Kriti Sanon Remembers Late Actor Sushant Singh Rajput With A BTS Video As Raabta Completes 4 Years

Mumbai, June 9, 2021: Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the most promising stars and had proved his worth in films like Sonchiriya, Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, Kai Po Che!, M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story, among others. His sudden demise had not only left the nation in shock but also given the fresh air to nepotism and drug culture in the Bollywood film industry. ## Sushant Singh Rajput starred in 11 films and one of them is Raabta, which released on June 9, 2017. Ahead of Sushant's first death anniversary (June 14), actress Kriti Sanon who played the female lead in the film remembered Sushant and shared a heartwarming BTS video from their film. The video features all the goofy moments Kriti and Sushant spent on the sets of the film. Tiger Shroff's Heropanti 2 Shoot To Resume In July In Russia

Mumbai, June 9, 2021: Tiger Shroff starrer Heropanti 2 was one of the first films to begin shooting after the lockdown was lifted last year. However, the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic again forced the production to be paused as most of the states went into lockdown including Maharasthra. ## Now, as the Covid lockdown is seeing some relaxation, most of the films are ready to resume production. Heropanti 2, which also stars Tara Sutaria, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, will head to Russia in July to shoot the next schedule of this action entertainer. ## The cast will start shooting in Moscow followed by St. Petersburg in Russia next month. Apart from filming some major action sequences, the team will also shoot a song in Russia.## "The team is planning to shoot major action sequences and a song in Moscow and St Petersburg. The team has been scouting the perfect locations along with the local team there", a source close to the development revealed to ANI. ## "We are also in talks with multiple stunt designers to get the larger-than-life action sequences and one of them is Martin Ivano who is known for his work in Skyfall (2012), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), and The Bourne Supremacy (2004). Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films Start Vaccination Drive For The Hindi Film Fraternity

Mumbai, June 8, 2021: India's one of the biggest production houses, Yash Raj Films had pledged to vaccinate the members of the Hindi film industry so that they can resume work at the earliest. On Tuesday, Aditya Chopra has started the much-needed vaccination drive at Yash Raj Films (YRF) studios, which aims to vaccinate around 4000 workers in the first phase.## The Studio has pledged that it will do its best to vaccinate 30,000 registered members of the FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees). The company has already vaccinated its employees in an earlier drive that happened within the YRF Studios in Mumbai. ## The vax drive, initiated by filmmaker Aditya Chopra of YRF, looks to facilitate the resumption of day-to-day activity in Bollywood.## Akshaye Widhani, Senior Vice President, Yash Raj Films, said, "After inoculating all the employees at YRF, we started vaccinating the crew members of our films and we are now delighted to have started the vaccination drive for the Hindi film industry. This will result in the daily wage earners of our industry returning to work and provide financial stability for themselves and their families".## "The drive will have to take place in phases, given the huge number of vaccines that are required to cover the industry. Shootings and Theatres To Operate From Monday As Maharashtra Government Announces Five-Level Unlock Plan

Mumbai, June 5, 2021: The Bollywood film industry based in Mumbai, Maharashtra left stranded once again when the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic forced the state government to enforce the lockdown to curb the virus a few weeks ago. The shootings of the films and tv shows were paused and theaters were shut which badly affected the daily wage earners. ## Now, as the coronavirus cases are declining sharply in Maharashtra and all over the country, the Maha. government has decided to unlock the state from Monday (June 7), which will be based on the COVID positivity rate and the availability of oxygen beds in the state. To unlock the state, the state government led by CM Uddhav Thackeray on Friday issued a five-level restriction plan. ## According to level 1, which includes areas where the weekly covid-19 positivity rate is less than 5% and where less than 25% of oxygen beds are occupied, theaters will be permitted to operate at full capacity while shooting can also resume in such areas. ## The theaters will be allowed to operate at 50% capacity in the areas when the weekly positivity rate is less than 5% and oxygen beds occupancy is between 25% to 40%, according to level 2. Level 3 consists of cities and districts which have a weekly positivity rate of 5%-10% or oxygen bed occupancy of more than 40%. ## Mumbai city falls under the level 3 category since its weekly positivity rate is 5.56% while the bed occupancy is 32.51%. According to the guidelines, cinema halls won't be allowed to resume operations for places under Level 3. However, shootings can be resumed. But, one will have to strictly follow certain rules - the shoots will happen in a bubble and moreover, no movement will be allowed outside after 5 pm.## As per the government notification, every Thursday, the public health department of Maharashtra will declare the list of oxygen beds occupancy and weekly positivity rate in each district. Riteish Deshmukh, Sonakshi Sinha To Star In A Horror-Comedy Film Titled Kakuda; To Be Produced By Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Production

Mumbai, June 3, 2021: After the success of Stree, Bollywood seems to be looking for more opportunities in the horror-comedy genre for the last couple of years. After Stree and Roohi, there are few more films lined up in this genre with Bhool Bhulaiya 2, Bhediya, and now, there is one more film in this genre that goes on floors. ## Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies to bankroll a horror-comedy film with actors Riteish Deshmukh, and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles along with Saqib Saleem in a prominant role. The film is titled Kakuda and will be helmed by Marathi filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar. ## The shooting of the film begins on Tuesday in Mandawa, Rajasthan. The makers plan to wrap the film in a 40-day start-to-finish schedule. Actors Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani Booked For Violating Lockdown Rules

