KH234: Kamal Haasan's Film With Mani Ratnam Titled 'Thug Life'; Gets Stellar Cast On Board

Chennai, November 6 - Legendary actor Kamal Haasan and maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam join forces again 36 years after "Nayakan". The iconic duo teamed up for the actor's 234th film, now titled Thug Life.

The instant attention-grabbing title was launched on November 6 with an excellent first-look teaser. In the title video, Kamal Haasan can be seen donning thug-like cloaths and engaging in a combat fight against a group of assailants before the title of the movie flashed on the screen.



Kamal Haasan is playing the role of a thug (Dacoit) while the makers have roped in a stellar cast to accompany him. Trisha Krishnan has been roped in to play the female lead while Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan and Tamil star Jayam Ravi are confirmed to play pivotal roles.

"Thug Life" is produced by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R. Mahendran, and Siva Ananthi under the banners of Raaj Kamal International Films and Madras Talkies. The Oscar winner and legendary AR Rahman will provide the movie's music while Sreekar Prasad is the editor, and Ravi K Chandran will handle the cinematography.

The shoot of the movie will commence soon and it will release in 2024.
