Superstar Rajinikanth's Film With Director Lokesh Kanagaraj To Be A Standalone Movie With No LCU Connection
Chennai, August 22 - Superstar Rajinikanth basking on the mega success of his latest blockbuster "Jailer", directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The superstar is now gearing up for his projects and one of them is with Lokesh Kanagaraj. ## Rajinikanth and Lokesh's collaboration has been in the news for the last few weeks. The makers haven't made the project official yet but multiple reports have confirmed the development and the previous reports also claimed that it could be a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). ## Now, according to the latest reports, the project, tentatively called "Thalaivaar 171", will be a standalone movie with no connection with the LCU. The shoot for the movie is expected to commence by the end of this year or early next year. ## LCU has been the talk of the town since last year. The first movie in this universe was Karthi's "Kaithi", followed by Kamal Haasan's "Vikram" last year. The next film from the director, "Leo" starring Thalapthy Vijay, is also said to be a part of LCU. It is currently in the post-production work and is scheduled to release on October 19, 2023, in multiple languages.## Meanwhile, Rajinikanth will next be seen in "Lal Salaam", written and directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth and produced by Lyca Productions. The superstar is playing an extended cameo appearance in it. He also has a film with Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel and it will also be produced by Lyca. ## Stay tuned...
