Dhanush's 'Thiruchitrambalam' Release Date Locked!

Chennai, May 24 - Actor Dhanush will have a busy year with back-to-back releases, including his big Hollywood debut, The Gray Man. Directed by Russo Brothers, the movie is touted to be a global spy thriller that also stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Ana de Armas in leading roles. It will premiere on Netflix on July 22. ## Dhanush, apart from The Gray Man, will be headlining his long-awaited romantic comedy, Thiruchitrambalam, which also stars Raashi Khanna, Nithya Menen, and Priya Bhavani Shankar as female leads, with Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja in supporting roles. The film's shooting was completed in October last year in just fifty days but the release got delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic.## Produced by Sun Pictures, Thiruchitrambalam will now reportedly be released in theaters on Dhanush's birthday on July 28, Thursday. Chennai, May 23 - Tamil movie Don is all set to become the biggest grosser ever for actor Sivakarthikeyan whose popularity is on the rise. It has been a dream box office run for, Don, so far and it isn't looking to slow down anytime soon. ## Directed by debutante Cibi Chakaravarthi, Don, will become only the second movie for Sivakarthikeyan to enter Rs. 100 crores worldwide gross club. Chennai, April 21 - Thalapthy Vijay's action thriller, "Beast" has crossed the 200 crores gross at the worldwide box office. The movie, however, is declining drastically at the domestic box office after the long 5-day opening weekend. ## Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the movie was released on April 13 and scored 112.3 crores net in the first 5 days. Once the opening ended, the movie plumbed big time and minted only 7.95 crores net in the next 3 days, pushing the domestic net cume to 120.25 crores in 8 days. ## At the overseas box office, "Beast" has made 60.1 crores gross, helping the worldwide cume to go past the 200 crores mark. It has become Thalapathy Vijay's 5th movie to reach the landmark box office figure after "Bigil", "Mersal", "Sarkar", and "Master". ## Meanwhile, despite the so-so outing at the domestic box office, "Beast" has become the first film of 2022 to score 100 crores gross in Tamil Nadu state. Chennai, April 14 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller "Beast" takes a huge drop on its second day at the domestic box office, but the overall collection remains strong. The Nelson Dilipkumar-directed has had the biggest ever start for a Tamil movie, grossing over 58 crores at the domestic box office. In Tamil Nadu, it took the biggest opening of all time with 32.5 crores gross, beating Thalapathy's own "Sarkar", which had grossed 30.15 crores on the first day. Keeping the long weekend ahead in mind, the movie was bound to take a dip after the first day (a usual trend in South cinema).
