AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022 Results: FTR Wins The IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles

The ROH and IWGP Tag Team Titles were on the line in a Winner Take All Match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. ## FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) defeated Roppongi Vice (Trent Beretta & Rocky Romero) and United Empire (Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan) to win the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships and retain the ROH World Tag Team Championships. ## As noted, Dax Harwood sustained an injury early into the bout and he was taken to the back by medical personnel, leaving Cash Wheeler alone to defend their titles. This is despite the fact that he left AEW and is now in WWE.## “This may come as a surprise to people, but Cody is still in the game. I was very passionate about making sure his legacy and position within the company were preserved. We’ve built this game from the ground up, starting everything from scratch. That’s why I thought this game could coincide with the birth of this company. You get to experience AEW from the beginning, from day one. The game is going to reflect a lot of that, even though our locker room is ever-changing.”## It should be noted that Cody Rhodes was not included for WWE 2K22 for several reasons. There were so many people on both sides that were agreeing with me. It just didn’t open the communication. Four-way for AEW All-Atlantic title is set for Forbidden Door! ## Malakai Black defeated Penta Oscuro to stack the fourth spot in the Forbidden Door title match. PAC went head-to-head against Black after the match. A video then aired with Miro saying he would send everyone to meet his producer at the Forbidden Door. ## Pac was the first player to qualify for the title match by defeating Buddy Matthews. We're going to announce more matches tonight on Dynamite for this big event," he said.
