Update On Original Plans For AEW Triple Threat Ladder Match

In the days following the ladder match on Dynamite, reports surfaced that the Hardy Boyz didn't even plan to actually compete in the match. ## Two days after the ladder match, Brian Alvarez revealed that even before Jeff Hardy's DUI arrest, The Hardy Boys were to be attacked and kicked out of the Triple Threat title ladder match. ## However, Fightful has learned that this is not accurate. Prior to the DUI arrest, the Hardy Boyz were still slated for the match on the June 15 AEW Dynamite, but Jeff Hardy's performance was going to be contingent on him being cleared and able to be in the ring. ## If he wasn't cleared and given the go ahead, he would have been written out of the match, but Matt Hardy was to still compete, per AEW sources. ## As of now, there is no update on plans for Matt Hardy moving forward. Winner Takes All IWGP And ROH World Tag Team Title Match Set For AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

FTR vs Jeff Cobb & Great O-Khan vs Roppongi Vice in a Winner Takes All match, set for Forbidden Door. ## During the June 17th edition of AEW Rampage, it was revealed that the IWGP and ROH Tag Team Titles would line up in the winner of an all-three-way match with ROH Tag Champions FTR facing IWGP Tag Champions Jeff Cobb and the Great-O-Khan and Roppongi Vice (Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero). ## Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler defeated The Briscoes to win the tag titles at the ROH Supercard of Honor from on April 1, 2022. While United Empire's Cobb and Great-O-Khan won the IWGP Tag Team Titles at NJPW Dominion on June 12 from BULLET CLUB (Bad Luck Fale & Chase Owens). ## AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door is set to go down on June 26. Two Huge Matches Set For AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door

Two more matches have been announced for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. ## First, Will Osprey is set to take on Orange Cassidy. Following Osprey's victory over Dax Harwood on Dynamite, United Empire came out and attacked FTR, Rocky Romero, and Trent Beretta. Cassidy even came out of the odds by coming face-to-face with Osprey before the NJPW star backed out. ## The bout for the 26 June event was officially announced on the night by Tony Khan. ## Additionally, Thunder Rosa will defend her AEW Women's Championship against Tony Storm. On Dynamite, Storm defeated Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. , which took out Thunder Rosa on the podium. Tony Khan Reveals The Decision To Create AEW All-Atlantic Championship

AEW unveiled the AEW All-Atlantic Championship On the June 8, 2022, episode of Dynamite which is to be a secondary championship for the men's division. Despite its name seemingly centering on countries around the Atlantic, the company announced that the championship "represents the AEW Fans watching around the world in over 130 countries". ## The inaugural champion will be crowned in a four-way match to be held at the AEW×NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event on June 26, which is being co-produced with the Japanese promotion, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). ## In a recent interview with ComicBook, AEW President Tony Khan justified the reasoning for the new title, which, as the introductory video noted last week, will represent the AEW fans watching in over 130 countries. ## “…So for the international fans and for the international wrestlers on the roster, I felt like it would create more opportunities,” Khan stressed. “But I also don’t think this title or these opportunities are exclusive to the international wrestlers. Video: Three Officers Pulled Guns On Jeff Hardy During Stop

TMZ has issued a video of Jeff Hardy's arrest. His report states that the three officers were apparently so concerned about his state when they pulled up to him that they pulled out their guns and pointed at him. ## The horrific scene was captured on police video obtained by TMZ Sports, just before the 44-year-old wrestler was arrested in Volusia County for a DUI by the Florida Highway Patrol. ## In the footage, you can see when police stopped Hardy's white Dodge Charger on the freeway. Jeff is then asked if he knows why several 911 calls were made about his erratic driving. Jeff then apparently told the police that he drank double shots of Fireballs before driving. Hardy also told the police that a doctor's appointment had been made for his head for a brain scan. ## Hardy, though, seemingly didn't comply which caused each officer on the scene to pull out their firearm. ## Fortunately, Hardy eventually opened his car door without issue and the officers were able to get him out of his vehicle without incident. In the footage, you can see Hardy wearing a Jacksonville Jaguars T-shirt -- was not steady on his feet and mumbled and whispered responses to the officers. ## Hardy was eventually told that he was "under arrest for the offense of DUI." According to police documents, Hardy blew .291 and .294 in the breath analyzer test. AEW Star Accused Of Sandbagging Marina Shafir During AEW Dynamite Match

Former Ring of Honor star Eric Stevens, who retired from wrestling in 2020, wrote the following about the Thunder Rosa vs Marina Shafir match from the June 8, 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite. ## “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a match where somebody so obviously tried to make themselves look better than their opponent by sandbagging and no selling, but I just saw a perfect example of it on Dynamite. ## It might just look like a bad match to the untrained eye but it’s pretty clear when somebody doesn’t want to play ball. Which sucks because it just makes you and your opponent look bad.” ## Former AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker as well as Marina liked the tweet from the person that was accusing Rosa of sandbagging during the match. ## This isn't the first time Rosa has been accused of this since Ivelis discussed her issues with Rosa in an interview with Chris Van Vliet last September. She recalled that Lucha Underground had the same issues, but when they worked on Indies together, it didn't happen again, so she thought Rosa had learned her lesson. However, when they worked on Dynamite in a September 2020 match, their match was broken. ## This is not how it works in professional wrestling. MJF Removed From The AEW Roster Page

MJF has been one of the hot topics right on the internet with what he has spoken on the recent edition of AEW Dynamite. ## While Addressing fans and followers of the game, the MJF also lashed out at AEW President Tony Khan which is known as one of the greatest, he has ever delivered. ## At the end of the speech, before he was cut off the microphone, MJF demanded that Khan fire him and called him a f*cking mark. ## As you can see right up here, MJF has now officially been cut off from the AEW Roster Page. As well as his merchandise being pulled from ShopAEW.com.## It should be noted that Just to avoid any further strike from MJF, AEW went to a commercial break, but what fans didn’t see on television was CM Punk coming out and running MJF off. ## Still out of acceptance with the multiple reports stating that MJF did go off the script. However, this could be a work played by AEW. As the CM Punk thing follows up, This appears to be the direction that the promotion is headed for MJF as Punk is expected to defend the AEW World Heavyweight Title against Hiroshi Tanahashi at the Forbidden Door PPV later this month. AEW Dynamite: Road Rager made official for June 15, 2022, and will see a Hair vs. Hair match! ## At Double Or Nothing The Jericho Appreciation Society (Chris Jericho, Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, Angelo Parker, and Matt Menard) defeated The Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley), Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz. During the June 1 episode of AEW Dynamite Eddie Kingston approached the faction and challenged them to a Blood & Guts Match. ## Eddie Kingston interrupted with William Regal behind him. None of his friends are there, but he's fine with fighting them all right here. He offered Regal a chance to say where he wants to fight them, and Regal obliged: "Blood & Guts!" ## Kingston ran down to the ring but was immediately beaten down by the J.A.S. Ortiz appeared behind Jericho and beat him down with a sack before cutting off some of Jericho's hair. ## Jericho was livid about his hair and accepted Kingston's challenge for Blood & Guts, on one condition: Jericho vs. Ortiz, Hair vs. Hair.
