'Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse' Scores Second Biggest Thursday Previews For An Animated Movie

Los Angeles, June 2 - Sony Pictures' animated superhero movie Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is up for a fantastic opening weekend at the domestic (North America) box office after scoring the second biggest Thursday previews for an animated title. ## The sequel to "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" (2018) grabbed eyeballs with an excellent $17.40 million off previews that began at 3 PM domestically. This is the second-biggest preview for an animated movie ever after Disney/Pixar's "Incredibles 2" ($18.5M) in 2018. ## Riding high with rave reviews, "Across The Spider-Verse" Thursday previews gross is 4.5x more than what the first film "Into The Spider-Verse" did which was $3.5 million before putting the 3-day opening weekend of $35.3 million. ## The Hollywood Trade initially projected a $75 million - $90 million opening weekend for the sequel, however, after the fantastic Thursday previews, the projection is now $115 million - $125 million which will be more than thrice of the first film. Producer Amy Pascal Teases Two More Spider-Man Movies

Los Angeles, June 1 - Sony Pictures' animated superhero movie "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" finally hits theaters this weekend worldwide amid roaring critics' scores, indicating that the studio might have a massive winner in their hands. ## As "Across the Spider-Verse" has been released, the producers have set their eyes on the third installment "Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse" which releases in March next year. Now, the good news is that the 3rd movie is not the only Spider-Man project in the makers' minds. ## Producer Amy Pascal confirmed to Variety's reporter Marc Malkin at the "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" premiere in Los Angeles that the studio is already working on "Spider-Woman" movie along with the live-action version of Miles Morales. Mumbai, May 31 - Universal Pictures' action thriller film Fast X has turned into a big success at the Indian box office. The Vin Deisel-fronted movie is performing well during the second week and has crossed the 100 crores net box office mark in all versions. ## The 10th main installment in the "Fast & Furious" franchise scored around 100.15 crores net collection in 14 days after scoring 2.05 crores on its second Wednesday. It has become the first Hollywood movie to enter the 100 crores net club in India.## The last Hollywood movie to enter the Century box office club in India was James Cameron's all-time blockbuster "Avatar: The Way of Water" which went on to score over 390 crores in all languages. Johnny Depp Responds To Hollywood's Boycott Calls Against Him

'Fast X' Opening Day Advance Booking Status In India

Mumbai, May 17 - Hollywood films are having a good time at the Indian box office as recently released two low-profile films "John Wick: Chapter 4" and "Evil Dead Rise" emerged as surprise hits with the former went to scoring over 50 crores net collection.## Marvel Studios' "Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3" is also performing well and is nearing the 50 crores net mark. This momentum is expected to be continued as Universal Pictures' much-awaited Fast X, which is a bigger Hollywood IP than the aforementioned two films, is releasing next on this Thursday, May 18. ## The 10th installment of the "Fast & Furious" franchise is among the most-awaited Hollywood films, and keeping that in mind, the advance booking for the same was opened a month ago. "Fast And Furious 9: The Fast Saga", which was released during the peak of covid-19, took the opening of just 1.90 crores and went on to score around 14 crores in lifetime collection in India. ## "Fast X", which is releasing in a much better time, will look to open with a double-digit mark. As per reports, the movie would be released on around 2500 screens in India, so the double-digit opening is very much on the table, and if it gets favorable word of mouth, then it is sure to have a very good lifetime collection. The combined budget of the 4 films in the series is around $230 million while the total gross collection now stands at $1.01 billion, including $425 million for the 4th installment. ## The first film in the series, "John Wick" was released in 2014 and grossed $87.08 million at the global box office against a budget of around $20 million.
