WWE Announces The Seventh Participant In The Women's 2023 Royal Rumble Match

The seventh participant for the 2023 Women's Royal Rumble match has been announced. ## The announcement was placed during the 30th anniversary of Monday Night Raw that Emma will participate in Saturday's women's Rumble match. Emma declared her intentions to enter on this past Saturday's SmackDown LowDown episode on Peacock in a backstage promo segment. ## However, the entrant was officially confirmed at the time of her intention to enter. Now, WWE announced on Raw that Emma is officially entered into Saturday's women's Rumble match. ## She now joins Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Raquel Rodriguez, Shayna Baszler, and Zelina Vega. 'Not Guilty… For Now' Roman Reigns Passes The Verdict On Sami Zayn

On a truly historic Raw is XXX, Brock Lesnar returned to prevent Bobby Lashley from regaining the United States Title from Austin Theory. Plus, Becky Lynch and Bayley’s Steel Cage battle never got started, DX and Imperium had a face-to-face, Sami Zayn was found not guilty in his Tribal Court, Bray Wyatt and Undertaker dealt with LA Knight and so much more! ## The show opened up with a Tribal Court of Sami Zayn. Paul Heyman told Reigns, “ECW is dead — and I wish the same for Sami Zayn.” The crowd booed and chanted for Sami. Heyman called Zayn a Judas and a betrayer who has conspired with Kevin Owens since day one. ## Heyman showed up several clips as evidence against Zayn. Following the allegations shown via video footage, Zayn emphasized how much it hurt and said, “my defence is I have no defence.” He tossed the mic and sat down. ## Reigns was inflamed that Zayn had so much ego he wouldn’t even defend himself after letting him into his family. Reigns called upon Solo Sikoa. Solo went for the Samoa Spike, but Jey Uso stopped him and presented his own clips as evidence that Zayn isn't guilty. ## Finally, Reigns determined that Zayn was not guilty — for now and gave him another massive chance to prove it at Royal Rumble when he collides with Kevin Owens. ## However, it didn't take Zayn to the Royal Rumble, he once again showed up his loyalty during The Usos Vs Damian Priest & Dominik Mysterio for Rag Tag Team Championships. WWE Had Plan For Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs. Roman Reigns

There are rumors that The Rock might not be coming back, and WWE has had some plans in the event that doesn't happen, and some HUGE pitches. ## According to Fightful Select, a pitch was made internally for a "huge opponent" for Stone Cold Steve Austin, which was told was Roman Reigns. At the very least, Austin's camp was approached with the possibility of it happening, which was said to have been for "enormous" money. ## In the Summer of 2022, Fightful reported that Austin was approached with a deal that wasn't as appealing from a financial standpoint. Some in WWE claimed they hadn't heard back on whether the more recent offer was accepted or not, and another source indicated that another "big name" was offered in the months prior. ## As of early December, WrestleMania title matches (as reported by WrestlingNews.co) were slated as Drew McIntyre/Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins one night and TBD/Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns another night. ## Austin finally agreed to make an in-ring return at least year's WrestleMania, where he main evented against Kevin Owens. It feels like, the fans will be left high and dry who bought expectantly bought tickets to watch The Rock at the "Grendious of them all." ## There were some early confirmations that The Rock won't have time to get into the kind of shape, he feels he needs to have to do a main event match with Roman Reigns. ## Elsewhere, there was speculation that the great one would make a surprise appearance during Roman Reigns’ Acknowledgement Ceremony that was scheduled for Monday’s 30th anniversary of WWE RAW but the segment has been dropped. ## Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com who has broken a ton of wrestling scoops discussed the situation on Wrestling Observer Radio. ## “Anything is possible, and it’s certainly possible he could be keeping everything a secret from all by one or two people, but the word is that he doesn’t have the time to get in the shape….All along, if he has the time to do it, he will do it. Put it this way, most are of the opinion that it’s not happening, and it’s been for months. Those on the inside thought the odds were not good based on that thing because (his schedule)… There’s no such thing as 100% because it’s a very secretive business. Within the company, it’s not looking good.” ## “It was known by insiders as the probable thing for a while. It’s not like something he all of a sudden gave the final word on [a] Thursday, like ‘Hey, I’m not doing it.’ It’s like they were aware. Two Tag Team Tournament Semi-Final are set for next Friday's SmackDown. ## January 20 was the start of a tournament to crown new number-one contenders for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships. The first-round matchup saw Drew McIntyre and Sheamus battling and defeating Viking Raiders. ## On January 27, Drew & Sheamus will take on Hit Row. Ashante Adonis & Top Dolla defeated Angel & Humberto, Los Lotharios, to advance in the tournament. ## Plush, Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci will face Legado Del Fantasma. More WWE Legends Confirmed For WWE Raw Is XXX, Updated List

