Predicting WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 Match Card

This year Montreal is all set to host the 2023 Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View event on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Bell Center. This also marks the first major WWE event to be held in Montreal since Breaking Point in September 2009. ## As of writing, nothing has been set as confirmed for the event, but we do have some of our own takeaways on the possible match card. ## WWE Elimination Chamber Match: Edge & Beth Phoenix Vs. Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley## With the event, just a few weeks away from now on and WWE had already booked a match with Edge and his wife Beth Phoenix. Edge and Beth Pheonix both made their respective return at WWE Royal Rumble. At the event, Edge (No. 24) made his return, disposing of Bálor and Priest, but The Judgment Day got the last laugh when Priest and Bálor helped Dominik eliminate The Rated-R-Superstar. ## Edge continued his assault on The Judgment Day until Rhea Ripley blindsided Edge with a clothesline, but Beth Phoenix returned to obliterate The Nightmare with a massive Spear. So to speak of that angle, WWE is looking to lock down at match at Elimination Chamber. ## WWE Elimination Chamber Match: The Bloodline (Jimmy Usos, Solo, Roman Reigns) Vs. Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Jey Usos ## The Bloodline (Jimmy Usos, Solo, Roman Reigns) Vs. Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Jey Usos will be one of the greatest tag team matches in the history of WWE if they really pull off his plan at the event. ## From Sami Zayn's betrayal to Jey Uso's disagreement with The Bloodline makes the storyline crystal clear that WWE Elimination Chamber event will see a major tag team match with The Bloodline (Jimmy Usos, Solo, Roman Reigns) taking on Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Jey Usos. ## To make it even more probable, Jey Uso took to Instagram and revealed that he is looking to way out of The Bloodline which definitely leaves all of us assuming nothing, but a match between The Bloodline and Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn. ## Sami Zayn Vs. Roman Reigns ## Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn is now as confirmed as it can be for the Feb 18 Elimination Chamber show main event in Montreal. ## At the Royal Rumble on January 28, 2023, Reigns put his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line and scored another successful victory over Kevin Owens for the fourth time. After the match, The whole Bloodline faction came together to pull off a major beat-down on Kevin Owens. ## Sami Zayn was intervening himself until the chair was brought into the ring with Roman Reigns offering Sami Zayn to unleash chair shots on Kevin Owens. Finally, being a true friend of Owens, Sami Zayn instead turned on Roman and the Bloodline by hitting Reigns with the chair. ## After showing his true presence for Owens, Sami offered himself against The Bloodline and they just didn't resist brutalizing Sami Zayn. For sure, this was a well-placed work that was only played off to lead something at Elimination Chamber. ## According to Dave Meltzer Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn is now confirmed for Elimination Chamber. The two Superstars put on an intense and physical match, with Lesnar using his strength and power to try and win the championship. Despite Lesnar's best efforts, Reigns was able to hit Lesnar with a spear and retain his championship.## Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre (Survivor Series 2020): At Survivor Series 2020, Reigns faced off against the Scottish Psychopath Drew McIntyre. The two Superstars put on an incredible match, with McIntyre using his strength and power to try and win the championship. However, Reigns was able to overcome McIntyre and retain his Universal Championship.## Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso (Hell in a Cell 2020): At Hell in a Cell 2020, Reigns faced off against his own family member Jey Uso. The two Superstars had an intense and personal match, with Uso using his high-flying skills to try and win the championship. However, Reigns was able to defeat Uso and retain his Universal Championship. ## Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens (Royal Rumble 2021): At the Royal Rumble 2021, Reigns faced off against Kevin Owens. At the Royal Rumble on 28 January, Ripley appeared at ringside during the men’s Royal Rumble match to assist her stablemates in their attack on Edge, only to be speared by Edge’s wife, Beth Phoenix. ## Later that night, Ripley won the women’s Royal Rumble match by last eliminating Liv Morgan. With this victory, Ripley became the fourth wrestler (after Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, and Edge) and the first female to win it from the first position. ## By winning the Royal Rumble match, she now stacks the option to challenge either SmackDown Women's Championship or Raw Women's Championship at WrestleMania 39. ## While speaking at Royal Rumble Post-Show Press Conference, Ripley spoke on her decision to choose the championship. ## "You know, I'm gonna have a lot of thinking to do before WrestleMania. I'm very very torn by this decision. I've stepped in the ring with Bianca many times and I absolutely love every second in the ring with her. I think that we bring outside of each other that not many people see and we really take each other to the absolute limit, but then again, it's the same with Charlotte. ## Charlotte also holds the Smackdown Women's Championship. So if I would accuse