The Kerala Story First Thursday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 11 - The blockbuster controversial film The Kerala Story completes its first full week at the box office with flying colors, scoring close to 80 crores net collection. ## After the excellent first six days, TKS remains in the same line and scored an estimated 11-12 crores net, pushing the total net collection to around 80 crores. It may also finish above 80 crores which remains to see. ## The Kerala Story will cross the 100 crore net mark by its second Saturday and will become the fourth Bollywood movie of the year to reach this milestone. For a movie that was made on a low budget, this is an excellent box office return and it is not going to stop anytime soon.## There are a few films releasing this weekend in the form of "IB 71" and "Chatrapathi", among others, but TKS is expected to remain the first choice. It is an action comedy entertainer with a quirky storyline. The rest of the cast is being finalized and will be announced soon. ## The shoot of the film is expected to begin in August this year after Shahid completes Rosshan Andrrews' investigative thriller, which is the remake of the Malayalam movie "Mumbai Police" for Roy Kapur Films. The actor, meanwhile, will next be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar's "Bloody Daddy" which premieres on Jio Cinema on June 9, and also has Dinesh Vijan's robotic romance comedy, scheduled to release later this year.## Rashmika Mandanna, on the other hand, will be seen in "Animal", scheduled for August 11 release, along with a slice-of-life Telugu film "Rainbow" and an untitled film with Nithiin. The Kerala Story First Wednesday Early Estimates

Mumbai, May 10 - The Kerala Story continues to go up at the box office as the movie sees another good jump in collection on its first Wednesday. ## On its first Wednesday, the movie scores a growth of around 10% over Tuesday's collection for an estimated 12 crores net. This is the second back-to-back jump in the collection of the film despite the working days and takes the total net collection to around 69 crores in 6 days. ## The full opening week collection of The Kerala Story is now expected to be around 80+ crores net and then, it will breach the 100 crores net mark, mostly on its second Saturday.## The film showing a jump during weekdays despite the fact that it is facing difficulties in getting a proper release in a few states shows that TKS has become a rage, just like Vivek Agnihotri's "The Kashmir Files" last year. The movie had an excellent first weekend with 35.25 crores net coming in. ## Despite facing bans and backlash, The Kerala Story scored is showing a jump of around 30% on Monday from Friday for an estimated 10-11+ crores net, which is phenomenal, to say the least. Prabhas' Film With Director Siddharth Anand Shelved

Hyderabad, May 6 - Over the last few years, it has been reported that superstar Prabhas would be teaming up with director Siddharth Anand for a big-budget action entertainer. Mythri Movie Makers was on board to bankroll the project and even reportedly gave advances to Anand for the same. ## While the fans were excited about this blockbuster collaboration, things didn't work out to take the movie on floors due to the covid-19 pandemic and other commitments of both Prabhas and Siddharth. And now, the latest reports have confirmed that the movie in question has been shelved. ## According to Pinkvilla, Siddharth Anand has refunded the advances he took for the movie to Mythri Movie Makers. Since both Prabhas and Siddharth are busy with their ongoing projects, it was not possible for them to match their dates which eventually forced the makers to put the movie on hold. ## The report further states that conversations on this Prabhas and Siddharth Anand film might take off again once both of them are relatively free which will take at least two to three years as both have multiple films in the pipeline. ## Prabhas is currently gearing up for the release of Om Raut's directed "Adipurush" which is slated for June 16, followed by Prashanth Neel's "Salaar" on September 28 this year. Mumbai, May 5 - Bollywood star John Abraham is riding high about the mega-blockbuster success of "Pathaan" in which he plays the role of a deadly antagonist Jim. The actor is receiving a lot of praise for his performance which is tempting him to carefully set up his future films. ## It was recently reported that John wants to focus on action films going forward for the next couple of years and has turned down many scripts that promised otherwise. After going through several scripts, John has reportedly signed his first film post "Pathaan" success. ## According to Peepingmoon.com, the "Dhoom" star will be reuniting with director Nikkhil Advani after their successful "Batla House" (2019). It is said that John will headline Advani's next action drama inspired by true events just like their first collaboration. ## The actor will reportedly be playing the role of a rescuer who meets with many challenges in his mission. "Bunty Aur Babli 2" actress Sharvari Wagh has been attached to play the female lead while Abhishek Banerjee will also be playing a key role in the yet-untitled upcoming movie. ## Nikkhil Advani's home banner Emmay Entertainment will produce this film with Zee Studios. The shoot for the movie will start after John finishes Shivam Nair's "The Diplomat", which is based on the real-life story of an Indian diplomat's efforts to repatriate an Indian girl from Pakistan. Ajay Devgn's Much-Awaited Sports Biopic 'Maidaan' To Be Pushed To September 2023?

Mumbai, May 5 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's long-awaited sports biographical drama film Maidaan might be pushed further as Bollywood sees another big release date shuffle with the summer 2023 releases. ## Shah Rukh Khan-fronted action entertainer Jawan, which was scheduled to release on June 2, will now reportedly be hitting worldwide theaters on August 25 this year. It has made other films change their plans after a few films already postponed their release dates. ## As per the latest reports, "Maidaan", which was scheduled for June 23 release, has been pushed to September 8, 2023. The official confirmation is yet to be made but it seems the movie is indeed moving to September release. ## Directed by Amit Sharma, the film has already been postponed multiple times due to the busy release calendar and the delay in the post-production work. Shah Rukh Khan's All-Time Blockbuster 'Pathaan' Sets Historic Release Date In Bangladesh

Mumbai, May 5 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's all-time blockbuster spy action thriller Pathaan is all set to historic release in Bangladesh amid huge excitement among the fans. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan" will be the first major Hindi film in many years to have secured release in the neighboring country and will be hitting theaters nationwide on May 12, according to Variety. ## Bollywood films haven't been released in Bangladesh since the country's formation in 1971, in order to protect the local film industry. 'The Kerala Story' Set For A Good Start At The Box Office

Mumbai, May 4 - Director Sudipto Sen's drama film The Kerala Story has been at the center of controversy ever since the trailer was launched. The movie is claimed to have been based on true events and follows the story of a group of women from Kerala who are converted to Islam and join the extremist Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). ## There was hardly any buzz around "The Kerala Story" a couple of weeks ago but due to the controversy, everyone is now aware of it which is proving to be advantageous as far as the box office of the film is concerned. Mumbai, May 4 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's action entertainer Jawan with director Atlee is no longer releasing on June 2. ## The makers have been keeping mum on the release date of the movie which leads to frustration among the fans. Amid the continued silence, it has now been reported that "Jawan" won't make it to the June release due to the pending work on VFX. ## According to Pinkvilla, "Jawan" is now looking for an August 2023 release.
