'Oppenheimer' Becomes Highest-Grossing Non-Superhero Movie Of Christopher Nolan At The Worldwide Box Office
Los Angeles, September 3 - Filmmaker Christopher Nolan's R-Rated atom bomb movie Oppenheimer has crossed another major box office milestone at the worldwide box office with $850 million, becoming the third highest-grossing movie for Nolan. ## Starring Cillian Murphy in the title role, the movie has generated $311 million (2570) in North America and $542.7 million (4490 crores) internationally through 7th weekend. With $853.70 million (7060 crores), "Oppenheimer" is now the highest-grossing non-Batman movie of Nolan, after surpassing "Inception" ($837M). ## Nolan's "The Dark Knight" ($1 billion) and "The Dark Knight Rises" ($1.08 billion) are currently his top two highest-grossing movies worldwide. "Oppenehier" is eyeing $950 million with an outside chance of hitting $1 billion in its lifetime run, which is nothing short of a remarkable achievement. ## "Oppenehimer" is also Christopher Nolan's highest-grossing movie of all time in 59 overseas markets, including India, Germany, France, Netherlands, Brazil, Spain, Italy and Saudi Arabia. In India, the movie has grossed excellent $18.9 million (156 crores) to-date, which is the highest for a Hollywood movie this year.## It also stands as the third-highest grossing film worldwide of the year behind "Barbie" ($1.38 billion) and "The Super Mario Bros.
