While SmackDown airs live on Fox Sports in Mexico and across Central and South America since 2014. ## WWE Friday Night SmackDown, February 16, 2024 Play-By-Play Results ## Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Kevin Owens vs. Dominik Mysterio ## The bell rings and the match kicks off, they lock up, Owens with a shoulder tackle, but Dominik doesn't go down, Dominik tries the ropes, but this time Owens with a massive Shoulder tackle to dash him down, and Dominik gets out of the ring. He gets back into the and Owens lands a deep cut followed by a Deep Arm drag, Dominik once again gets out of the ring before Owens makes the cover. Dominik comes back and takes control with an Arm drag.## Owens with a Clothesline and then sends him over the top ropes. Owens goes for a dive, but Dominik sides up. They now fight outside. Meanwhile, we see R-Truth confront Owens. Dominik out of nowhere and rips the befits. Dominik gets him back into the ring and goes for a cover, but no win there.## Back from the break, We see Dominik is taking over Owens, while, Truth is outside cheering for Owens. Owens fights his way back, Dominik with a slam for a near fall. They exchange punches, Owens with a boot followed by heavy right hands. Dominik now eats a vicious short line clothesline. ## Owens is smashing Dominik. Owens with a clothesline outside followed by a Swanton on the ground, he throws Dominik back into the ring and follows up with a cannonball and goes to the top for a Frog splash for the cover, but Dominik kicks out there. ## Dominik gets back on his feet, Owens goes for a Pop-up Powerbomb, but Dominik jumps over and lands an X-factor. Dominik with multiple suplexs, while Owens also lands three back-to-back. Dominik with a near fall there looks to deliver a Frog splash, but Owens sides up. Owens goes up to the top and goes for a Swanton for near fall. ## Owens looking for the Stunner, Mysterio with a kick, sets Owens between the ropes, Dominik with a 619 for near fall. Dominik asks Truth to give him a chair. Truth brings up one, but instead, he sits. on it. Owens with a Superkick, followed by a pop-up Powerbomb for the cover, and wins the match. ## WINNER: Kevin Owens ## Following the match, Truth joins the celebration. ## We are in the back with Kayla Braxton and Drew McIntyre. LA Knight also joins in there, and Kayla leaves. Both superstars are entangled in an argument, the referees come in there to separate them. ## WWE Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match: Zelina Vega vs. Tiffany Stratton ## The bell rings, and Tiffany wastes no time, grabbing Vega in a tight waist lock and pushing her away with a flourish. Tiffany muscles her way to the corner, throwing in a sharp elbow before Vega catches her with a swift head scissors takedown. Tiffany fights back, connecting with a knee to Vega's midsection and following it up with a decisive slam. ## But she misses a potential stomp, allowing Vega to capitalize with a well-placed leg sweep. Sent tumbling to the ring apron, Tiffany tries to regain her footing, but Vega delivers a punishing kick, driving her off completely. With an arm drag off the apron, Vega sends Tiffany crashing into the steel barrier below. Scaling the turnbuckles, Vega takes flight with a stunning moonsault onto the vulnerable Tiffany. ## We see, Carlito, Wilde, and Cruz mysteriously appear ringside, hinting at potential interference later. Vega counters with a soaring clothesline followed by a swift leg sweep, sending Tiffany tumbling into the ropes. Vega unleashes a breathtaking satellite DDT, nearly securing the victory. ## Tiffany with a powerful kick and a breathtaking cartwheel leading into a near-fall Alabama slam. Tiffany prepares her signature "Prettiest Moonsault Ever," but Vega anticipates the move, forcing Tiffany to rethink her strategy. Two More Matches Added To 1/19/24 WWE SmackDown, Updated Lineup

WWE has just revealed two additional matches for the January 19th episode of SmackDown in Atlanta, Georgia. ## In a recent social media update, WWE announced a six-man tag team match that will see the LWO's Carlito, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro facing off against Santos Escobar, Angel Garza, and Humberto Carrillo. ## Furthermore, Plush and Pretty Deadly are set to take on Butch and Tyler Bate in a rematch from the New Year's Revolution episode of SmackDown. Last week's show featured a teaser for Butch's return to his Pete Dunne ring name. ## The show will also feature a contract signing between Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles as they gear up for their battle at the Royal Rumble. Roman says he is here to make it all right again.## Solo says he will fix it. He says he will fix everything.## Nick Aldis is in the ring with a table, four more microphones, and a contract.## Nick welcomes everyone to Smackdown and the official contract signing for the Title Match at the Royal Rumble.## Nick brings out AJ Styles first.## AJ signs the contract.## LA Knight is the second to come to the ring for the signing.## Knight signs the contract while Nick gestures to AJ to stay back.## Nick brings out the final challenger, Randy Orton.## Randy signs the contract.## The final man needed to sign the contract to make the match official is introduced by Nick Aldis.