights are reportedly sold to Abhishek Reddy for approx. 12.50 crores. ## Overall, the worldwide theatrical business of the movie is said to be locked at around 72 crores which is in the same range as "Veera Simha Reddy". "Bhagavanth Kesari" will need to gross 120+ crores worldwide in order to break even, which should be a cakewalk unless it receives poor reception.## "Bhagavanth Kesari" is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi under the banner of Shine Screens banner. Hyderabad, August 14 - The Indian box office created history during the weekend of August 11-13 with all the movies running in theaters currently grossing close to 400 crores. However, in-between raining blockbusters, Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi's "Bholaa Shankar" disappointed big time and registered a low opening weekend at the domestic as well as global box office.## Directed by Meher Ramesh, "Bholaa Shankar" was expected to continue the winning run for Chiranjeevi after the big blockbuster success of "Waltair Veerayya" earlier this year. But it was not the case as "Bholaa Shankar" recorded one of the lowest weekend collections for the superstar in recent times.## "Bhola Shankar" grossed approx. 36 crores worldwide, including just 5 crores at the overseas box office over the 3-day weekend. Domestically, the movie grossed 31 crores approx., including approx. 21.75 crores share collection in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana).## The AK Entertainments and Creative Commercials' production venture needs to gross at least 125 crores worldwide to reach the break-even target, for which, the movie needs a miracle which is not looking to happen. Box Office: Mahesh Babu's 'Businessman' Sets All-Time Record

Hyderabad, August 10 - One of the biggest Telugu hits of 2012, "Businessman" starring Mahesh Babu was re-released in cinemas on August 9, 2023, and shattered all the records at the box office. The movie is directed by blockbuster director Puri Jagannadh and it also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Prakash Raj in prominent roles.## "Businessman" has had a decent re-release which is on par with a low-budget Telugu movie as far as showcasing is concerned. However, the opening of the movie is of the level of some mid-range Telugu movies with a gross collection of approx. 5.25 crores worldwide.## In Telugu states, the movie grossed a huge approx. 4.40 crores which is an all-time record for a re-released film. It has beaten Pawan Kalyan's "Kush" which grossed approx. 3.60 crores in AP/TG earlier this year. Jr. NTR's "Simadari" is in third place with approx. 2.90 crores opening day gross.## In the Nizam area, "Businessman" scored a solid approx. 2.50 crores gross, beating Pawan Kalyan's "Kushi" which minted approx. 1.65 crores gross earlier this year. In Ceeded, the Mahesh Babu-starrer scored approx. 35 lakh, while other regions contributed approx. 1.55 crores gross.## Outside Telugu states, "Businessman" grossed approx. 55 lakh from the rest of the domestic market while its overseas collection is approx. 35 lakh. Worldwide, the opening of the "Businessman" re-release is the second biggest after Pawan Kalyan's "Kushi" which grossed approx. 7.50 crores.## "Businessman" had broken records in the advance booking itself as it recorded approx. 2.40 crores pre-sales.
