Mumbai, July 27 - The much-awaited trailer of Sunny Deol-fronted period action drama film "Gadar 2: The Katha Continues" was unveiled on July 26 during an event in Mumbai. Although the overall trailer received mixed talks, there are some goosebumps moments which has raised expectations. ## In the original "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha" (2001), there is an iconic scene where Sunny Deol uproot a handpump and current audiences were also expecting something similar in the sequel as well. Well, it seems the makers were aware of the fans' expectations and have kept a similar scene in "Gadar 2" which is surely going to turn theaters into stadiums.## There is a genuine anticipation for the movie and can be seen in the response to the trailer which is scoring huge viewership on YouTube as well as other social media platforms. On Zee Studios' YouTube channel, the "Gadar 2" trailer has scored 41 million views in just 24 hours and become one of the most-watched Hindi movie trailers of all time in the first 24 hours. CBFC Asks For Major Changes In Akshay Kumar-Starrer 'OMG 2': Report

Mumbai, July 26 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's social comedy-drama "OMG 2" is scheduled to release on August 11 but the makers are yet to receive the censor certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).## It was recently reported that the Examining Committee (EC) of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) referred the Akshay Kumar-starrer to the Revising Committee (RC) due to its religious content. It has been reported that CBFC is being very careful about the movie as it feels "OMG 2" content is slightly controversial.## Now, according to Bollywood Hungama, the Revising Committee has suggested several changes in the films, which the makers are not comfortable with. "In all, the RC has asked for 20 cuts. These include both visual and audio deletions. On top of it, they have also suggested the makers opt for an adults-only certification", the report says.## The makers, however, are reportedly not ready for these many changes as they believe that it'll affect the essence of the film. They are also not okay with an "A" certificate. After all, they feel that the topic of sex education should be seen by people of all ages. ## The makers have been putting their efforts to get the movie censored as soon as possible so that they could release the trailer and have an on-scheduled release. It is directed by Amit Rai and is produced by Cape of Good Films, Viacom18 Studios, and Wakaoo Films. Mumbai, July 18 - Actor Kartik Aaryan is back to winning ways with his latest musical romantic hit "Satyaprem Ki Katha" which marks the Bollywood debut of director Sameer Vidwans. The movie, also featuring Kiara Advani as the female lead, has grossed over 115 crores worldwide so far and still doing decent business at the box office. ## Both Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani are winning praise for their roles as Satyaprem aka Sattu and Katha. Now, according to TOI, Kartik is super impressed with director Sameer and has asked him to find another love story for him. ## It is said that the "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" actor is keen on reuniting with the director for another movie and if the report is to be believed, the filmmaker has already begun working on a good script. Mumbai, July 18 - Bollywood star Alia Bhatt is extending her association with producer Karan Johar as the duo is reportedly set to join hands for their 12th film together. Alia is currently gearing up for the release of Karan Johar's directorial "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani", also starring Ranveer Singh, which is slated to release on July 28. ## According to Pinkvilla, the SOTY actress will headline an action thriller film that will be produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and to be directed by Vasan Bala. The yet untitled project is said to be a jail-break story and is currently in the pre-production stage. ## "Alia will be seen playing one of the most challenging roles of her career in this movie, and she is excited to go on this new adventure and explore a genre she hasn't attempted before. Bala has written a cracking jailbreak story, and people who are aware of this project are already excited about it. Mumbai, July 17 - Director Sriram Raghavan's long-awaited drama thriller movie "Merry Christmas" starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi gets a new release date in theaters. This is the first time Katrina and Vijay are coming together on the silver screen. ## On Monday (July 17), the makers shared the first-look posters which have piqued audiences' interest. The cool-looking posters give the major vintage vibes with an intriguing tagline on the poster reads, "Raat jitni sageen hogi, subah utni rageen hogi".## The movie has been confirmed to release on December 15 this year, clashing with Sidharth Malhotra's "Yodha". Written and directed by Anup Thapa, the film is based on the true event of the Somnath invasion of Mahmud Ghazni. ## "The Battle Story of Somnath" is a multilingual project which will be released in twelve major Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Marathi. Filmmaker Rohit Shetty Opens Up On The Box Office Failure Of Ranveer Singh-Fronted 'Cirkus'

Mumbai, July 15 - Filmmaker Rohit Shetty takes the blame on himself for the box office failure of the comedy caper "Cirkus" starring Ranveer Singh in a double role. Released in December last year, the movie failed miserably to gross just around 60 crores, becoming the lowest-grossing film of Shetty since "All The Best" (2009) at the worldwide box office. ## During a recent interview with India Today, the maverick filmmaker said that every success and failure of his movies belongs to him. "I make sure to surround myself with people who are honest with me. So, when a film doesn't do well, I know it. Hence, I have always believed that both my successes and failures are mine. There is no point shying away from it", he said.## "When a 'Singham' or a 'Golmaal' did well, that was also mine, so when a 'Zameen' (2003), a 'Dilwale' or a 'Cirkus' failed, that was also mine. I don't see a point in blaming anything else", Shetty added.## The "Singham" director further said that "Cirkus" was made during the pandemic for the workers so that they can earn their livelihood. Shetty's next theatrical release is the highly-anticipated third installment of the "Singham" franchise starring Ajay Devgn which is due to start filming next month and be released during Independence Day weekend 2024.## Shetty promises to make a solid comeback with "Singham Again". "The same audience made 'Sooryanshi' a blockbuster despite a 50% occupancy, and if it didn't work for 'Cirkus', I must take ownership of failures as well. That's not to say that I won't bounce back with the 'Singham' franchise again or 'Golmaal' or any other film, and I might make 'Cirkus' again, too". ## Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty is currently busy with the promotion of his hosted daredevil show "Khathron Ke Khiladi 13" which premiers on July 15 on Colors TV.
