Maddock Films Announces 8 New Films In The Horror-Comedy Universe With Release Dates

Mumbai, January 2 - Producer Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films is upping the ante and creating its own MCU in the form of a horror-comedy universe. The studio has already released 4 films of the horror-comedy universe with Stree 2 being the game-changer after the massive blockbuster success at the box office last year. ## The response the previous 4 films got at the box office made Maddock Films dream big and in that aspect, the studio has announced 8 more films in the horror-comedy universe which will be interconnected to each other. The universe will conclude in 2028 with the final two films, along the lines of Avengers movies. ## Among the 8 new films announced, the studio has confirmed Bhediya 2 for 2026 release and Stree 3 for 2027 debut on the big screen while the Munjya sequel is also greenlit for 2027 launch. Box Office: 'Pushpa 2' Hindi Version Crosses 1000 Crore Gross Worldwide

Mumbai, January 2 - Superstar Allu Arjun's action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has achieved a crazy milestone as it has become only the third movie ever to cross 1000 crore gross collection at the worldwide box office in Hindi after superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Jawan. ## The Hindi version of this mega-blockbuster has grossed approximately 925 crores at the domestic box office and over 115 crores overseas for around 1040 crores gross globally. Mumbai, December 25 - Varun Dhawan's mass action entertainer Baby John is the last big Bollywood release of 2024 and it has taken a decent opening at the box office with double-digit numbers. ## The opening of Baby John got a push due to the Christmas holiday, however, at the same time, it was affected by strong holdovers like Pushpa 2 and Mufasa as early estimates suggest a 12-12.50 crore net opening for Varun Dhawan-starrer.## The film opened on the projected lines, however, being a mass movie and a holiday release, Baby John was expected to open much higher which didn't happen. Varun Dhawan's 'Baby John' Opening Day Box Office Expectations

Mumbai, December 24 - After stealing hearts with romantic and comedy entertainers, Bollywood star Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of his first full-fledged actioner in the form of Baby John which is slated to hit the screens on December 25 on the occasion of Christmas. ## The film, directed by Tamil director Kalees, was easily one of the most anticipated Bollywood movies sometime back but the buzz has dipped for the last few weeks in the euphoria of Pushpa 2 - The Rule which is going great gun at the box office in Hindi. ## The advance booking of Baby John hasn't been on the expected lines but it has still managed to score a decent response with over 100K tickets sold for the opening day. As of 8 PM on December 24, the pre-sales gross for the opening is approximately 3.75 crores (including block seats) and the final advance sales heads for 4.50-5 crores gross. ## The pre-sales trend indicates the film's opening in the range of 10 crores gross, however, the Christmas holiday is expected to boost spot booking which can push the opening into the range of 13-15 crores. There is also Hollywood Mufasa: The Lion King which has good pre-sales for December 25 in North belt. ## If there weren't the other two movies, Baby John could have easily aimed for a much higher opening as buzz for the movie was there to cash in the opportunity. A6: Director Atlee Promises Bigger Things In His Next With Salman Khan

Mumbai, December 17 - Director Atlee's next film with superstar Salman Khan has been the talk of the town ever since the news about the movie was revealed sometime back. It is the director's first film since the mega-blockbuster success of superstar Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Jawan last year.## Tentatively called A6, the upcoming movie marks the maiden collaboration of Atlee with Salman and the director has planned bigger things for the same. During a recent interaction with Pinkvilla, while promoting Varun Dhawan-fronted Baby John, the filmmaker was asked to share some updates on A6. ## Atlee revealed that the script work of A6 is almost complete and the pre-production work is ongoing. The official announcement of the film will be made soon. ## Addressing the report around the casting of the film, the Bigil director promised that he would surprise everyone with the casting. Reports are that A6 would feature either superstar Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan with Salman Khan in the parallel lead and the director also hinted about the same. ## Speaking further about this mega project, Atlee said "It's going to be the proudest film of our country. The casting is on the edge and it’s going to happen in a few weeks. We will have the best best best announcement coming soon to you all".## Varun Dhawan also hyped A6 by stating, "It's going to be out of this world, people don't know what's going to hit them. I have heard and seen a little bit of visualization. It's unbelievable what he is putting together. Varun Dhawan's 'Baby John' Censor Certificate And Official Theatrical Runtime Revealed

Mumbai, December 16 - The next big Bollywood release is Varun Dhawan-fronted action thriller Baby John which is scheduled to hit the big screens on December 25, on the occasion of Christmas. Directed by Kalees, the film carries a decent buzz and should take a good start at the box office. ## Meanwhile, ahead of the film's release, the makers have completed censorship formatlies. It is learned that Baby John has been certified with 'U/A' for 16+ by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an approved theatrical runtime of 2 hours and 44 minutes (164 minutes). ## The movie is certified for people above 16 years of age due to some violent scenes. It is the second age-restricted movie of Varun Dhawan after Badlapur which was rated A by CBFC. In terms of runtime, Baby John is the second longest film of the actor after Kalank which was 165 minutes long. ## The official plot summary of the film tells, "Satya, a former police officer living a peaceful life with his daughter Khushi, is forced to confront his past when they stumble upon a dangerous sex- trafficking gang led by the ruthless Nanaji. Driven by vengeance for the loss of his family six years ago, Satya reverts to his old ways, determined to dismantle Nanaji's criminal empire".## Baby John is produced by Atlee under the banner of A for Apple Productions in association with Jio Studios and Cine1 Studios. 'Sikandar' Teaser To Be Out On Salman Khan's Birthday

Mumbai, December 16 - Superstar Salman Khan's much-awaited action drama Sikandar is set to unleash at the box office on Eid 2025. Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, it is one of the biggest Bollywood films of the next year. ## According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the makers will release the teaser of Sikandar on Salman Khan's birthday, December 27. The teaser is currently being edited and is expected to be action-packed and entertaining on a huge scale. ## The background score is done by Santosh Narayanan, who is best known for his work in Kalki 2898 AD, among many other films. A Short Synopsis of Prabhas-Fronted 'Spirit' Revealed

Mumbai, December 12 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and superstar Prabhas are teaming up for the first time for an action thriller film titled Spirit. It is one of the most anticipated Indian movies in the making and will show Prabhas playing the role of a cop for the first time in his career.## The shoot of Spirit is expected to kick off early next year, and ahead of the production commencement, a short synopsis of the film has seemingly been revealed. According to Letterboxd, Spirit is about "A disgraced cop, determined to regain his job, hunts down a ruthless international crime syndicate".## Interestingly, during the promotion of Animal (2023), Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that the protagonist in Spirit comes from a middle-class background, in contrast to both Animal and Arjun Reddy (2017), where the male leads belonged to wealthy families. Female Lead Locked Opposite Tiger Shroff In Baaghi 4

Mumbai, December 12 - Former Miss Universe Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Tiger Shroff-fronted Baaghi 4.
