On Monday (October 6), the makers officially announced that LIK was postponed and it will now be released in December instead. Despite a record opening and strong initial buzz, the film couldn't sustain the same momentum in the following weeks, leading to an average overall performance. However, poor critics' reviews and mixed word of mouth proved to be a roadblock in its promising theatrical run, which ended before its desired result. The gangster action drama was eyed as the potential 1000 crores grosser, but it could only manage a little over 500 crores worldwide. The final collection, however, is not a small total by any means, but the movie needed to score much more to be termed as a box office hit.
