Director Brinda Reveals Why She Picked 'Hey Sinamika' Title For Dulqeer Salmaan's Film

Chennai, February 15 - National Award-winning South Indian choreographer, Brinda, who is making her directorial debut with upcoming Tamil romantic-comedy, "Hey Sinamika", has revealed why she picked this title for her directorial debut. ## "Hey Sinamika", starring Dulquer Salmaan, Kajal Aggarwal, and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles, is scheduled to release in theaters on March 3. Brinda, who considers filmmaker Mani Ratnam her guru, had choreographed a song titled 'Aye Sinamika' for his film 'OK Kanmani'.## Fortunately, the director says that by a strange stroke of coincidence, the word 'Sinamika' also means 'angry girls', and that fits perfectly with the film's plotline. Without any second thoughts, director Brinda decided that this was going to be her film's title and locked it.## Elaborating further, she says, "I choreographed one of Mani sir's songs 'Aye Sinamika' in the past and that too featured Dulquer. I really liked the title and when I told Mani, sir, about it, he laughingly said, 'So, now you are taking the title from one of my films?' You could say it's my tribute to him".## "Hey Sinamika" is produced by Jio Studios, Global One Studios, and Viacom18 Studios, and it will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages. Sivakarthikeyan's Next 'Don' To Follow 'Doctor's' Release Model!

Chennai, February 15 - Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan is gearing up for the release of his next big campus entertainer "Don", which is slated for March 25th release in theaters worldwide. ## Directed by Cibi Chakaravarthi, "Don" is produced by Allirajah Subaskaran of Lyca Productions in association with Sivakarthikeyan Productions. The movie also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead opposite Sivakarthikeyan while S. J. Suryah, Samuthirakani, and Soori appear in pivotal roles. ## Meanwhile, "Don" will also release in the dubbed Telugu language simultaneously with the original Tamil version. Sivakarthikeyan's last film, "Doctor" received praises from the Telugu audiences and did business of around 3.50 crores in the dubbed version. In Tamil, "Doctor" was a blockbuster and grossed approx Rs. 75 crores in India. ## During the covid-19 pandemic, many regional films explored the other markets and have had a fair amount of success. Suriya To Reunite With Blockbuster 'Soorarai Pottru' Director Sudha Kongara For Another Film

Suriya's 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' New Release Date Revealed

Chennai, January 26 - Suriya's first big-screen release after two back-to-back direct OTT premieres, "Etharkkum Thunindhavan" has been delayed due to the 3rd covid-19 wave. The action-thriller, written & directed by Pandiraj, was supposed to release on February 4 this year. ## According to Only Kollywood, Sun Pictures has pushed the film by a couple of weeks and the movie will now release on either February 17th or 18th. Even though the 3rd covid wave isn't as serious as the 2nd wave, the state government has imposed a weekend curfew to curb the spread of the virus. It was a wise move to push the release of ET by two weeks as makers are hopeful that the situation will be normal by then. ## "Etharkkum Thunindhavan" is Suriya's 40th film. It marked Suriya's 3rd collaboration with Sun Pictures after Ayan (2009) and Singam (2010) while Pandiraj earlier worked with Suriya, whose production company 2D Entertainment had backed his projects "Pasanga 2", which had the latter playing a supporting character and Karthi's "Kadaikutty Singam".## Suriya's 1st film as a lead hero with Pandiraj, "Etharkkum Thunindhavan" has a huge cast in place including Priyanka Arul Mohan, who plays the female lead alongside Sathyaraj, Vinay, and others. The film's music is composed by D. Imman, whilst cinematography was handled by R. Rathnavelu.## Meanwhile, Suriya also has a film with director Vetrimaaran titled "Vaadivaasal". This Kalaippuli S. Dil Raju Reveals Big Release Date Plans Of 'Thalapathy 66'

Chennai, January 24 - Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay was the first A-Lister of Indian cinema to release his film "Master" in theaters during the covid-19 pandemic last year. The movie proved to be a mega-hit in theaters, even though it was made available on OTT 16 days after its theatrical release.## There is no doubt that Thalapathy Vijay is the most bankable actor in Tamil cinema and expectations from his next movies are sky high. The actor recently completed the shoot of director Nelson Dilipkumar's "Beast". The action thriller carries a huge buzz among trade and movie lovers. This Sun Pictures production is scheduled to release in April 2022. ## Meanwhile, the "Bigil" star has started prepping for his next, which is going to be Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie. It is said to be the finest film, to be produced by Vamshi Paidipally, in Vijay's career. Dil Raju, who will be producing this mega-budget action drama film, said in a recent interview that Thalapathy Vijay has really liked the script and called it the best in the last 20 years. ## Dil Raju also has some big plans for the release of "Thalapathy 66". The "Maharshi" producer, who is also producing Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's upcoming film "RC 15", revealed that he has two release dates in mind for Vijay's film, which will be finalized according to the covid-19 scenario in the country. Though "RC 15" is currently slated for Sankranthi 2023 release, this slot might be taken by "Thalapathy 66", if the movie failed to meet the Diwali 2022 timeline due to the covid. ## "Vamshi has come up with a beautiful storyline. When I listened to it, I loved it. Vijay listened to the story and said that he hasn't heard a story like this in 20 years. When a star says this, it gives you confidence. The film's shooting will begin in March. If there are no delays due to Covid-19, then the film will release on Diwali. If it misses Diwali, it will release on Sankranti 2023", Dil Raju said in a recent interview with a Telugu television channel.## There have been reports stating that some of the noted actors and a top-notch technical team will be associated with the project. Thalapathy Vijay's 'Beast' To Lock Horns With 'KGF 2' And 'Laal Singh Chaddha'

Aamir Khan Productions, yesterday clarified that "Laal Singh Chaddha" will arrive on April 14, 2022, as scheduled contrary to the reports of its postponement. ## The release of "Laal Singh Chaddha" will meet the much-anticipated Pan-India biggie, Yash-starrer "KGF: Chapter 2", which was long ago announced for that date. And now, Thalapathy Vijay's keenly-awaited Tamil blockbuster "Beast" is also looking for the same window. ## Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, "Beast" hasn't set an exact release date, but it has been announced for April release. Industry sources have said that it will be released on April 14, thus confirming the blockbuster clash with KGF 2 and LSC at the box office.## However, if all three biggies decide to come out on the same date, it will be "KGF 2", which will be affected the most. Being a Pan-India film, the movie is carrying a lot of anticipation and eyeing to be a potential highest-grosser of the year. In the scenario of the clash, its chances will get a dent due to screen sharing with the other two. ## Aamir Khan's "Laal Singh Chaddha" is an outright Hindi film and is expected to do well despite the clash with "KGF 2". After 'Rangasthalam', Manish Shah To Release Thalapathy Vijay's 'Mersal' In Hindi

Mumbai, January 21 - Manish Shah of Goldmines Telefilms seems to be on a mission of releasing Hindi dubbed versions of South Indian movies. While Shah is behind the revolutionary idea of airing dubbed versions on television, the recent theatrical success of "Pushpa - The Rise" in Hindi has raised the expectations from South Indian films as far as theatrical experience is concerned. ## Inspired by the "Pushpa" success, Manish Shah, who owns the Hindi dubbing rights of 80% of South Indian films, has already announced the Hindi theatrical release of Allu Arjun's 2020 blockbuster "Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo" on January 26.
