Thalaivar 169: Shivarajkumar Officially Joins Rajinikanth's Next With Director Nelson

Chennai, June 8 - Director Nelson Dilipkumar is pulling off a serious casting for superstar Rajnikanth's upcoming film, which is tentatively titled Thalaivar 169. ## It was recently reported that Kannada star Shivarajkumar was approached to play an important role in the movie and now, he has himself confirmed the same. According to Cinema Express, Shivanna said that he loved the script and is excited to join Thalaivaa. ## "It's a great opportunity for anybody to act along with Rajinikanth, and I'm glad that this project has made it possible for me. He knows me from my childhood, and I share a special bond with him. Irrespective of the role, I'm glad to be part of this film. I'm sure fans will love to watch Rajini Sir and me together on the silver screen", he said. ## The actor further said that the shooting will begin in August and his portion with Rajnikanth will be shot in September either in Bengaluru or Mysore. Box Office: Vikram First Tuesday Early Estimates

Chennai, June 7 - Tamil movie "Vikram", starring Kamal Haasan is having quite a fun at the box office as it grossed over 200 crores worldwide in just 4 days. The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed scored another excellent day on its first Tuesday, grossing an estimated 15 crores domestically. In all probability, it has crossed Thalapathy Vijay's "Beast" to become the biggest Tamil grosser of the year, and it took just 5 days to get there. The first Tuesday collection of "Vikram" takes it to about 215 crores gross (excluding the overseas collection on Tuesday). "Beast" grossed approx. 216 crores worldwide and is now the second-highest-grossing Tamil title of 2022, if we include the overseas collection of "Vikram". Chennai, June 7 - Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan returns to Tamil cinema after more than a decade with Mani Ratnam's upcoming magnum opus "Ponniyin Selvan". The movie is scheduled to release on 30 September 2022 worldwide. ## Now, as per the latest reports, the "Enthiran" actress has been roped in to play the female lead opposite superstar Rajinikanth. Tentatively titled "Thalaivar 169", the movie will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The commercial entertainer will be produced on a massive scale by Sun Pictures.## Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan had previously teamed up for director Shankar's "Enthiran" which became a massive hit. The film opened to superlative responses from the audience and also won critical acclaim with flying colors. ## The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed movie is a total firecracker at the Tamil Nadu box office. After taking the 3rd biggest opening in 2022, the movie concluded the opening weekend with Kamal Haasan's career-best 67.10 crores gross in Tamil Nadu state. The Sunday collection of the movie is more than the opening day at the TN box office, which is the rarest achievement for a top-tier Tamil movie. ## There is a crazy demand among the moviegoers at the ticket window for the "Vikram" movie. Los Angeles, June 5 - North America is turning into a huge box office market and leading the overseas chart for the Indian movies. After KGF Chapter 2 and RRR registered huge numbers over there, the latest domestic blockbusters, Vikram and Major opened big on the opening weekend in the USA. ## Kamal Haasan-fronted top-reviewed action thriller "Vikram" opened this weekend and scored $1.75 million, including Thursday previews. Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' Tops 100 Crores Worldwide In Two Days

Chennai, June 5 - Raaj Kamal Films International's production, Vikram is putting up a sensational show at the box office not only domestically but overseas also. The Kamal Haasan-fronted movie was expected to score big but it has exceeded those expectations by a big margin by collecting 100 crores worldwide gross in just two days. ## Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, "Vikram" took the second-biggest opening for a Tamil movie in 2022 with 37.5 crores gross at the domestic box office. It grossed 23.10 crores in Tamil Nadu alone, which is the 3rd biggest in 2022. With super positive word of mouth, the action thriller put up one of the strongest holds on the second day, grossing 33.6 crores for a total of 71.1 crores domestic gross. ## "Vikram" dropped a little over 10% on the second day (Saturday), which is probably the lowest dip ever for a top-tier Tamil movie. Usually, South Indian films tend to take a huge drop on the second day which was not the case with "Vikram" which remained almost unbreakable. In Tamil Nadu, it did gross a fantastic 20.10 crores on Saturday, boosting the total gross to 43.30 crores in the home state. ## Meanwhile, the overseas box office collection of "Vikram" is also phenomenal with 32 crores gross in two days. In the USA, the movie has grossed $1.3 million (10.08 crores) so far. The total worldwide gross of the movie now stands at 103.10 crores, which is the fastest ever for a Kamal Haasan movie. ## "Vikram" was released in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu languages. While Tamil collections are extraordinary, the movie has done very well in Telugu states by grossing 7.5 crores in two days. He began his career with me as a cinematographer and editor. We seem to understand each other and I have completed a script for me. We are tweaking it a bit and plan to hit the floors by July end, early August", said the actor. ## Kamal Haasan was supposed to complete director Shankar's "Indian 2". It has already been shot around 40%, but the shoot was eventually put on hold due to budget issues and multiple other problems. Chennai, May 28 - Legendary Kamal Haasan's long-awaited Vikram is finally releasing this Friday and the makers are readying for the big day. Raaj Kamal Films International, the production house headed by Kamal Haasan, has warned websites against pirating the movie and is on high alert to stop such development. ## The Madras High Court restricted Internet Service Providers (ISP) and over 1000 websites from unauthorized screening or copying of "Vikram", and now, RKFI has communicated to all the Internet Service Providers and sites that stringent legal action would be taken if the movie is copied or transmitted.## Madras High Court judge, Justice Saravanan had, on a petition filed by R.
