Salman Khan To Start Shooting AR Murugadoss' 'Sikandar' from June 20

Mumbai, May 24 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is gearing up to start shooting for director AR Murugadoss' action drama Sikandar, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna in June this year. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the movie will be released on Eid 2025. ## According to a report by Mid-Day, Sikandar will go on floors on June 20 with a power-packed schedule in Mumbai. The pre-production was reportedly begun a few days ago and the makers are on track to start rolling it in June this year. ## Murugadoss is presently directing actor Sivakarthikeyan's Sk 23. It is said that the filmmaker wants to complete as much of SK23 as possible before Sikandar goes on floors and to avoid any delays, Murugadoss has assembled a dedicated team to expedite the completion of SK23. ## Salman Khan has already begun his preparations for the movie and it is said that the actor insists on performing the action sequences himself. Mumbai, May 22 - Aamir Khan's production venture Laapataa Ladies has become the second most-watched Indian movie of 2024 on Netflix and is likely to become the most-watched by the next week by crossing Hrithik Roshan's Fighter which is currently the most-watched title. ## Directed by Kiran Rao, Laapataa Ladies scored 2.6 million views during the week of May 13 - May 19 on Netflix and pushed its total viewership to 13.8 million in 24 days. It was the 5th most-watched non-English film worldwide during the same week. ## The comedy-drama crossed the viewership of Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal which scored 13.6 million views on Netflix. It is expected to remain in the top 10 in the next week as well and if this happens, it will be the most-watched Indian title of 2024 on the streamer. ## Ajay Devgn-fronted Shaitaan will also be looking to become the most-watched Indian film by next week. Superhit 'Shaitaan' Final Worldwide Box Office Collection

Mumbai, May 13 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's supernatural thriller Shaitaan has almost done with its theatrical run but not before emerging as a big box office success in India and worldwide. The movie has now been made available to stream online, after 8 weeks of theatrical run. ## Directed by Vikas Bahl, Shaitaan minted approximately 50 lakh in its 9th week (the first week after the OTT release) and it dropped further in the 10th weekend for just around 8 lakh net collection. Nonetheless, the movie has done more than it was once projected with a net collection of close to 150 crores. ## At the end of its 10th weekend, Shaitaan scored approximately 148 crores net (176 crores gross) which will more or less be its final total at the domestic box office. It is currently the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year domestically after Hrithik Roshan's Fighter. ## Overseas, the movie has grossed an estimated 37.50 crores, for worldwide approximately 213.50 crores gross. Again, it is the second highest-grossing Bollywood title of 2024 after Fighter which grossed over 350 crores worldwide. Shaitaan is easily one of the biggest box office successes of 2024 with total footfalls close to 90 lakh. Mumbai, May 10 - The heist comedy Crew starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon has topped 150 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, becoming just the third Bollywood movie of the year after Fighter and Shaitaan to achieve the feat. ## Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, the movie continues to score well in India due to the lack of competition.
