During the June 8th, 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite, AEW announced the creation of a new title!

This title has been created to celebrate the global reach of AEW and over the next several weeks, there will be qualifying matches, leading to a Fatal 4-Way match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 26 to crown the inaugural champion.

As noted, After the introduction of the belt, PAC took on Buddy Matthews in a qualifying match for the All-Atlantic Championship tournament.

The first champion will be crowned at Forbidden Door on Sunday, June 26.
