RRR Second Day AP/TG Gross Box Office Share: All-Time Record

Hyderabad, March 27 - SS Rajamouli's "RRR" is on a mission to rewrite box office history. The Ram Charan and Jr. NTR starrer, for the second day in a row, has shattered box office records, leaving the previous record holders behind by a huge margin. The period action drama film recorded 31.63 crores gross share collection in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, which is an all-time record on the second day. It has more than doubled "Baahubali 2's" 14.80 crores gross share on day 2 in 2017. "RRR" has also become the fastest movie ever to cross 100 crores gross share in AP/TG, reaching the milestone in just two days. Ram Pothineni's 'The Warriorr' Sets July 2022 Release Date In Theaters

Hyderabad, March 27 - Telugu star "Ram Pothineni" will be in the action with the upcoming Telugu-Tamil bilingual movie, "The Warriorr". The action thriller, directed by N. Lingusamy, is announced to release on July 14, 2022, in theaters worldwide. ## The film, produced by Srinivasa Chitturi under Srinivasa Silver Screen, marks RAPO's Tamil debut while director Lingusamy makes Telugu debut. Hyderabad, March 27 - The box office records are getting smashed left, right, and center, courtesy of the magnificent "RRR". The period action drama film, directed by SS Rajamouli, is leaving the previous record-holder, "Baahubali 2" way behind in Telugu states. As for the record, BB2 had scored 14.80 crores share on the second day in AP/TG and "RRR" broke this record in the Nizam area itself. Box Office: RRR Second Day Pan India Early Estimates

Hyderabad, March 26 - "RRR" has a super strong hold on the second day with the domestic gross total coming above 100 crores as per early estimates. After setting new box office records on an opening day, the SS Rajamouli-directed has done excellently well by holding the ground strongly for an estimated 90 crores net. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the period action drama film grossed an estimated 50-55 crores including 32-33 crores share on the second day. It had scored record-breaking 74.11 crores share on the first day. In the Hindi belt, "RRR" may score 32+ crores gross on day 2, including the 29-30 crores in Hindi alone while other states projected to score 20 crores. RRR vs Baahubali 2 Opening Day Worldwide Box Office Comparison

Hyderabad, March 26 - SS Rajamouli-directed "RRR" had a huge task in hand to perform on an opening day and it has not only performed successfully but also broked almost all the existing box office records for an Indian movie. The latest period action drama film got massively benefitted from the Telugu states governments' ticketing policy though. ## The movie was hugely hyped before the release and it justified the hype by proving to be a cinematic masterpiece. It has a direct competition with "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" (2017), which was also directed by SS Rajamouli. The historical action drama film had held the record of the biggest opening ever for an Indian movie at the worldwide box office, which has now been breached by "RRR" almost 5 years later. ## Comparing opening day biz of "RRR" and "Baahubali 2" - the latest movie has grossed 223 crores (new record) while BB2 minted 217 crores worldwide on the opening day. Domestically, "RRR" has scored 156 crores gross as compared to 153 crores of BB2 while overseas, the former has scored 67 crores against 65 crores of Prabhas-starrer. ## Thanks to the new policies, "RRR" also has an upper hand over "Baahubali 2" in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where Jr. NTR/Ram Charan film minted 102.50 crores while "Baahubali 2" had made way below but still good, 57 crores on the first day. However, in the Karnataka state, ATBB BB2 maintained its record of 19.50 crores against 14.50 crores of "RRR". In Tamil Nadu, "RRR" won the battle with a slight margin as it generated 10 crores against 9.25 crores of BB2.## "Baahubali 2" had grossed 1788 crores worldwide, in which, the Hindi collection was the biggest contributor with approx. 650 crores gross (India). This record is expected to remain unbeatable in the near future. "RRR" is unlikely to reach BB2's Hindi figure. In Hindi, BB2 had scored 52 crores gross on the first day while "RRR" could manage only 23.68 crores. Even in the Hindi belt, "RRR" is way behind BB2 on the first day as it scored only 25 crores as compared to 60.80 crores of BB2. ## Despite the advantage of higher ticket prices, one must admit that the "RRR" release has brought the Indian film industry to its strong feet. It had the biggest hurdle in the form of the covid-19 pandemic which was not the case with "Baahubali 2". Box Office: RRR (Hindi) Records A Big Jump On The Second Day

Mumbai, March 26 - The strong positive word of mouth has started showing the effect as "RRR" grows on the second day in Hindi after a very good opening day. The big-budget period action drama film, directed by SS Rajamouli, depends a lot on Hindi biz for its overall verdict. The opening day box office numbers (20.07 Cr.) came above industry projection and set things up nicely for the very good opening weekend. On its second day, "RRR" witnesses a jump of approx. 30% for an estimated 25-27 crores net, pushing total domestic net collection to approx. 46 crores for the Hindi version. Box Office: RRR Creates All-Time Highest Worldwide Opening Day Record For An Indian Movie

Hyderabad, March 26 - When Prabhas-fronted "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" was released in 2017, it became the first Indian movie to score over 100 crores gross for all languages. 2 years later, another Prabhas movie in the form of "Saaho" did the same but couldn't break "Baahubali 2" record.## And now, after almost 5 years, director SS Rajamouli's "RRR" has breached the fortress of his own directorial "Baahubali 2", and become the highest-grossing Indian movie of all time at the domestic as well overseas box office on the first day. ## The period action drama film netted 130 crores* in India on Friday, breaking "Baahubali 2's" record of 121 crores. In Telugu, the film earned 101.2 crores net, again becoming the biggest movie in the languages on its opening day. Baahubali 2 had generated 58 crores in Telugu on day 1 while "Saaho" made 60.40 crores. ## In Hindi, "RRR" had a very good opening day, scoring approx. 19 crores net.
