After Box Office, Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra Part 1 - Shiva' Getting Positive Reception On OTT

Mumbai, November 5 - Director Ayan Mukerji's fantasy action drama film Brahmastra Part One - Shiva was released in theaters on September 9 this year against huge boycott calls but the film got the love of the audience and went on to become a success story at the box office, grossing over 430 crores worldwide. ## The movie, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the leading roles, is based on ancient Indian Astras. It was recently released on Disney Plus Hotstar after completing 8 weeks in theaters, and as expected, the film is receiving a positive reception from the OTT audience too. ## Though "Brahmastra" has already been watched by a large set of audiences in theaters, there was a section of the audience who was waiting for the film to release on the digital platform. Disney has been the official distributing partner of the film in the overseas markets, so it directly got the streaming rights as well. ## Since the movie is out on Disney Plus Hotstar, many OTT viewers have been hailing "Brahmastra" a big-screen adventure, and praising the VFX shots as the finest ever for an Indian film. Prabhas' 'Adipurush' Set To Be Delayed Further From Summer 2023?

Mumbai, November 5 - The makers of Prabhas-fronted magnum opus Adipurush released the teaser of the film on October 2 with much enthusiasm only to get criticism from critics and audiences over its poor VFX. ## The makers did manage things by showing the teaser on the big screens and were able to make people change their minds, but other controversies around the characterization of Ramayana's character really pushed the makers back, but again, they somehow managed things by telling people about their vision. ## Directed by Om Raut, "Adipurush" is currently slated for January 12, 2023, release, but as per the recent reports, the makers were left with no choice but to postpone the film to the summer of 2023 as there are a number of big releases on Sankranthi festival and they don't want harm the film's box office potential. ## Now, according to LetsCinema, the real reason for postponing the film was indeed the criticism of VFX shots. The makers are reportedly under pressure to re-do the full VFX which will approximately cost Rs. 100 crores more. Ram Setu First Monday Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 31 - Ram Setu had an average first extended weekend at the box office with around 56cr net box office collections. There was a chance of hitting the 60cr mark but the film remained flat on Sunday due to a cricket match between India and South Africa in peak collections time.## That was one reason but the biggest reason for a limited Saturday growth and flat Sunday was due to average to poor feedback from the audiences as they did not like the film. The extended weekend collections of 56cr came due to the Diwali holidays and the star power of Akshay Kumar and not due to the film.## The first Monday's early estimates suggest 2.70 crores net which is a poor number once again and the film will continue to fall from here on. Ram Setu First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 30 - Ram Setu which underperformed on the first weekend had shown its first growth yesterday when it grew around 20% and it was expected that the film will show further growth today but that did not happen. Of course, the collections are better than yesterday but the trajectory of the film is not as good as it should have been. ## The film scored an estimated 7.75 crores net on its first Sunday, jumping approx. 5%. The main reasons for limited growth are a cricket world cup match of India and that too in peak collection time. The other reason for limited growth is less appreciation of the film barring a few circuits where it had done decent business.## The first Sunday collections will take the entire box office collections of Ram Setu to around the 56.50cr mark. There is a huge Sunday holiday to come tomorrow and if the film gets some growth from Saturday then it will be a decent extended weekend for the film with approx 58-60cr net box office mark.## Sunday should record a double-digit mark as Sunday is a huge day for mass centers and Ram Setu is a film that is driven by mass centers. Tiger Shroff's 'Ganapath' And Katrina Kaif, Vijay Sethupathi's 'Merry Christmas' Pushed To 2023

Mumbai, October 28 - Maverick filmmaker Rohit Shetty's much-awaited comic caper Cirkus starring Ranveer Singh is going to get a solo release this Christmas. ## "Cirkus" was supposed to clash with Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon's "Ganapath Part 1" and Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi's "Merry Christmas", but both have now been postponed to 2023. Interestingly, the makers announced yesterday that "Merry Christmas" would be released as scheduled on December 23 this year, but now, it stands postponed to summer 2023. ## "Ganapath" is a big-budget action thriller directed by Vikas Bahl. It is currently in post-production and it seems the makers are not going to bring the movie this Christmas. However, the official announcement regarding the postponement of "Ganapath" is yet to be made. ## Meanwhile, "Cirkus", which is the first comedy film for Rohit Shetty outside the "Golmaal" franchise, is now the only major Bollywood film in December this year. Tiger Shroff's Film With Director Jagan Shakti Is Titled 'Hero No. 1'

Mumbai, October 28 - It was recently reported that Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff would be teaming up with "Mission Mangal" director Jagan Shakti for an action drama film. Pooja Entertainment will produce this big-budget entertainer, making its 3rd film with Tiger after "Ganapath" and "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan". ## Now, according to the latest reports, the movie has been titled "Hero No. 1" and it will go on floors in 2023. "Tiger Shroff, Jackky Bhagnani, and Jagan Shakti are looking to create one of its kind tentpole action thrillers, with the aim to bring heroism back in a big way. Ram Setu Fourth Day/First Friday Early Estimates

Mumbai, October 28 - Ram Setu, which recorded decent first three days at the box office with 35.40 crores net has shown another drop today at the box office. The film has witnessed a similar drop to yesterday with around a 20% drop depending on the final collections.## The early estimate collections suggest 7 crores net box office mark which will take the entire collections of Ram Setu to around 42.40cr net. The extended weekend collections are looking to be around the 60cr mark unless the film shows huge growth on Saturday and Sunday and goes towards the 65cr mark which is difficult due to less appreciation of the film.## The film did not perform at the expected level at least initially and the hope is that the film crosses the 100cr mark somehow for a decent result at the box office. The mass centers have recorded good collections in the first four days thanks to the popularity of Akshay Kumar in B and C-tier cities.
