Los Angeles, April 28 - James Cameron's "Avatar" became the highest-grossing film of all time before Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Endgame" claimed the title in 2019. However, Disney re-released 2009's sci-fi epic in China last year and it helped "Avatar" to reclaim its title of the highest-grosser with $2.84 billion worldwide. ## James Cameron and Disney's focus is now on "Avatar 2", which is scheduled to release in theaters worldwide on December 16, 2022. Producer Jon Landau, however, announced at CinemaCon 2022, that the original movie will be re-released again on September 23rd this year, with restored pictures and sound. ## Jon Landau was talking at CinemaCon during Disney's slate presentation in Caesars Palace's Colosseum. During the event, Disney released the first stunning teaser/trailer of Cameron's "Avatar 2", which was released, exclusively in theaters with Disney/Marvel's "Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness", and a week later, it was made available online for the viewers. ## The re-release of "Avatar" with a re-mastered version, will further strengthen its position at the box office where it has already grossed over $2.84 billion worldwide. Los Angeles, April 28 - James Cameron's sci-fi epic, "Avatar 2" first glimpse was shown at CinemaCon 2022, during Disney's slate presentation. The attendees at CinemaCon were overjoyed to see the first tease/trailer of the world of Pandora. ## The title of "Avatar 2", which has officially been announced to debut in theaters on December 16 this year, is "Avatar - The Way of Water". "Avatar 2" is set more than a decade after the events of the first film. It will capture the story of Sully family, the trouble that follows them, and the battle they fight to stay alive.## The first teaser/trailer of the movie, which was screened in 3D for the CinemaCon audiences, will be attached with Marvel Studios' "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of the Madness" in theaters from May 6. It will later release on YouTube, maybe a couple of days after the "Doctor Strange 2" release. ## Producer Jon Landau also reported (via THR) that the four sequels of "Avatar" will be about Jake and Nyteri's family - each a standalone film "together ever-greater connected epic saga. It debuted with $134 million domestically, which is the highest so far in 2022. Los Angeles, April 26 - Sony Pictures has officially greenlit the third "Venom" movie at CinemaCon 2022. The first two Venom movies have collectively grossed $1.4 billion at the global box office to date. ## The first "Venom" movie was released in 2018 and grossed more than $850 million at the global box office along with an 81% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes. The last movie, "Venom: Let There Be Carnage", was released in October 2021 and went on to score $502 million worldwide. ## Sony Pictures, however, hasn't revealed much about "Venom 3", just the pic's logo in a closing sizzle reel, and no talent attachments were revealed. Venom might have a crossover with Spider-Man in the third movie as teased in "Venom 2". ## Meanwhile, Sony has revealed that the third "Spider-Verse" movie has been titled "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" and it is dated March 29, 2024. The website did a survey on over 6000 people and found that the sequel to 2016's movie is number 1. ## Fandango's study also revealed the main factors that moviegoers consider when choosing what they want to watch next on the big screen. In the top 10 most anticipated movies of summer 2022, almost all films in Fandangos' ranking belong to a well-established franchise. ## While Marvel's "Doctor Strange 2" takes the top position, the studio's "Thor: Love And Thunder" was voted as the second most anticipated title. It has also been banned in Egypt and Kuwait, which hasn't been confirmed yet. ## According to reports, the decision of banning "Doctor Strange 2" in the Middle East" nation is associated with its LGBTQ issues, as it is introducing the character America Chavez (played by Xochitl Gomez) who, as per her portrayal in the comics, is gay. The movie, however, has not been released yet and no one has reviewed it yet. ## The follow-up to the hit 2016 superhero film starring Benedict Cumberbatch was due to be released across the Gulf on May 5 as part of its global rollout. However, it was always going to be a daunting task to release the film in the Middle East as homosexuality is officially illegal across the Gulf, films that feature any LGBTQ references or issues often fail to get past censors.## Earlier, Marvel Studios' "Eternals" by director Chloé Zhao, was also banned in some of the Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia because of the inclusion of a same-gender couple in the film and the MCU's first gay superhero. The studio, on Wednesday, announced that "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse", which was slated for theatrical release on October 7 this year, will now open on June 2, 2023. Instead, Sony's live-action/CGI musical comedy Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile — based on the book series by Bernard Waber, will now debut on Oct. 7 from November 18, 2022. ## "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" is the first of a two-part sequel to 2018's "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse", which pushed the boundaries of animation and collected a best animated Oscar. It is easily the most-anticipated Spider-Man animated movie. ## Meanwhile, the second part of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse", has landed a release date of March 29, 2024. Well, one Florida man has gone way beyond that and watched "Spider-Man: No Way Home" 292 times, and sets a new world record of watching a single movie most times in theaters. ## A person, named Ramiro Alanis, has seen the global box office blockbuster 292 times, which is 30 days of seeing the movie when you add it all up, according to the Guinness Book Of World Records (via comic book).
