Beast Advance Booking: Thalapathy Vijay-Starrer Set To Take A Historic Opening At The Box Office

Chennai, April 12 - Thalapathy Vijay is undoubtedly the biggest film star in the Tamil cinema and enjoys a massive fan following. Over the years, he has become the most trustable actor in whom the producers can invest blindly. His movie, "Sarkar" has a record of the biggest opening ever in Tamil and now, the actor's upcoming "Beast" is threatening to break that record.

"Beast", which is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is scheduled to release on April 13 and multiple languages. The advance booking for the same was opened on April 6 and within minutes, the shows started getting booked. Not only in the original Tamil version, but the movie also got a big response in the Telugu advance booking.



Produced by Sun Pictures, the advance booking of "Beast" has crossed 27 crores with still a few hours left for the first show. The Tamil version has crossed 24 crores in advances and it has already become the highest ever in Tamil. The movie has a shot to create history in the home state, Tamil Nadu, as it could become the biggest opening day grosser there. Thalapathy's "Sarkar" currently holds the record with 30.15 crores gross. "Beast" might score 35 crores gross.

"Beast" is an action comedy film that revolves around a spy's crusade to rescue people held hostage in a shopping mall by terrorists. In the movie, a shopping mall in Chennai is hijacked by terrorists who hold the visitors as hostages, Veera Raghavan (Vijay), a spy also trapped in the mall, decides to save the hostages by eliminating the terrorists.

The movie also stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead alongside, Selvaraghavan, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Bjorn Surrao, Aparna Das, Shine Tom Chacko, and Ankur Ajit Vikal, among others in supporting roles.