## Roman's music plays but Roman Reigns is not the man who makes his way onto the stage.## Paul Heyman comes out and he introduces himself. Paul tells Nick that he and Roman just arrived at the arena and have not had a chance to submit this contract to an attorney or for Paul to look at the contract. Paul says Roman will not sign that contract tonight.## Nick asks Paul to confirm that Roman is not signing the contract. He says that is absolutely fine. Paul says he has three signatures, and he will make it a Triple Threat Match for the vacant Universal Championship.## Paul turns around and makes his way to the ring. Paul gets on the apron and he tells Nick that he cares deeply about him. He says he halfway respects and admires the mediocre job he has done in charge of Smackdown. Paul says Nick looks really good in your Paul Heyman wannabe suits. No matter how you look, there is no way you can sell this to the Board of Directors or the fine upstanding people of Atlanta, or Roman, who runs things. Roman should be defending the title in a one-on-one match at the Royal Rumble.## Knight tells Paul to shut up. He says this should be a one-on-one match because he had Roman beat at Crown Jewel and his cousins helped him keep the title. Knight says this should be a rematch but these two Johnny Come Latelies show up after a few months off.## AJ says the Bloodline tried to end his career, and you walked over his body to get the match, and you lost. You are lucky to be in this match.## Knight says if anyone has a horseshoe up his keister, it has to be AJ. Knight should watch the bass in his voice when he talks to Knight and worry about Roman.## AJ says Knight understands they are not fighting Roman; they are fighting each other.## Knight says he comes in and pins Roman to become champion. He does not care if he has to walk over your body. It won't be the Bloodline leaving you laying; it will be him.## AJ punches Knight, and they fight to the floor and up the aisle.## Aldis tries to stop them, and officials come out to break things up.## AJ gets free and goes after Knight. They fight to the back.## Randy and Paul watch from the ring, and Randy grabs Paul by his tie. ## Randy tells Paul that he sees what Paul is trying to do and it isn't going to work because tonight he will drop Solo, and he will beat him in the middle of this ring. After he does this, he will reintroduce Roman to the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment RKO. ## Logan Paul walks in the back.## We are back, and AJ Styles stops Nick Aldis. He says he wants LA Knight tonight, and he gives AJ the match. ## Carlito, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz del Toro (with Zelina Vega) vs Santos Escobar, Angel Garza, and Humberto Carrillo ## Carlito initiates the action, and Angel sneakily hits him from behind. Carlito responds with a chop to Angel. Cruz enters, delivering kicks to Angel, but Angel stomps on Cruz's foot and lands punches. Cruz fights back with punches and a kick, managing to avoid Angel in the corner and execute a springboard head scissors. Wilde tags in, and they execute a double back elbow. Cruz follows up with a slingshot hip toss onto Angel for a near fall. Wilde sidesteps Humberto, hits a wrist lock takedown, and a dropkick. Santos heads to the floor, and Wilde and Cruz execute flip dives onto Angel and Humberto.## After the commercial break, Santos tags in, and Humberto pulls off a slingshot blockbuster from a Gory Special position. Santos follows with a drop kick for a near fall. Humberto chops Angel, and Santos tags in. They press Wilde over their heads and drop him onto Santos' knee for a near fall. Santos delivers a back heel kick and a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Humberto and Angel tag in, kicking Wilde in the corner. Angel lands a drop kick as Wilde crawls to his corner. Humberto tags in, applying a reverse chin lock. Wilde counters with a jawbreaker and a satellite DDT. Angel pulls Carlito and Cruz off the apron to prevent a tag. Wilde lands on his feet from a belly-to-back suplex attempt. Carlito tags in, delivering punches to everyone. Carlito knees Humberto, follows up with a clothesline, and executes a drop kick to Angel. Humberto knocks Angel to the floor, and Carlito hits a spinebuster for a near fall. ## Humberto delivers a springboard round kick for a near fall, but Cruz breaks it up. Santos kicks Cruz, Wilde lands a super kick on Santos, and Angel hits a super kick on Wilde. Carlito kicks Humberto and executes a lungblower, but Santos makes a blind tag and secures the three-count with a rollup. ## WINNER: Santos Escobar, Humberto Carrillo, and Angel Garza ## In the backstage interview with Pretty Deadly, Kayla Braxton asks them about their upcoming match against Tyler and Butch and whether they feel more confident facing them tonight. Elton straightforwardly states that there won't be any surprises tonight. Kit mentions that they've been studying tapes of Tyler and Butch, considering them pretty smart guys. Elton adds that they've never been more prepared. ## Moving on to a scene with Bobby Lashley, Montez, and Angelo, Lashley questions if Final Testament has a plan. Montez responds by asserting that they're the ones consistently putting their opponents down. Angelo chimes in, cautioning not to be fooled by the suits, as they are the genuine monsters.