On January 23, 2023, WWE will visit the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia for the 30th anniversary of one of the longest weekly-running wrestling shows of all time. ## Already confirmed for the show are, The Undertaker, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Jerry Lawler, Hulk Hogan, Road Dogg, X-Pac, Triple H, Theodore Long, and Ron Simmons. ## Now, during the January 20th episode of SmackDown, WWE confirmed a few more legends. In a graphic on Friday's SmackDown show, WWE announced that DDP, Ted DiBiase, Mike "Irwin R. Schyster" Rotunda, Alundra Blayze, The Godfather, and Jimmy Hart will appear on Monday's Raw is XXX 30th Anniversary show. ## Former stars Rikishi and Samu are also set for the show as part of the Bloodline acknowledgment ceremony. After months of sneak attacks, betrayals, brawls, and beatdowns, Roman Reigns, and Kevin Owens will finally put pen to paper for their title match at Royal Rumble. ## The fans expected to have some fireworks during the contract signing and they met with expectations. They did the contract signing just about 2 minutes long. Owens landed out of nowhere and ripped Roman Reigns with a Stunner and then ruined the party for the rest of The Bloodline members expect Sami Zayn who wasn't just there. ## Owens ended the segment with a massive Pop-Up Powerbomb to Roman Reigns through the table. Owens signed the contract and posed in the ring. Sami Zayn ran out, and they had a brief stare-down. Owens turned around and ran off through the crowd. ## Owens watched from the crowd as Sikoa, and The Usos checked on Reigns. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that The Rock has indicated that he won't have time to get into the kind of shape, he feels he needs to have to do a main event match with Roman Reigns. ## “We were told that unless he changes his mind in the next few days, since a deadline for Mania plans is coming, that he’s indicated he won’t have time to get into the kind of shape, he feels he needs to be in to do a main event match with Roman Reigns but kept the door open for something in the future. Of course, it is a possibility that it’s something being kept a secret from everyone," Dave Meltzer noted this. ## Meltzer added, “I don’t know that he’s officially turned it down, but the only indication is that it was considered less likely than a few months ago.” ## It should be noted that WWE recently released some new merchandise for The Rock on WWE.com. Sami Zayn Comments On Potentially Winning The WWE Championship

Sami Zayn began his wrestling career in 2002, working for various independent promotions in Canada and the United States before signing with WWE in 2013. ## Zayn is known for his high-flying and technical wrestling style, and has won several championships throughout his career, including the NXT Championship and Intercontinental Championship. He is also known for his on-screen rivalry with fellow wrestler Kevin Owens, which has been a prominent storyline in WWE programming for several years. ## Zayn is one of the top aspects right now in WWE and is shown as a member of The Bloodline which has highly been acclaimed by critics, peers, and fans around the world. Though Zayn is an Honorary Uce and serves the reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Zayn knows his performances have landed him close to potentially winning the title. ## Zayn recently spoke with Detroit News and revealed his aspiration to win the WWE title at some point. ## "When you get this close and you're in the in the periphery of the WWE title, it makes you think, well, I'm already here, maybe winning it's not totally unrealistic," Zayn told The Detroit News. "That would for sure be like a cherry on top of everything else. If it happens, awesome. If it doesn't happen, it still would have all been awesome. I mean really, since I can't even tell you how early into my career, probably three years in, I remember thinking, 'well, this is it, it can't get better than this.' ## And then somehow each year, it just kept getting bigger and bigger," Zayn says. "You would think I would learn at this point to stop saying it, but I am also content with everything I've done. I don't want to be the type of person who feels like, oh, there's a void unless I get this next thing, and if I don't accomplish this, I'm a failure or my career was a failure. Whatever happens, I'm good. It could end tomorrow, and knock on wood, I really hope it doesn't, but I would feel very complete and very satisfied with everything I've ever done.