her I cannot only beat her for the first time ever in this thing was met which is something that I really really want to do, but I also become a grand slam Champion if I do. So I have a lot of thinking to do I've got the younger someone who I've come up in NXT with and I have a lot to prove because she's beating me a lot of the time and I've beaten her and we really want to prove to see who the EST of WWE really is but then I have someone like Charlotte who I've stepping the ring with at WrestleMania before and I lost my Championship, too. ## But I want my Redemption at the same time. So, I'm not sure where I'm gonna go yet, but I don't know thinking to do. At Royal Rumble Sami Zayn attacked Roman Reigns with a chair following his match against Kevin Owens in the main event. ## HEARTBREAK 💔🎥 @WWE | #RoyalRumblepic.twitter.com/zSbEfEFeqT— WWE on FOX (@WWEonFOX) January 29, 2023 ## The longstanding rivalry between Reigns and Owens spawned an incredible series of brutal Universal Title showdowns over the past few years, including a Steel Cage Match, a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match, and a Last Man Standing Match. ## This year at Royal Rumble KO once again found himself at odds with The Head of the Table and The Bloodline. However, Owens once again wasn't able to steal the gold, but he did get back his friendship with Sami Zayn who was aligned with The Bloodline for a long time. ## After the match, Reigns attacked Owens. The Usos gave him the 1D as Reigns put his arm around Zayn. The Usos put a chair over Owens’ head and neck as Solo Sikoa gave him a running hip attack. They handcuffed Owens’ hands to the top rope and the Usos repeatedly superkicked Owens. Reigns grabbed a chair and went to hit a helpless (and already dead) Owens but Zayn stepped in his way. Zayn told Reigns he was already the champion and didn’t need to go that far. Reigns instead offered the chair to Zayn. ## Reigns screamed at Zayn to hit Owens. Reigns said he loved Zayn and he was in their family but if he didn’t want to do it, he should “go and do Jackass shit.” Reigns got in Zayn’s face and told him to do it. ## Zayn finally did it. He nailed Reigns in the back with the chair. This got a huge pop but it was quelled after Jimmy superkicked Zayn. Solo and Jimmy beat the crap out of Zayn. ## The crowd chanted for Jey who just watched. The Bloodline encouraged him to join but instead, Jey walked off. The crowd cheered Jey who walked down the aisle, obviously torn up by his decision. Reigns beat the shit out of Zayn with the chair as the crowd booed. Dominik Mysterio Confirmed For WWE Royal Rumble Match

Another entrant for the 2023 Men's Royal Rumble match has been confirmed. ## While posting a video on their YouTube channel, WWE announced that Dominik Mysterio will make it to the Men's Royal Rumble. In the video, Rhea Ripley and Mysterio were shown training for the Royal Rumble. ## Rhea Ripley has already been declared for the match, In the training video, Dominik promised to throw his father Rey Mysterio out of the ring during Saturday's Rumble match. ## As of writing, 16 out of 30 participants have been declared. This year's event will mark a record-setting fourth time San Antonio has hosted the Royal Rumble and a third time in Alamodome. The first time was in 1997 when the Texas rattlesnake won his first, Rumble Match. ## Over the weeks, there has been a lot of confusion on who would win the 2023 Royal Rumble to earn a chance to challenge the WWE Undisputed Universal champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. ## Dave Meltzer also provided an update on the likelihood of Reigns’ opponent being ‘The Great One’, and also noted that there isn’t currently a guarantee that whoever faces Reigns at WrestleMania will be taking the titles from him. ## “I don’t know that they’re willing to have anybody beat Roman Reigns. Obviously Dwayne Johnson wasn’t beating Roman Reigns to win the title. Obviously Cody Rhodes’ name was in the mix and the way that storyline was, he almost had to win. But that doesn’t mean he would have won. I think people have an idea (of the Royal Rumble winner) as far as, it’s either gonna be Cody, it’s gonna be Sami, or they’re gonna bring in an outsider. Everything that’s happened in the last week or so, I don’t think it’s Dwayne. There have been a number of changes being discussed over the past several weeks for Roman Reigns' opponent at WrestleMania, which should be exciting for fans. ## For a year now, WWE were sticking with Roman Reigns vs. The Rock at the grandiose stage of them all, but it seems like the plans would have to be shrugged off with The Rock now being the less probability. For sure, WWE always keeps the backup and I guess, they must be done forging the power-packed opponent in the form of Cody Rhodes who is heavily rumored to be the 2023 Men's Royal Rumble Winner. ## However, While going through potential Royal Rumble winners, Dave Meltzer believes this year's WrestleMania match should be Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn. ## "WrestleMania should be Sami Zayn. I mean, I think it's it's like I'm watching this thing and it's like so clear in my head and it's that clear. You know, and again even I didn't study the ratings, I would say that, but studying the ratings makes it obvious. You know that he's the guy, you know, I mean Cody can be the guy and in you know, you have to rush to Cody. ## Anyway, maybe he could headline next year's WrestleMania. You could headline SummerSlam and Sami Zayn or you know, there's a million ways to get to Cody which at some point, you know at some point they should get to Cody too.