Mumbai, June 3, 2021: Actors Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani have been booked under sections 188, 34 IPC by Bandra police station for violating lockdown rules. According to the police, the actors went out for a drive without a valid reason.## On Tuesday evening, the two were stopped by policemen on patrolling duty at Bandra Bandstand. Shroff is a resident of Bandra (West), the police said. FWICE Writes To Maharashtra CM Requesting Permission To Resume Work

Mumbai, June 1, 2021: The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday (May 31), requesting him to allow the resumption of work in the media and entertainment (M&E) industry.## Films and television shooting is currently on hold owing to the second wave of the Covid pandemic as the Maharasthra government has extended lockdown in the state for 15 more days. The FWICE wrote in the letter that the film body sent numerous requests regarding the resumption of work but nothing happened. ## "With reference to the subject matter, we would like to draw your attention to the numerous requests sent to you by the FWICE and the coordination committee regarding our request for resumption of work in the M&E Industry. However, none of our letters have been responded to by your good office and no decision has been taken on our requests", FWICE wrote in the letter signed by Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit, President BN Tiwari, Chief Advisor Sharad Shelar, General Secretary Ashok Dubey, and Treasurer Gangeshwar Shrivastav. ## "Sir, let us apprise you that there are lakhs of artists, workers, and technicians who are jobless for the past one and half years and that the only source of income for them is from the M&E Industry. This industry has been providing work to lakhs of hands and enabling their families to earn their daily bread. However, the lockdown of the Industry has impacted the lives of these daily wage workers who have absolutely no other source of income and are totally dependent on the work of the Industry". ## "The announcement of the extension of the lockdown for another 15 days shall really be a setback for these deprived set of artists, workers and technicians and also the economy of the Industry. Not only the workers but the producers are also affected badly with huge investments already made into the running projects which have been to a standstill due to the unfortunate lockdown". ## "We being the mother body of 32 different crafts of artists, workers, and technicians of the industry have been receiving numerous calls from our members regarding their difficult survival conditions and requesting us to start the work of the Industry", the letter read. ## The FWICE assured the government that all the rules and regulations of the Government shall be followed by each and every crew member and all necessary precautions shall be taken at each work location.## Stay tuned...

Producers Guild of India To Vaccinate Industry Members From June 1st

Mumbai, May 31, 2021: The Producers Guild of India (PGI), the association of Indian film, television, and digital content producers, on Monday, announced a vaccination drive for its members and associated production crews beginning from June 1.## According to a press release, the PGI said the members will be vaccinated over the multi-day drive to be held at Mehboob Studios in suburban Bandra. Through these camps, thousands of production house personnel and crews will be vaccinated. ## Siddharth Roy Kapur, President of the Producers Guild of India, said the initiative was key to getting the film industry back on its feet amid the coronavirus pandemic.## "An activity of such importance and magnitude cannot be carried out singlehandedly and we are extremely grateful for the support we have received to make this possible", Kapur said in a statement.## He also thanked the production banner "Excel Entertainment who played a pivotal role in securing the vaccines and Mehboob Productions who very generously offered complimentary use of the spacious Mehboob Studios".## "We are happy that we are able to provide this facility to our members, their employees, and the cast and crew of their productions as we work to get the industry back on its feet again in the weeks ahead," Kapur added.## Keeping the coronavirus situation in mind, the government of India allowed a vaccination drive for 18+ aged from May 1st. Yash Raj Films To Change The Title Of Akshay Kumar Starrer 'Prithviraj' After Facing Backlash From Karni Sena?

Mumbai, May 30, 2021: Yash Raj Films' ambitious film, Prithviraj is one of the highly-awaited films of the year. It stars Akshay Kumar as Prithviraj Chauhan along with Manushi Chhillar makes her Hindi film debut by playing his beloved wife Sanyogita. This movie is based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj Bhasha epic poem by Chand Bardai about the life of Prithviraj Chauhan. ## Prithviraj was announced in March 2019 and was supposed to release on Diwali 2020, but due to the covid-19 pandemic, it was postponed as the shoot was yet to be completed. The shoot resumed in October 2020 at YRF Studios, and it is now scheduled to release in theatres on 5 November 2021 coinciding with Diwali. ## While the film has already been delayed by a year, the makers of Prithviraj, find themselves in the hot water because of the film's title. The Karni Sena - a Rajput organization, has raised an objection around the title of the film and demanded it to be changed to Prithviraj Chauhan's full name as a mark of respect to him. ## Filmmaker Surjeet Singh Rathore, President of the Youth Wing of the Karni Sena said, "How can they keep the title of the film as just 'Prithviraj' when the film is based on the great Prithviraj Chauhan? We want the title to be changed to his full name and give respect to him". ## The Karni Sena does not stop with just title change as they have other conditions too. They have demanded that the film has to be shown to them first before its release. Singh said, "If they don't listen to our advice they will have to face the consequences. What happened to Sanjay Leela Bhansali during 'Padmaavat', the makers of this film will have to be prepared for it, too". ## The movie is written and directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi who had completed the script for Prithviraj in 2010 but found no one to back the project until Yash Raj Films came to his rescue in 2018, to revive the film.
