After Box Office, Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra Part 1 - Shiva' Getting Positive Reception On OTT

Mumbai, November 5 - Director Ayan Mukerji's fantasy action drama film Brahmastra Part One - Shiva was released in theaters on September 9 this year against huge boycott calls but the film got the love of the audience and went on to become a success story at the box office, grossing over 430 crores worldwide.
The movie, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the leading roles, is based on ancient Indian Astras. It was recently released on Disney Plus Hotstar after completing 8 weeks in theaters, and as expected, the film is receiving a positive reception from the OTT audience too.
Though "Brahmastra" has already been watched by a large set of audiences in theaters, there was a section of the audience who was waiting for the film to release on the digital platform. Disney has been the official distributing partner of the film in the overseas markets, so it directly got the streaming rights as well.
Since the movie is out on Disney Plus Hotstar, many OTT viewers have been hailing "Brahmastra" a big-screen adventure, and praising the VFX shots as the finest ever for an Indian film. Not just from the Hindi audience, "Brahmastra" is also getting equal positive reception in South Indian languages too.
The positive reception after the film's digital release indicates that the second part "Brahmastra Part Two - Dev" will be a huge hit. The anticipation for Part Two is slowly building up though it a far from releasing as the makers have planned it to bring in 2025.
The film is produced by Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in prominent roles along with the cameos of Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
